Extortion is their primary job, plumbing comes second.
I have tried to get an itemized receipt but it's impossible to get in touch with them.
Quoted $1500 and charged $4000
they wouldn't send you anything in writing.
Be careful with them.
Adriana H.Very responsive and they take care of all town permits. The technician was friendly, professional and communicated well.
If I could give negative stars I would.
They were hired by a contractor who was hired by our homeowners insurance. They are not allowed back on our property and we seriously considered pressing charges/filing a police report.
The first time they came out was fine.
The second time they came out I got to listen to a poor guy get screamed and sworn at by Mike over the phone for about 15-20 minutes, after he did his best trying to fix a tricky situation that needed a special tool to finish.
The third time I don't know because no one was at the house. They entered our home without approval. They left the outside door ajar and the door to the construction area wide open, so our cat could have gotten out of the house or stuck/hurt in the construction area. No to mention that is breaking and entering, and the fear that someone had been in our home. We only realized it was the plumbers when we saw the issue from the prior visit was fixed.
They had tried to reach me but I couldn't answer as I was in meetings at work, they decided to enter anyway despite being told by the contractor to not enter unless we had given permission.
When confronted Mike said 'well you wanted it done, right?' and was so infuriatingly blasé about it all.
All involved know that we will not allow them to set foot in our home again, and we seriously considered pressing charges for breaking and entering
Patriot is my go to team for my hotel. They know the space well and do amazing work!
We had used CTW Plumbing and Heating for years, and had good experience with Caleb and with Anthony. However, we are so disappointed with the service and especially the billing from this last visit that we will looking for another plumber.
We called CTW for help with a frozen valve on the supply line to a toilet and two clogged bathroom sink drains, but we learned that Patriot Plumbing had taken over CTW's business.
Anthony arrived and got to work, carefully getting the valve loosened. When it came to the drains, though, he puttered with it a bit and then told us to get a drain-clearing service to come in. We had already been waiting a few days for the service so now we would have to wait for another company to come in ... in other words, a big disappointment.
When Anthony went to leave, he rather awkwardly told us that he didn't think there would be a charge. It felt a little like he might have been seeking a tip, but it was so different from our previous experience that we thanked him but didn't offer any money.
Then 10 days later we received a bill for $260: a $175 charge for an hour's work, a $75 ""truck charge"", and a $10 fuel charge. Neither the truck charge nor the fuel charge had been explained to us in advance.
I called their office and spoke with Becky, and told her that while I was prepared to pay the $175, the other charges were unwarranted. She responded that when I had filled in the form we had been provided before the visit that I had acknowledged a 2-hour minimum charge ... gotcha! (So I guess I was supposed to feel good that it was only $260 rather than $350+??)
I told her I thought the truck charge was bogus, and asked if there were situations where there was no truck charge - she said no, that charge is for all the stuff they bring along in the truck ... when Anthony had used little more than a wrench to unstuck the valve.
Becky offered to talk to management about getting the $10 fuel charge waived - I told her not to bother, but to tell her management that we would look for another plumber ... and that I thought these out-of-the-blue charges were sleazy.
We are sad about this outcome, but it's offensive to see a service company making up gratuitous fees rather than just being straight up about their hourly rate. It's worse than how airlines charge fees for extras rather than just being straight about the price of a ticket.
Rich F.Have been using them for years; they do great work and show up as scheduled. Not only have they kept my furnace running the installed my dishwasher, washing machine and gas dryer. Highly recommended
They came over to look at the work we needed done and we never saw or heard from them again. We even called them to ask about our estimate but never heard anything.
Teri L.This review is looooooooooong overdue. This company is fantastic. They have come over twice to do work for my home and they are always very professional and personable to talk to. They give fair estimates of the work that needs to be done and explain everything step by step to help prevent any additional issues from happening. One gentleman, Mike, was especially nice when I needed some extensive plumbing work when a leak from the apartment upstairs had ruined my ceiling. I'll definitely use them again for any future plumbing issues.
