I have recently used Pat Sementa
Not only did they not come when promised but they over charged me
on an ignition module by 350 percent.
A part that costs retail $130 they charged me $469. Later
Called office but they never returned my call.

Unless you want to spend two thousand dollars a pipe and be completely and utterly scammed do not use this company. The employees are rude and condescending, with unnecessary remarks about things that have nothing to do with them.. Just outright disrespectful, you can tell they are used to arguing with people about inflated prices, scamming is a part of their routine. When you have a contract with them, they will tell you one price and then include clauses that will inflate the already inflated cost to thousands of dollars over what you agreed to. This company preys on people's lack of knowledge. Unfortunately when my family chose this company I was out of town and could not properly vet them. Do not work with these people. They originally tried to charge us $7000 dollars for a job that we got done by a very reputable company for $1500.. now that's insane! Save your money and your sanity.

Do not waste your time or money on this Company. They charge exuberant prices for service and parts. They also have UNQUALIFIED Personnel to fix your problems. They will try to overcharge you for parts well above Mfg. cost. Take your business elsewhere and SAVE MONEY !!

I've been working with Pat Sementa Plumbing for 2 1/2 years now - they are mostly good at what they do, just a little difficult with scheduling since it's tough for them to give a time frame for arrival - which of course has to do with the techs prior stop but I'm still looking forward for their scheduling to improve especially for us 9-5 folks that need evening help.

James is one of the best there- he really takes his time explaining things and gives the best examples for us folks that have no idea how things work or why they don't work.


Thanks James for always being patient and genuine- oh and for the restaurant recommendations.

The ladies who answer the phones and set appointments are tough cookies but will help you get the job done.

Tip: always go for the all inclusive plan...and read the fine print regarding your tuneups and parts included in this plan.

During the inspection phase of a home purchase I had Pat Sementa plumbing and heating inspect the furnace. Their finding was that the furnace does not work and the thermostat needs replacing. They could replace for $3800.
FACT:The furnace does work.

Horrible. Ignored my calls repeatedly. When we asked them to finish the job they refused to do it promptly even though it was dead of winter and heating was needed ASAP. Finally got another company to finish the job and then Pat Sementa had the audacity to sue us for nonpayment of the service call even after ignoring our phone calls for a week! They wanted $130 for service plus an additional $1,500 for having it paid 30 days late.

If I never hear the name Pat Sementa again in my life it would still be too soon!

They are the worst. The first call the person who answered didn't say anything and then rudely said Hello!!! I made an appointment for 5:30, left work early and was told to call them when I got home so they could send a technician. I called at 4:59 when I got home and they said they would send someone. At 6:15 I called again and asked when the technician would be here...She said she didn't know, he was on a call in Manhattan! I live in Yonkers. At 7:15 she called to say they couldn't make the appointment, did I want to reschedule for tomorrow?? NO thank you and lose my information!!!

By far the worst heating company in existance. The only compnay that comes to your house everyday for 3 weeks straight and does not fix fhe heat. They either don't show up. Or show up and don't fix the problem. Buyer beware

Holy s$#@.. The pilot light on my hot water heater wouldn't stay on and since I was about leaving for the day and was unable to look into it myself, my wife called Pat Sementa.
Long story short, the technician showed up about 9:00pm, I had just gotten home..I took him downstairs and he proceeded to troubleshoot the problem. Took him forever to get to the burner assembly, he kept tugging and twisting..getting frustrated.
After approx. 15 mins, he told me I had an electronic unit and he didn't have the part, so someone will return on the AM to replace it. I had to pay the $163.00 service fee then.. I did, then he left.
Five minutes later, I received a call from the office. The woman said that I needed a ""24volt combination valve"" and the part cost $545.00. I asked her if the service fee was included and she said no... the $545.00 was additional, plus taxes.
I declined additional repairs and hung up.
I did a YouTube search and found some great videos matching the exact problems I was having. Next morning, I went to a local plumbing supply store, (Automatic Heating) and found the part for $70.00.... Not the part that was suggested by Pat Sementa's tech, that cost $99.00...didn't need it.
Took me all of 15 minutes to replace the thermocouple assembly fired up and working perfectly. Thanks internet, Google, YouTube!!
Pat Sementa Heating... please avoid them. I usually look companies up before I call but I was so pressed for time I didn't look them up. I would have seen all the negative reviews about them online and avoided those crooks.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!! You've been warned. ;)

Never, ever, EVER hire anyone from this company. The word ""psychopath"" comes to mind when I think of the service I received from their ""plumbers"". Their prices are WAY too high, they are unprofessional (not returning calls, not showing up when they say they will), and they do sub-par work. Honestly, I don't even know how they are still in business.
