Called this company due to a leaking shower faucet. Paid $411 for this company to change out a delta shower cartridge. The next day, I noticed a loud squealing coming from shower. I called the company requesting for them to send someone back out to resolve the issue. A different plumber came, he then said the termal expansion tank attached to the water heater and the water pressure valve for the main water line needed to be replaced and that I would have to pay around $800. I refused service. I called company expressing this issue. I then hired another plumber to reaolve who then easily replaced the shower cartridge within like 15 minutes and the loud squealing noise stopped. I called pascale plumbing requesting a refund or atleast a partial refund. The woman said they would be willing to give a partial refund after collecting the shower cartridge from me. When I called back to set up a date for them to collect the shower cartridge they never answered and I left a voicemail. I never got a response and never got a refund. It's rare for me to leave reviews, but the price they charged was not worth the horrible service.

I used Cheap Charlie's a few years ago when my hot water heated died. I should have known when I call the first time that it seemed shady, took them forever to come out. Had them do the install anyway and they were VERY expensive, I should have researched this but of course when it just dies you are in a panic. They had to come out after the install to install a part that should have been installed in the beginning.
Now aprox 2 yrs later I have a slow drip and have called them to come and service it and they have not shown for the two scheduled appointments.
Do your homework before using these guys!

Love the service. I had them do all the plumbing in my house and I have no complaints, They were very patient while I asked a ton of questions. Would definitely recommend.

Came to our restaurant to replace a part on a hot water heater. Told us heater should be replaced. I had the part on hand to fix it , just needed plumber to install it. He broke another part while replacing the part I had supplied- then charged us for it. $900 for 2 visits of 1.5 hours each. Never again!

Angelo (the owner?) seemed competent enough on the phone, and was nice enough to come out at 8 in the evening to look into our leaking water heater. One star for that, another for being able to replace the heater the next day and for giving a slight discount off of his original quote.

The two techs that he sent replaced the heater, but didn't do great work. They used crimp connections vs solder. Additionally, they didn't support the expansion tank until I asked them to, and initially left a gap when they cemented the water heater vent pipe to the chimney. These mistakes would likely have resulted in a failed inspection and possibly CO leaking into the home.

The water heater was put directly onto the concrete floor with no spacer blocks, and the techs claimed they'd have to shorten the gas pipe to add the spacers -- they had to shorten it anyway since the new heater's gas nipple wasn't in the exact same place and they were adding a gas shutoff valve.

Lastly, I took a shower a few hours after the heater was replaced -- very low water pressure in the bathroom and the pipes downstairs were very noisy. Turns out that the technicians didn't fully re-open the water valve to the house after they finished their work.

These guys are the worst. Called at noon and was told to expect someone in 2 hours. Called back 2.5 hours later and was told someone would be here soon. It's 8pm and no one ever showed or called. These people are completely unreliable and unprofessional.

Get a few estimates before contracting them, especially if you do not know about plumbing charges. We received an estimate from this company, who informed us it would take 2 guys and two days to do the job. The estimate given was $1,200 more than someone who did the job, by himself in 5 hours. Please be careful with contracting people without getting a few estimates.

I'm hoping Cheap Charlie's reads these reviews and starts charging decent prices and not these rip off quotes.

I would highly recommend using this plumbing service. After my water heater broke, I contacted three other plumbers who said they could only install a new (way more expensive) tankless water heater, because they said the one I had was no longer available. Cheap Charlies spent half a day locating the same water heater I had, and then made sure it was installed that night, (they were there until 11:30pm) ...and it cost far less than the other three estimates. They even followed up the next day to make sure everything was good. Exceptional, professional service.

Never use this guy for any plumbing services. 8 months ago, he replaced my well pump. Still under warranty, the pump blew. I have been without water since New Years Eve. We called another plumber (Noble) first and he confirmed it, however this plumber who confirmed it recommended cheap charlie to us. This horrid nightmare excuse for a businessman now wants $500.00 labor to replace the pump and has come up with another problem with our system and blames the pump blowing on that. He wants $1500.00 to do the work. Don't ever use Cheap Charlies or Noble Plumbing & Heating. Sussex County seems to be a hot bed for all unscrupulous business practices.
