Jane W.I'm sorry to say that Palisades Plumbing was a disappointment because I like to hire local businesses when I can. My plumber was efficient but unable to fix the stoppage in my kitchen drain . He recommended calling Sunset Plumbing in Santa Monica.
Sunset Plumbing was able to quickly get rid of the stoppage and said they very often get referrals from Palisades Plumbing when they are unable to do the job.
The obvious takeaway is: Call Sunset Plumbing first and avoid a $130 service charge and having to wait for two service calls!

Jack V.Correct: i berated your staff the next day AFTER you were a no show and failed to alert me or my mom to that.
Wrong/to the contrary: In fact I instructed your plumber to have your office call to take the credit card on the phone. I told him my preference was a check for my record keeping purposes, but when your plumber told me that wasn't possible, I said okay a cc was okay. The fact that asked about a check, then agreed to a credit card, doesn't permit a good vendor to cancel unilaterally AND not provide notice to the customer.
Mischaracterizing the dismal service, and lying about a conversation -- failing to ask for a credit card up front, failing to quote a price for the work, which was known either on site during the first 2 minute visit, or the next day...is all a complete failure on your company's part.
Others can decide whether they want to deal with you. Too bad you didn't just cop to the service failure, call and cancel the original appt, price the job and so on. It would have been easy to do the right thing at so many points in this pathetic transaction. You didn't.
