Penny H.I have given this company THOUSANDS of dollars in the last two years and I still have water in my basement! According to the person who answered the phone today... ""They can't control Mother Nature!"" However, they could send out a plumber who could charge me more money ""to fix"" the problem! I'll clean up the mess! No thanks, EVER AGAIN!!!
I highly recommend Parks Plumbing and Sewer. We had a broken sewer line and basement flooding. We interviewed several firms who proposed various remedies, most of which addressed only some of our issues. When we met with Matt Finnegan from Parks, he presented us with a comprehensive plan to address all of our problems. Matt was very responsive to our concerns. The work men were neat, polite and helpful. Thanks to Parks we now have a dry basement.
I had extensive work done January 2018 costing thousands of dollars by another plumbing company which left me with a mound of dirt in my front yard, a flooded bathroom and basement. Every time they worked on one thing, something else needed to be replaced. In all, the experience left me with a bad opinion of plumbers. One year later, I developed a leak in a pipe leading to my bathroom vanity. I waited 5 months to call another plumbing company because I just couldn't go through an experience like I had. A friend recommended Parks'. Bill & Enrique efficiently replaced the pipe and installed a new vanity. They performed the work for which I had been given an estimate and nothing else broke. They restored my opinion of plumbers. Wish I had used them in the first place.
Park's Plumbing and Sewer installed a flood control system for me last month, April 2019. I don't believe that I have ever worked with such a professional organization. They came out in February and gave me a estimate. On time and professional. Walked around my house and showed me where water could potentially be coming in at.
When I committed to the project, the estimate packet they gave me laid out all the steps involved on day one and day two. Prior to the job starting they had they're electrician come out and see if I would need additional electrical work done. He showed up on time, and indicated that I would not have to have additional electrical work done. (This would have been an easy way to make another $350 because I had no idea).
Overall I give them an A++. Everything went smoothly, on time and the final outcome so far has been great....The extra dirt was hauled off the very next day which made my neighbor extremely happy....
Robyn W.Updated down to ONE star. We asked for a ""free estimate"" and the office told us that they don't. I have the written estimate so you really must have HUGE balls to say we're lying about your inflated prices.
If you have my ticket then you'll see NO WORK done. Why was no work done? Because it was an estimate which they charge for. Smh.
I was having an issue with two shower drains. I called Park they came and literally looked at the drain and told me I needed it rodded. They did not remove the drain cover or touch the drain to determine the problem. It would cost me $249 per drain to have it rodded out. My issue is, they did nothing to diagnose the problem, so at least take the price of the service call off of the cost of the work done. Like other reviewers, I paid my $69 and did not have them do the work.
Toilet Clogged? Save yourself $733.00.
Had a clogged toilet and called Parks for a estimate to rod out the toilet line in my basement. They said they can't estimate over the phone and need to come out and look at it for $89. OK, that makes sense. The guy comes out, says it's probably the injector pump. Goes over, listens to the injector pump and determines that it is working. Then says ""yep, the line is clogged"". OK, I knew that. That's why I called you. How much? Well, we have to take the toilet off, that's $314. Then rod out the line, that's $419. By the way, you should still replace your injector pump, that's $1523. Needless to say, I was shocked. $733 to rod out the line? Can't you at least try a toilet snake or something before we rip out the toilet? No, the clog can be all the way down the line. Now, if you're not stupid enough to pay the $733, then you still owe the $89. OK, here's the $89 and get out of the house. That's my story.
By the way, go on YouTube. Pour dish washing liquid down the toilet, wait about 30 minutes. Then pour hot water down the toilet and hit it with a good plunger. Clog was gone. This is the truth. And they are supposed to be the professionals.
Bill F.If you have an issue with water or basement flooding, you may want to find some other company other than Parks. I spent over $2000 on their services, to no avail. In addition, they sent me a contract, clearly stating the work to be performed, and I watched as they did not complete the work, but insisted they did. When they finally checked, they agreed they did not complete the work, and offered me a discount. I don't like being ripped off, and they did just that. Go with an honest company.
I'm not satisfied with the job they did. They took much more for the job. They didn't even help with the work, my dad did most of the job for them. They told me someone else need to come to do an estimate on another job. I'm and my parents aren't satisfied and happy with the job they did. I would not recommend them to anyone. Maybe they help someone else but for us they didn't help. My dad did all the job my himself after they left and found the problem. Instead of calling them for help my dad could of done everything by himself and we wouldn't had to pay a lot of money for nothing. WE ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE JOB. When they seen two woman they charged us more then they should.
H. Ellen C.Parks was one of a number of plumbers we called to help us solve sewer and flooding issues in our basement. They pitched a flood control system without thoroughly inspecting the issues (where other companies inspected the lines with a camera - free of charge - and gave us a number of other solutions that seemed more tailored to the problem). We were told that a number of other houses in our neighborhood had flood control so that must be what we need! I'm still not convinced that would have solved our problems - we went with another company who was able to address our specific issues and we saved some money too. I trust that this company knows how to do a flood control system well - it was just not what we needed.
