I really wish I could give this place a good review, but they never contacted us back when we really needed it. We called their after-hours line because we had an emergency breakdown with our water heater (flooded part of the basement), and no one EVER called us back. We ended up calling another company, and they fixed everything first thing the next morning, no problems (well, except for the ones with the water heater...).

Clearly, they have some problems with customer service. They should at the very least return phone calls to potential customers. Especially desperate ones!

I had the same experience as Ed K. on 1/28/2013: I left a voicemail at 11:00 AM on Wednesday and another at 10:30 AM on Thursday, and despite the promise in their recorded message that someone would call within one hour, I had not received a callback by 6 PM on Thursday. If they make this promise and then can't/don't deliver, what other promises can you not count on them for?

Lost confidence... I had an great initial experience with Chris, who did some work on a gas line for me. When I discovered a gas leak in his work, I would have expected it to be taken seriously. I did not receive a call back and after several attempts I was told they are scheduling two weeks out; no concern was expressed nor questions asked such as if we were in danger of death by firey explosion. Hopefully I'll be around to tell you the rest of this story!

(Please note that this review is not a review of their work, but a review of their unprofessionalism that deterred me from hiring them.) First, I tried to get a quote from them for fixing my water main. He quoted me a price and we confirmed that it was ""all-inclusive,"" that the price would not increase. So we took a day off of work to meet them and he then quoted me a price that was almost twice as much as the original. In addition, we tried to contact them approximately 6 times over a period of 3 days and they never returned our calls.

Wow! I read all these glowing reviews and thought Paragon Plumbing would be a good choice to install my kitchen sink.

Before work started I asked the plumber to place mats down to protect the wood floor and other working surfaces. He stated that he would. When I was passing through the family room I noticed that the plumber had just finished installing the sink drains on the stainless steel sink while it was upside down on the kitchen counter top. Since the counter is not one solid piece but foot-square grouted tiles, there are rough edges all along the grout lines. This scratched the sink top at every corner.

The plumber claimed no responsibility, but he did go to the store and exchange the sink. Then he refused to install it, and was even going to leave without reinstalling the original sink. His lack of concern for handling the sink was amazing to me. He claimed that he has ""installed hundreds of thousands of sinks this way and has never had a complaint"". Such a cavalier attitude was incredible.

When I asked him why he did not put down any protective mats for the floor or for the sink, he answered that he didn't think it was necessary. So, the customer/homeowner's wishes don't count here.

We just moved into our house two months ago and already had water in the basement...not fun! I found Paragon on Yelp and chose them because of the other reviews and I am so happy we went with them. I was able to get a same day appointment (which was really important as we were leaving town two days later). Chris arrived on time, and was able to fix our old/very clogged drain quickly. He even did some extra preventative work free of charge and gave us some good advice for preventing the problem in the future. The cost was very reasonable and we'll definitely be using them again for any other plumbing needs. Highly recommend them!!

We hired Paragon Plumbing to help us with a problematic toilet. They diagnosed the problem immediately, but tried to repair the existing toilet before recommending a more costly replacement. The repair didn't end up working, but I felt like they tried everything before we had to replace. The service was friendly and outstanding, the work was exceptional. The price was excellent! We will definitely use Paragon again, and recommend them to friends and family who need a good plumber!

For the renovation of our 1893 home we hired Paragon to do a complete overhaul of our entire plumbing system. They ran all new PVC and copper and moved a lot of plumbing to new locations. Pricing was reasonable, but most importantly they were effecient, punctual and they actually listened and cared about what I wanted in my house. This was not the case for a lot of contractors we hired throughout this project.The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is there were a couple of fairly small aesthetic issues. I would hire these guys again.

A few weekends ago, we bought a new toilet at a certain big box home improvement store in Boulder. We picked out the unit we wanted, grabbed the nearest employee, and asked if they could schedule someone to do the install. They gave us the estimated price, happily took our contact info, helped us load the unit into our cart, and said someone would contact us the next day or two.

We waited about 4-5 days for someone to call us from this orange logo'ed home improvement store, and no call. I simply couldn't believe they would ignore a guaranteed sale. If that's how ineffective they are in handling the scheduling, then I wasn't about to go out of my way to see how ineffective their work was too.

I quickly found PARAGON PLUMBING on Yelp and read the good reviews. Submitted a request via the web form on Paragon's website. I was pleased to receive a call from them the next day to schedule the work, and the price was considerably lower than the home improvement store to boot! The plumbers came as scheduled the day after. They were extremely professional and effective, and the install looks and works great.

Overall a great experience, I will not hesitate to use Paragon again. In fact, now I'm looking for things that I could use some help with around the house just so I can call them again.

Twice they have helped me out -- both times they have done what I needed for reasonable costs.

Once in an emergency, with water pouring everywhere.

Once with just a drain clean out. I didn't want to call ""root-rooter"" and get the run around with up-sells and all the extra franchise BS that would come with it.

Paragon seems to be straight forward and hard working people.
