This morning we woke up to our pipes backing up to our sinks! Washer flooding the garage, lawd all this without coffee . Found Palomar Plumbing on Yelp, saw the reviews annnnnnnd we gave them a call. Dave and Fernando we're here within 30 mins! Super cool guys fixed all the issues, we found out that the huge tree in front has root issues, yay. They also fixed the drains that had years of grease build up. Joy. Not us, we are renters. I totally recommend this company!

We had Palomar plumbing come out to change kitchen faucet that was leaking. Fernando was great to work with, he made sure it was actually the fixture and explained that we should replace the water valves along with the fixture. He gave a quote and a discount as a first time customer. He insisted on wearing boot covers while doing the job which my wife really appreciated. We really liked the attention to detail and his easy going style, he made us feel very comfortable, we highly recommend Palomar for all you plumbing needs!

I was just called and they want to make things right. They are sending a check for the mistake in communication that they took ownership for. Which is something that is so hard for a lot of companies and I truly appreciate it. Setting up to 3 stars until I get the refund, when I will then set it to 5.

I am annoyed, because the service person was nice, pleasant, and informative. He solved my issue quickly and taught me how to fix it in the future. An overall good service just from that perspective.

However, this service started with an appointment over the phone. It was Dec 23 and with Christmas coming up I wanted to schedule an appointment for the next week. The representative over the phone said he was actually busy most of next week, can he come tomorrow on Christmas eve. I said that was OK to be nice and we worked out the times.

What he didn't tell me was that my service was going to be double the cost on Christmas eve, since it was a holiday. The plumber who came out even forgot it was Christmas eve at first (so it didn't really matter to him it was a holiday). But rather then pay a typical service charge I had to pay double, and I was never told this was going to be the case over the phone. Not to mention I only switched to this day to help out the phone operator as he said they were busy any other times. He basically just scammed me for some extra money, and I am not happy with that.

I am never going to use this service again.

Called late in the day for a clogged sink and expected next day assistance, but instead got a prompt response that they would be out to my house SAME DAY. Knowledgeable customer service and on top of that, friendly service. I would happily recommend these guys to anyone. I will call them for all my future plumbing needs! Thanks Palomar!

My water heater started leaking from the top around the seam. I called Palomar after a Yelp search. Nathan explained why my heater failed which included the amount of minerals in San Marcos water and the effects of our water softener on the life of our water heater (shortens it dramatically - salt is corrosive). I called about 11:00 a.m. He was booked for the day and offered a referral to another local plumber. This was the hook that caught me. He made it clear he was concerned about my needs not his pocketbook.

I decided to go with Palomar and took the appointment for 8:00 a.m the next morning because I figured it would take the other plumber until late in the evening by the time he pickup a new heater. Plus we were going to LA Fitness that evening anyway so getting a hot shower was not a problem.

Palomar Plumbing employee Frenando arrived about 4 minutes before 8:00 a.m. which was the agreed upon time. He had the whole job done in 2.5 hours. He suggested and I accepted the suggestion that he install a commercial grade tube that inserts into the water heater to counteract the corrosive effect of the salt and the other minerals. This tube is called a magnesium anode and its role is sacrificial. It corrodes instead of the tank. All of pipe joints where clean and solid. In addition, he installed the two items now required by recent code changes - an expansion tank and a pipe extension at the gas line to collect possible corrosion.

Frenando was friendly, explained how to relight the heater and even fixed a leak in the softener pipe free of charge (Nathan please skip over this sentence.)

My total charge was $1845 including the $150 for the oversized and better anode. One year warranty on the all parts and labor and 6 year warranty on the tank were included.

Fernando cleaned up after himself. He made sure the air was out of our water pipes by running the faucet and he made damn sure we had hot water before he left.

I have already scheduled a second use of this company to hook up a whole house water filter. So I guess that speaks for itself so far as my recommendation regarding this company.

I had a great first time experience with these guys. The old water shut off valve broke when we were trying to turn it off at our new home, rendering us without any water! I called Nathan around 8 AM and not 2 hours later Fernando and Fernando showed up. I was amazed at their speed and efficiency (they even ran between the house and their truck whenever they needed a tool). They ended up replacing both water regulators on both shutoff valves ($125 for one and $225 for the other). They also replaced the old turning valves with ball valves. Fernando gave me some advice for my new home, and even helped me fix the handle in my shower so that the hot and cold water was correctly lined up, at no extra charge. Their service was very friendly, fast, and prompt, and seemed reasonably priced to me. What more could you ask for?

These guys were amazing! I called them in a complete pinch early in the morning needing to replace my kitchen faucet that day. Their day was completely booked, but because they're nice guys, they made time and squeezed me in. Fern came over and did an amazing job. He even went above and beyond to check all the connections and replace some old parts just to be thorough. My kitchen faucet looks and works amazingly now. And they truly saved the day for me. I plan to use them anytime I need any plumbing work in the future.

Wow!!! Thats all I can say. Put in a Request on Yelp for a quote and within 15 minutes got a Call Back from Nathan. Told him our problem and he spent the next 10 minutes talking with me about the Toto Toilet and what to do. Love this Kind of Service. He could have just made an appointment and charged us a visit, for the same Result. Instead, he reassured me that the toilet wouldn't leak but that unfortunately with this type of Toilet may have to replace in the future. It is Amazing to find such a Honest, Knowledgeable, and Helpful company without even meeting them in Person. Thanks Nathan.....
