I contacted them to replace my hot water heater. (I believe I was connected with them through American Home Shield.) They gave me a reasonable estimate, so I moved forward with having them replace it. About an hour before they were supposed to come, I get a call saying they gave me an estimate that was too low and that the water heater ended up costing much more. While I didn't think that this was really my problem, I'm a fair person, and we split the difference.

This was just the start of my issues. The technician who replaced my water heater got gross, rusty water all over my bathroom and while he tried to clean it up as best as he could, I was finding rusty water stains for months.

In order to get the boiler inspected by the town, paperwork with a certain seal has to be submitted from any contractor. I called and emailed PMC for OVER A YEAR, asking them to submit the paperwork. Every time I was able to speak to a human, she was confused as to why Brian didn't submit the paperwork and would follow up. I would never hear back. I finally gave up cause I wasn't sure what else I could do. This was in July 2021.

In September 2023, I reached out again to resolve this issue and threatened to take legal action. Unsurprisingly, I heard back right away and the paperwork was finally submitted. However, as part of the agreement, they were supposed to pay the town fee for the inspection, and what a shock, they did not. I didn't even bother contacting them and just submitted the payment myself cause the thought of going back and forth was too much.

As part of the inspection, the town asked for a hose to be replaced and said they should have replaced it in the first place. I will give PMC credit because when I contacted them about the hose, they sent someone the following day. I thought I was finally done with them. I was wrong.

About a month later I went to check in on the property and was greeted by the smell of gas. PSE&G came immediately and told me that one of the connections for the new hose was not tightened properly. Of course it wasn't. Thank god nothing serious happened and PSE&G was able to fix it.

Moral of the story: DO NOT USE PATRIOT MECHANICAL CONTRACTING.

Not reliable
Forced to have them by HomeServe. They just take the jobs but do not follow up, not responsive. Job not completed

I am sad to say I had a negative experience with this company. I was referred by another company and called Brian/texted him on a Tuesday, he called me back pretty soon and was able to set me up with an appointment for Friday. He told me 12, the confirmation text said between 12-1. OK I thought I could make this work on my lunch hour. I called Brian, left a VM and texted him this afternoon, no response. Very shady and bad business if you ask me. I called another company and they are coming today.

They should receive negative stars but by default had to choose 1 Star . When working as a contractor for American Home Shield, they showed up once.. did nothing then asked me what their guy Dean who showed up said bc they didn't have a report and then scheduled and rescheduled for almost 2 months .. sometimes not showing up for appt they scheduled and unable to reach them for a simple job that should take 20 min to repair. The last time I was able to get in touch w them, after they set up an appt and were then MIA, said ""We are sorry but we are not scheduling appts for another month if you want to wait "".. it's unreal . They expect me to wait 3 months to get a hot water heating element replaced which was probably the wrong g diagnosis anyway. Total
scam artists when working with the Hone Warranty Company. I was charged when nothing was done except wasting my time and causing aggravation. I'm reporting them to the BBB. There are similar reviews online with the same issues. Con artists

When I initially called to schedule the repair, I told the woman in their office that it was to repair a salt pellet water softener that was leaking. My husband had turned off the water supply to the water softener because my basement floor was flooded with water leaking from the water softener. The plumber came to my house (he was prompt and courteous, I have zero issues with him) and told my husband that their company does not repair salt pellet water softeners (even though it was very clear that the repair was needed for a salt pellet softener). My husband gave the plumber the $75 service fee - even though no service was provided - assuming that I'd take it up with the office. I called the office that day, detailed the situation, and asked that the check not be cashed because the service appointment was an error on their part and there was no reason for a plumber to come to my house if they don't repair salt pellet softeners. The woman on the phone took my message and said that the owner would be in contact. Two months and about a dozen phone calls later, the owner has never returned a call. The woman I have spoken to on the phone has always been very understanding and I am sure the owner has received my messages. Shady business practices.

I needed to hire a plumber to replace a water main that was lead, I like to do things myself but this was a little to much so I did my homework and decided to hire Bryan and his crew, they did a great job from start to finish.

I wish I could give them zero stars. They came out to my house, didn't finish the job, bc they said I needed parts, and then never called me back or returned 7 phone calls and 5 texts from me over three days.

They were referred to me thru my home insurance who handled the claim and Patriot hasn't called the insurance ppl back either, so my hope is they will drop them from their vendor list.

oh yeah and try and call their office phone.....NO ONE ever answers it. I have been calling it for 4 days in a row...in the morning and at night ....no answer, you get vm and right....you guessed it....no one calls you back.

plumbers are a dime a dozen......go elsewhere.

A plumbing backup led to a call to my plumber, which led in turn to have the line snaked, after which it was discovered I needed to replace an old cast iron pipe in the yard. I searched Angie's List and received a call immediately from Brian. He was able to come out the same day and assess the work needed. Two days later he was here exactly when he said he would be, and completed the work when he said he would. Excellent communication and results. Would hire again.

We were put in touch with Patriot through our home warranty company after our water and heating supply pipes froze. They responded to our emergency situation immediately, gave us a very reasonable proposal to fix the damage and were able to start work the next business day. Due to the way our system was originally piped, it was determined that installing a whole new plumbing system was the best course of action. We were kept informed of all of our options during the entire process; we never felt like we were pressured into doing or buying anything unnecessary; the entire crew was courteous and professional and you could tell that they enjoy what they do. We're very happy with our new system and plan on reaching out to Patriot again when we redo our master bathroom. I very highly recommend this company.

The owner of the plumbing business reported that my leak was due to high water pressure so it would not be covered by insurance. I can't imagine after 26 years the pressure being so high that it breaks NOW.
