We hired Parker and Sons to install a new air conditioner unit as well as a tankless water heater back in August of 2024. We went with this company because one of the managers was close with our general contractor (who we trusted). To make a long story short, this project cost us nearly $40,000. We were told specifically that this company was admittedly more expensive because they provided ""better service."" This was not our experience.
During this project we had 2 workers at our home installing the air conditioner, which involved using a crane to get a new air conditioner to our roof. The two workers were completely exhausted by the end of the day and said that this was definitely a job for more than two guys. This install was done on 10/22/24. We were told there would be someone out to adjust for airflow, but we did not hear from anyone. Then, on 11/3/24 there was a rainstorm in Tucson and the air conditioner duct began massively leaking into our dining room. I sent a video and tried to connect with someone at Parker and Son's - I was told to contact the ""Installation Manager"" (not one of the two guys working to install the unit). I called him and let him know about the leak and he said he would get out there that same night. He called me back an hour later and said he could not come but he would be there first thing in the morning. He did not show up the next morning. Two weeks went by and I finally met the ""Installation Manager.""
The installation manager provided us with inconsistent information regarding our AC unit, airflow, and repairing the damages caused by Parker and Son's. He would set appointments and then cancel. He would have technicians come out and not communicate with them about what needed to be done. We had a technician who came out several times and on one occasion inexplicably blocked off airflow to an entire room. Overall this was a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend this company - they overcharge and it is like pulling teeth to get them to complete the job. Finally, on 3/6/25 they came out to complete the work. $40,000 later, the arduous job of getting a new air conditioner and water heater installed is complete - nearly 5 months after the initial install.

We used Parker and Sons for several services including having our water heater drained on Feb. 26, 2025, and our technician was Connor. He was super....very personable and pleasant and really knew what he was doing. He gave extra advice when asked questions about how to take care of our water heater. Connor deserves 5 stars and we will request him for any future services that we need.

Got an appointment for yesterday between 2 and 6. They never showed called at 7:30 were supposed to call with an estimate on eta no call back. Still nothing as of 1 pm today had to put a star to post but I would say more like a minus 1 star

They are horrible with cancelling appointments- I have been cancelled on 2 times within the same number of weeks, both for ""service emergencies"" - Do all of their services just end in emergencies? It's so frustrating waiting around until AFTER your service window to then be told they won't be coming at all - Wish I never would have gotten the maintenance plan and given my service to another company instead

People were courteous but they quoted me $2000 to rebuild the inside of my running toilet tank and tub handle replacement. Please I'm old but not that dumb. Son in law did it all in a couple of hours today and less than $50 in parts.

Parker and Sons did the right thing for me to correct any issues. They were very fair to me and nice to work with

I wrote a one star review last week that appears to have been removed from this site.They quoted me $12,500 to repair my kitchen lights . Another electrician fixed the problem for $1400.00.Received a call from the Manager of Tucson Office who apologized and stated that she would remediate the problem by improved technician training even though the technician told me he had consulted with his supervisor.
The reason I am writing another review is that they also told me I could receive VIP service for future calls if I joined their Family Program for $6.99 per month which I agreed the day I called to make the service appointment. But after I received the outrageous quote to fix the problem, I called the office and requested a refund of my $6.99 and to stop all recurring charges.I was advised that the charge was not $6.99 per month as quoted but that my account was charged $13.99.Now 12 days later my charge card has not been credited even though I called again to follow up. I finally called my credit card company who is crediting back my money.
BTW, I live in Sonoita, AZ not Ojai as stated in my profile. I tried to correct it.

Quote of almost $400 to replace burned out plug. My out of town electrician brother law said the materials cost $8 at Home Depot. Price gouging in Tucson is out of control..

First they misled and charged me an obscene amount of money for a cheap ac unit, then the installation. It was installed in 4 hours. they came out on 5 occasions during the summer as the piece of junk kept failing to cool. Hours of my time wasted before the Manager contacted me and came out to see for himself. he sent a crew out to re-install the overpriced unit. they did a very good job of installation this time, 12 hours. more of my time and inconvenience however. 4 months later yesterday, the unit springs a gas leak. One would think they would hustle but no, have to wait a day. could be fire who knows. I would go out of my way to warn you to stay away! These so called service providers installed a new pressure regulator on my water main at the same time as original AC install. my pressure now sucks. 8 months of heartache. Buyer beware!

They have a good monthly program for maintenance services, but their prices for regular plumbing stuff are pretty outrageous. I was able to get the work done, very well, next day for 20% of the price they were charging.
That's kind of highway robbery. I believed Gerardo was fully capable of doing the work, but that price is too high!
