Left us without heat for 2 days, during sub 40 degree temperatures because they waited until the last minute to get a part they knew they needed all day. And tried to blame the supplier, claiming they closed early.

02 May 2024 RE: Patricks HVAC in Ocala, Florida This is about the WORST, MOST INCOMPETENT, NON-USER FRIENDLY company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. Having had good experiences with their Sarasota franchisee I contracted with them to replace my old HVAC system here in Ocala FL October 2023. It took 4 of thier techs (STOOGES) 6 visits to install the unit (including their 3 hour widow at about 4-6 hours per visit). Unsurprisingly it did not pass permit inspection. Among the defects: they forgot the drain pan, they didn't install a drain/clean out line at the air handler, they installed the exterior drain line upside down and without a trap, didn't specify amps for circuit breaker and much more. They kept hounding me to schedule another permit inspection as we were bumping np against the 6 month window for the permit to be signed off on - to which I replied without them sending out someone to mitigate the issues detected in the first inspection there would be no point in wasting more of my time and the inspector's too. I finally reached """"Ben"""" the GM. He told me he spoke with inspector and assured me that it would pass this time. It took inspector less than 10 minutes to fail the install (what's the definition of insanity?) As part of my deal for the HVAC, their sales guy """"AJ"""" agreed to send out techs to unclog the drain in my washing machine. They sent out 4 techs (alledged plumbers but just more STOOGES) about 6 times for between 3-5 hours each visit). Eventually they threw up their hands and admitted they couldn't figure out what was causing the clog. I then called a real plumber who diagnosed and repaired the clog in under 15 minutes. I sincerely hope the above account of how awful they are avoids them like Herpes.

Mr. Jones: How difficult was it to fulfill my request for insurance and licenses? I am now awaiting an inspection for the water and the A/C systems. I am assuming the permits were applied for? I also require copies of the permits when completed and signed off for my records The water system was completed by Rich York 28 March 2023. The A/C system thermostat and circuit breaker changes were made the same day by Guardo and Bo. I was informed that Lennox was shipping the incorrect heater in the A/C unit that was formerly used in a unit they no longer produce. This also required replacement. Who is responsible for this at the manufacturer? Again, no communication. Who makes the decision to put out a piece of equipment with the incorrect components? I received two quotes for an underground line replacement and a water heater replacement via electronic communication. An AO-Smith, 50-gallon, 10 year electric water heater at Lowe's is $609.00 your quote for a water heater replacement is $2,467.00. How do you arrive at that figure? Minimal PVC piping, removal and replacement of existing water heater, disposal of old water heater, permit fee, 5 hours labor at best, including drive time. Your proposal is 4 times the cost of the heater at Lowe's, you've got to be kidding me!! The quote to replace about 60 feet of copper underground water supply line was $3,875.00. Where do you come up with these figures? Let's analyze this. A truck with upkeep costs, gasoline, liability and Worker's comp insurances and technician pay equals about $125 per hour of operation. Let's up it to $150 per hour. An 8-hour day @ $150 equals $1,200 per day on the road including one employee. Using the cost of $3,875 to replace 60 feet of in ground copper water service pipe. Approximately $200 in materials. Labor of two people for 1 day, truck plus one additional employee. Say $40 per hour for the second employee x 8 hours = $320 for the day + $1,200 for the driver and truck = $1,520 for the day; let's round it up to $1,800. This includes one full day to dig up and replace about 60 feet of copper water service line, including drive time, provided they had the proper materials to complete the job without having to go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Add in $500 total profit and we come in at $2,300 well below $3,875.00 I was quoted. I was in the electrical contracting business as an apprentice, journeyman and business owner. I've spent over 50 years in this industry and have never seen price gouging like this in my life. As for your """"salesman"""" he is so full of bull you could fertilize Marion County with what he puts out. He told me the water system should only use about 4 bags of salt per YEAR! I asked him when someone would be out to balance the A/C system after the install? I was told the system will """"self- balance"""" over time. I have worked on and with techs that maintained and repaired systems in buildings from 500,000 to 1.5 million square feet. Systems do not balance themselves!!! We overpaid for the A/C and the water system only because we received financing, deferred interest with a USA made product. I am certain if I had shopped the contractors locally I could have received better pricing. I was also quoted a price by your """"salesman"""" for two new supply drops and one return drop to a porch. The price your """"salesman"""" quoted me was the two drops $795 each, with a distribution box, the return drop $995 and distribution box. You've got to be kidding me. I have already received a quote for half that cost from a local company. I can do a material take off to determine those costs. This is not brain surgery. So you've got me once but unless something goes wrong with either system under warranty, you will never see me again. You are gouging the public and I will make it known to everyone I can. Poor planning and logistics, poor communication with the customer, poor communication with the technicians in the field who have to do the work with poor, incorrect or incomplete directions and parts. Prior planning prevents piss poor performance. Your company has all the earmarks of a company that cares little about their presence in the community, their customers and are 100% bottom line oriented. I have been happy with the technicians I have had personal contact with. Guardo Clark and Bo for A/C, Rich York for the water system. Your sales staff and follow up when I ask for something, leaves a great deal to be desired. Someone is still sending my wife emails and calling her about this project. I gave Chris Stevens my personal email address and phone number. Don't your personnel understand customer directions? When I spoke with you on the phone all you could do is try and excuse your way out of any statement I made. When I requested insurance documents from Chris Stevens via text message, he called and asked if something was wrong. His demeanor indicated to me he was somehow offended that I should even ask for this information. These documents should be pres

When I discovered I had a gas leak I called Teco gas right away to repair it. When the technician inspected the leak he shut off the gas and told us we would need to call someone that was certified to repair it. He offered us a list of people he recommended and on the list was Patrick's heating and air. I wasn't sure how an A/C company was going to fix my gas leak? When we called they knew what we needed and they were SO friendly and helpful. When the technician from Patrick's arrived, there was a problem and I would need to contact Teco again. The office assistant at Patrick's already took the initiative to call Teco and get the problem resolved so I didn't have to do a thing. The professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond blew us away. There is no doubt we will use them again and recommend them to our friends and family.

***** CALL SOMEONE ELSE ***** They came to my house on 2/31/2021 to replace a leaking Solar Water Storage Tank. SIX (6) weeks later they showed up with a tank. As they were working on it, I asked the field supervisor if they were licensed to do SOLAR work. He said yes. I also asked if they knew how to install this type of tank. He said yes. The plumber did not finish the job of switching the tank and said he would be back the next day. He arrived and finished up the job. THEN, he filled the roof panel supply with straight water - NO ANTIFREEZE. The weather called for a possible freeze, which would have destroyed the collector on the roof. I asked him if he had ever installed this type of system. He said no and that he just arrived from N.Y. and they do not have these systems up there. He, nor the supervisor knew knew nothing about Indirect Water-Heating Systems (REQUIRED IN MARION COUNTY). I told him that this system requires an ANTIFREEZE FLUID and that he cannot leave the water in the collector. He said OK, CUT THE LINE and drained it into my garage and left. Leaving 1/2"""" of water on my floor! I called the supervisor and told him what he had done and that I did not want that man back in my house. No one at Patrick's seemed concerned about what he had done. The next day, the supervisor, 3 others and the plumber I did not want back were here. The N.Y. plumber repaired the line as the others sat outside reading the instructions for the tank. Again I asked the supervisor about being licensed to install SOLAR. This time he told me no. Somehow they figured they had the WRONG tank and it had to be replaced because they ordered the wrong tank. So, they ordered another tank. Another week went by and the 2nd tank arrived. They installed it and then realized it was the exact same tank they removed. So, off they go again for a few more weeks. They finally returned with the same model of tank I originally had. This they installed (a different plumber did the job). Once done, they realized they did not order the switch that activated the pump to circulate the ANTIFREEZE through the tank. All this time (since 12/31/2020) I was using electricity to heat our water and I let him know I have been paying for hot water. So, he plugged the pump directly into an outlet so the collector would heat the water. I turned off the breaker. About 2 weeks later (no switch yet), I heard a loud whine in the garage. The pump had been running 24/7 for a couple of weeks. This was about 8:30pm, Sun had been down about 1.5 hours. The pump was locked up and touching it burned my hand. This pump is NOT a continuous duty device. Again, I called the office. They had no idea it needed the switch. NO ONE TOLD THE OFFICE. I was also told they would replace the pump (Carmine, the office manager, told me he would). I turned the breaker back on in order to have hot water. Another 4 weeks came and went without a switch. I called and was told they were waiting for it to come in. Another 4 weeks went by, I called again and suggested they buy one retail. A week later, a different plumber showed up and installed the switch. I had to tell him that the timer on the tank had to be set so the pump did not circulate water all night and turn our hot water into cold water. He said he would talk to the manager about replacing the pump. He told me that it was always replaced when the tank was replaced. This has taken 4 months. YES, 4 MONTHS! So, after another week, I called the office. Carmine, the manager refuses to talk to me and will not authorize the ladies to pass on any information to me. Finally, after 3 weeks of calling, he said he was not going to replace the pump. The impeller locked up - IT IS GOING TO SEIZE AGAIN. I also wanted to know when the GUARANTEE went into effect and that I was not 100% satisfied with the job and wanted the refund they advertise. It has been another 2 weeks and NO CALL from them. 05/17/2021 They also replaced all of my COPPER PIPE with cheap plastic pipe and DID NOT INSULATE THE PLASTIC PIPES. THIS IS A SOLAR HOT WATER SYSTEM!!! AND, let's not forget, the supervisor that wrote on my quote that the tank was guaranteed for ten years was a typo! He said it is only good for 6 years. We can settle that in court... ***** STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE *****

Patrick's was contacted to service an AC hat was not cooling the house properly. Technician came out and indicated Freon leak and charged $764 to replace Freon. The house still was registering inside 88 degrees, called again and they sent a different technician that was very helpful but subsequently said the duct work was bad, agreed to duct work repair of $1295 however the house was still not cooling, called a different service and they identified that the Freon was leaking due to a broken valve which was missed by 2 Patrick's air technicians. The system is working and cooling at 74 degrees. The irony of this situation is that Patrick's tried to sell us a new unit. I would not recommend them to anyone.

They tried to trap my senior neighbor in On Top of the World $12,000 for a AC unit. She got it for $6000 from someone else. They tried to sell me a $4000 UV system, when all I needed was a $50 UV bulb replacement for our AC unit. These new owners of the Patrick company name are scammers. Beware!

Experienced good service during the sales portion of the interaction. Installation was good and the installers were professional. The issues we experienced are with the office staff. 4 ( FOUR) times they say they scheduled the final inspection with Sumter County. We were told that we HAD to stay home all day during these 4 ( FOUR ) scheduled times. Yesterday we were called and told that TODAY the inspector would be here. This morning my husband called Patricks to confirm and we were told it was today. At 130pm I called Sumter County and they said that there was NOTHING scheduled for today or ever at our address from Patricks. I called Patricks and Jasmin said that she would call County. She called back and said it was for 7/12. I called the County back and they said they keep phone records and that no one had ever scheduled an inspection until 10 minutes ago. I called and spoke with our salesman who told us to call him ANYTIME with ANY ISSUES. I am happy that Patricks phone says that they record their calls for training. BEN ( salesman) said it was the County's fault and that I should be angry with them. He then changed his tune and said that his office staff was new as the old staff person there had to leave due to her husband dying and that I should be more understanding. SOOooo.....Now it was MY FAULT and NOT the County's fault or Patricks fault. Ben told me to take my business somewhere else ( we wanted new duct work and new hot water heater) and that I should be more understanding of new office staff. I told him I just want someone in authority of the office staff to realize that their staff needed closer supervision during their TRAINING period as it was causing havoc with their customers. I reminded him that it was I who was the customer and hired them and not them hiring me to be understanding for staying home 3 days due to their clerical errors. I must say that I do not like being blamed for this company and its clerical errors Nor do I like the tone that BEN gave. I am filing a report with BBB and seeking out the parent company to ask for relief.

When a sales man shows up with the service tech in a separate vehicle, and starts talking a new unit even before they know what's wrong with the unit. It's only 7 years old. The tech never did send me the quotes he showed me his tablet. The tech gave me numbers for repairs that it could possibly need. They make the repaired quotes $$ so high they get you thinking of just replacing the broken unit. And that is their business model. This company is a monster, each location owned by a franchise. And with those, they are only as honest as that owner. In my case, it was cringe from the second the opened their mouths.
