Again, Paris Plumbing came to our rescue.
We had a 'clean out' leak in our basement. Water everywhere.
Called Paris and was able to get someone scheduled.Jon was here in 2 hours and fixed the problem.
As usual, very professional from the call to the scheduler Jennifer to
Jon the fixer!...Thank you for doing such a great job!
Paris Plumbing is my go-to, has been for years. They just finished a small job for me, quick, knowledgeable, reasonably priced for quality service. Office staff is very helpful and professional too - I never call anyone else!
I have been remiss in writing reviews. However, in this case, out of a bit of annoyance, I felt compelled to share.
I have read all these great reviews for Paris Plumbing from Yelp. I was eager for them to finally do some work for me. I was all prepared to write a fabulous review for the fabulous job that I am sure they would have done. Yes, they are professional in taking calls, promptly answering questions, showing up for estimates and bids, etc., etc. For all that I give them ..... 5 stars.
But (long pause and deep sigh) when it was time to schedule and determine the scope of work, they stated they could not schedule my job and wished me luck in finding another plumber. It just ended there. In my confusion and befuddlement I quickly emailed back ""why?"" A short while later, the answer came. It was due to a big project they had so they were not taking on further work at this time. I guess the scope of my plumbing job was too small.
So I subtracted 3 stars cause they won't come out to do the great job I am sure they would have done on my plumbing project. I left 2 stars for great communication and for pleasantly informing me they won't be taking further work.
Fantastic experience, great price. I really appreciate the service and help that Jim provided us. Honest, helpful, and took care of our leak in no time. I will absolutely use them again. I'd highly recommend Paris Plumbing to anyone needing service.
The hot water heater went out in our firm, the head partner asked me to call Paris Plumbing. His son had used them and found them to be of great service. We were scheduled within a few days. What I was impressed with is we called out of the blue, never having our selves, used their services before and we were treated like lifelong customers. The Plumber they sent out, was actually early a few minutes. In addition we had a water line hooked up to our refrigerator and I asked if he would mind removing it, to get to the closet the hot water heater was in, and he was just fine with helping, when I went down to check out with him, he had even turned the water line back on for the fridge, and I didn't even have to ask. He left no mess, was timely and got us up and running with hot water again. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to save money and have on time service.
I had a very negative experience from this plumbing company. The plumber, Tim, overcharged me, did not give me an itemized bill, and charged me time for items he was unable to repair. When I called back to ask for a more detailed bill as I wanted to know how much each item cost and why a sink leak ended up costing almost $300, he became very defensive, yelled at me over the phone, and cursed at me. I was shocked. I have never ever been treated so poorly. He was a bully and lacked integrity. I do not recommend using Paris Plumbing for any services.
Unfortunately, my own experience has not been so positive with Paris Plumbing. Several months ago, I had PP out to repair a faulty drain lever in my main floor bath. Right about this time, the downstairs bath seemed to develope a 'humidity' problem.
After several months, I decide it cannot just be a humidity problem. I removed the drywall in the downstairs bathroom and started searching for the source of the moisture problem. It wasn't hard to figure out. From the downstairs bath, looking up to the main floor bath, I discovered that the upstairs bathtub was leaking down onto the bathroom below (where I was). I was not able to get PP to respond within my time constraints, so I hired a different plumber. At this point, it had not occurred to me that this was related to the lever that PP had replaced. However, the new plumber pinpointed the leak to the new drain lever and asked me if it had been replaced recently. He told me that while the lever was new, the gasket was old and crumbly, and the entire assembly was not tightened down. Apparently, if the shower water hit this assembly, water just ran down through it and onto the basement below. Bummer.
You know, I don't mind spending $200 to fix a previous plumbers mistake. I don't mind spending a week and hundreds more dollars to repair the water damage in my downstairs bathroom. I mean, it's my fault that I didn't realize this was a plumbing problem and not a humidity issue. Such is the life of a homeowner. None of this really bothers me, it's life.
What does bother me is when the person answering the phone lines for PP becomes snippy and unpleasant when I explain the situation. A simple, ""Oh, we're very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Is there anything we can do?"" would have been sufficient.
Hire whoever you like. I think PP has reasonable rates. However, considering that they botched the job, their secretary was unpleasant, and the whole deal cost me over a grand, I'll definitely be looking to other plumbers in the future. YMMV.
I used to go them all the time, but today I have to report how poorly they handled a situation. I'm not sure I'll go to them again. There are other reputable plumbing services in the area. I had ask them to fix a leak. There was a leak in a check valve between the water dispenser and another leak in a connection line between the water dispenser and water heater. Instead they took my water heater and didn't repair any leak under the sink. I just wanted the leak fixed. I talked to Victor and he agreed to come to fix the leak for free (that he was suppose to fix), but when I talked to Jennifer this morning, she wanted to charge me and she refused to negotiate and hung up on me. Wow. I thought they had better business practices. The least they could have done is replace the check valve and they won't do it, because I have to replace the whole water heater? I just wanted the leak fixed. I didn't need the water heater replaced because I was going to do that at a later date.
Erik G.I had called several companies about my disposal and many wanted to just come out and replace it without even giving me the option to look at it and potentially repair it. When I called Paris, they were booked for a few days but Michelle gave me some very helpful tips that allowed me to fix it myself. I do not need a plumber this go around thanks to her advice but next time I do I will definitely call Paris Plumbing. Thanks!
Shanelle F.I used Paris Plumbing to install a pitcher rinser in our cafe. Their technician was out fast scheduling was easy. He did a great job, quality work efficient, and the price was very affordable. I worked with Jennifer in the scheduling office and she was extremely friendly and wonderful to work with. I will definitely be using Paris Plumbing again on future projects.
