Use another plumbing company! The only reason I am giving two stars is because the plumbers sent were pleasant. First plumber sent didn't know how to remove shower handle. Said he had to bust the tile to get to the valve. To make a long story short, plumber twice never ordered the part. No one ever calls you back to get an update on when the part will arrive. I had to order my own parts from a plumbing supply company after waiting over a month for Pain in the Pipe to order. Will call another company to install the part.
This company was used by a local major home improvement store to install a water softener. Had no problem with installation...but 2 years later pipes started to get extremely corroded and were leaking. New, highly reputable plumber told us that sub-standard materials were used by this company when they installed. Water coming to house had been extremely contaminated because of this for a long time without our knowledge.
I have an angel and his name is Joe. He is the owner. All I can say is this man made me cry today. They got here this morning as promised right on time. They immediately saw the problem even before they rang my doorbell. Anyway, after no less than 3 1/2 hours of digging, they finally found the problem about 3-4 feet down. I might add that the digging was done by hand with shovels due to it being so close to my foundation. Let me start by saying that we are in the process of fixing items from a home inspection. There wasn't many items, however, all of the items could have been very expensive. At the same time my dishwasher went out, my dryer went out, the air conditioner decided it didn't want to cool along with many many other minor money draining things. So a plumbing issue was the last thing I needed to add to my hemorrhaging money issues going on. At about 1:00, my angel rings the doorbell telling me they were done. I was expecting, due to the time, and labor that was involved, also due to my past experiences with plumbers, a bill in the area of $2000. Imagine then being handed a bill for about 1/4 of that!! I don't understand how this business does not have 5 stars across the board. I will NEVER use another plumbing service again after the awesome customer service and a business owner who could have gouged me, but actually has a conscious and a heart. Its like he said, ""I need to be able to look at myself in the mirror everyday"". Not many business owners left like this in Vegas anymore. Thank you Joe. You have no idea what you have done for my family today.
Kevin D.Our water heater gave up the ghost last night. We contracted with Lowe's to get a new heater installed today. Pain in the Pipe showed up on time (a few minutes early, actually) and were highly professional. Juan checked to make sure that old heater was not still under warranty and explained what they would do and how long it would take. He showed us which parts we could reuse so that we could return unneeded parts to Lowe's for a refund. Based on this experience, we would definitely consider Pain in the Pipe for future plumbing work.
Ms. C.Joe and Marco installed a water heater. Not only did they call to arrange for an earlier appointment window, but they also completed the installation quickly and efficiently. They were even able to trouble shoot and discover an electrical problem caused by the previous plumbing company. They also provided a temporary fix and contacted the retailer to inform that installer sent previously created an electrical hazard and that the retailer needed to send an electrician.
After days of no hot water and another company's incompetence, the guys from Pain in the Pipe Plumbing came through and saved the day.
Unprofessional Lowes & Pain the the Pipe Plumbing (PPP) - appropriate name. I recently decided to get a quote to install a water softener. Lowes charged me $35. Later I an appointment was set up between 12 to 2PM Thursday with PPP). On Thursday I did not hear from PPP so I called Lowes. Lowes quickly gave me PPP phone number to check on their schedule. I called PPP and they informed me that the person to provide the quote would be at my house between 12:30 and 1PM and they would call if any delays would come up. 1:40pm rolled around and still no one from PPP and no call. I called PPP a second time and then they told be that the technician was at another site and would be at my house within 30 min which is past the 2PM deadline. I told her that someone was supposed to be at my house no later than 1PM per their representative. She asked me ""who did I talk to as it wasn't me"" REALLY! So, I cancelled the order. If Lowes & PPP are this unprofessional and unreliable would you trust them to install your water softener???
This was the contractor that was provided through Lowe's, as I purchased a toilet, kitchen faucet, P-valves and the hoses that supply water through the p-valves to the faucet and toilet.
DON""T USE THIS CONTRACTOR! THEY ARE THIEVES!!!!
They called to say they were on their way. I said call me when you get here. They didn't call. 1 hour and 45 minutes later I called them, as I had not heard from them. Apparently our tenant was home and they started the job without consulting us. They took our valves and hoses and had them in their van. They tried to steal our materials and not replace them. We were charged for their labor to replace them and had to have a firm conversation with them to get the work done.
UNPROFESSIONAL! DISHONEST! THIEVES! DON'T USE THEM! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!!
James B.Why isn't zero a choice! Purchased a water heater from Lowes and was told I'd have same day even early delivery, and installation. This outfit wanted 24-48 hours just to contact me to make an appointment for installation!! I had purchased the unit and installation from Lowes and was assured all the ""pieces"" were included. After hounding Lowes they told me they would be there between 4 and 6pm. Well they showed up barely at 6 and then told me there would be several up charges to bring my install up to code. This would be my fourth water heater in my current dwelling, all have been inspected by the city etc. , they told me Lowes code was different from the City's.... lol. They were dishonest, rude and I basically got the impression that they didn't want to be working after 6pm. Shame on Lowes for having this subpar contractor. It reflects poorly on them as well!
Michelle B.Sadly this outfit was the subcontractor for a Lowe's same day water heater replacement. Scheduled arrival time at Lowe's was 6 pm. They called at 10 mins to six, and offered to do it 300$ above the Lowe's quoted price. If you have a Lowe's installed water heater, ask NOT to have Pain in the Pipe Plumbing as your subcontractor.
Peter V.Nope Jami, everyone else was correct! Their office never called me for a time after lowes called them at 1130am to get an Early afternoon appointment , lowes called right back and said expect a call. Never came. Called at 1215 and 1230, voicemail, never called me back. Finally I got a hold of her at 115pm, she says won't be there till 3 to 5pm. 5pm comes and installers haven't even picked up water heater from lowes yet. Jordan, lowes store manager, says they are in store picking up items at 515pm and they be at my house in 10 minutes. I live 1.6 miles away. Finally arrived at 6:30pm. Guy installs heater, has me sign papers and as he walks to his truck he says ""Lowes didn't sell you a drain pan, you won't pass your inspection"". REALLY!! AFTER you install the water heater?!!? So I call Lowes in the morning and they resend pain in the pipe at 330pm that day, guy knocks on door, I open it, he just points at garage door and walks back to truck. Open door, they remove heater, install pan and replace heater. Guy knocks on door, I open, he says ""It's done"" and walks away. No one at Pin in the Pipe cares about YOU the customer. And shame on LOWES for keeping this horrible contractor.
