Pacific Tankless responded promptly to our request for an estimate for a tankless water heater, offered to inspect our existing unit at no cost, promptly inspected our existing unit, gave us a reasonable estimate and efficiently obtained and installed a new unit. AJ was professional and a clear communicator. Pacific Tankless was recommended by the US service department of a tankless water heater manufacturer. The service was provided in San Diego, CA.

called the owner Al to make him aware that when they replaced my water heater that the valve should of been replaced as well. Had to call SDGE cause i smelled gas. they came and there was a severe gas leak. called the office never got a return call back after several calls. to get my money that i had to pay sdge to replace the valve that should of been replaced. I then was fed up and left a voice message that i was going to report this to my Home warranty that sent them. well after i left that message who calls back the owner Al telling lies that the valve it was not damaged when they came , but i didn't have a gas leak or smell gas until his horrible company came and did work at my home. then he even fixed his lips to say i will send you a gift card for him not calling back and paying me back the money i had to pay sdge. Well i did call and explained to my home insurance company and they will not be using them. this could of been tragic to my home and family with the cars in the garage.

This was an awful experience. The plumber installed the trim kit incorrectly and now water is leaking into the wall. Not only did he leave a mess after doing a hack job, the plumber said it is no big deal since we will be doing a remodel in the future anyway. Seriously? Water is going into the walls of my house amd he thinks it is no big deal? 1 star is generous.

BEWARE of this company. Very unprofessional and bad service.

Our water heater pilot kept going out. The manufacturer said it could be a gas pressure issue. The gas company came out, found nothing wrong with the gas pressure, and tagged the water heater as ""DANGER - Do Not Use"" due to a ""floating flame."" We called American Home Shield, and they sent out Christati Plumbing, who recognized there was something wrong with the water heater but could not identify the cause of the problem or fix it. American Home Shield then sent out Pacific Tankless. The problem was not a ""non urgent gas leak,"" as Pacific Tankless believes.

A bald man with a thick accent (maybe eastern European) from Pacific Tankless showed up at our door wearing sneakers, cargo pants, and a yellow polo T-shirt with the collar up. No uniform. No tools. No boot covers. He had a mask on, but it was not covering his nose. He did not introduce himself and his first (impolite) words to me were ""Inside or outside?"" I politely asked him if he had boot covers. Sarcastically, he replied ""Do you?""

We informed the man that the gas company had shut down the water heater as a danger. The man ignored the warning, ripped off the ""DANGER - Do Not Use"" tag, and turned on the water heater. The pilot lit, so he said there's nothing wrong with the water heater and left. The man would not listen to us when we mentioned the ""floating flame"" problem and the pilot won't stay lit.

AJ, owner of Pacific Tankless, claims the man is a ""very respected gentleman,"" ""ex pro athlete,"" and ""expert in his field."" A man who acts like that is not very respectable; having been an athlete has nothing to do with anything; and the man did not display any expertise. Also, conspicuously absent from AJ's list is ""licensed plumber.""

A good company will send professionals (in terms of knowledge, speech, and dress) and make sure customers are satisfied with the service. Pacific Tankless did neither.

Pacific Tankless is our worst experience with a plumbing company. We called other plumbers for quotes to repair or replace our water heater. Pacific Tankless was the only company that said there is nothing wrong with our water heater and ignored our concerns. The other companies listened to us and stayed around long enough to see the ""floating flame.""

Overall, our impression of Pacific Tankless is they do not care about fixing the problem but only care about defending their Yelp reviews, some of which do not appear genuine.

In addition to the above, we believe Yelp reviewers should keep in mind two things when considering Pacific Tankless:

First, according to the Contractors State License Board website, AJ has never paid workers compensation insurance because he certified he has no employees. (See attached photos). That raises a serious concern about whether AJ has been misclassifying his ""technicians"" as independent contractors to avoid paying payroll taxes and workers compensation premiums.

Second, in his initial response dated 2/11/2021 to my Yelp review dated 12/30/2020, AJ referenced our address. Obviously, that is a violation of privacy. The address has since been removed from AJ's post after it was reported to Yelp.

AJ installed my tankless system and so far, I'm extremely happy. He quoted me a fair price, was communicative, professional, and honest. The system is working great, takes up just a tiny little portion of my garage, and delivers nice hot water. AJ did a great job with the piping and venting. He also helped me to get a temporary tank set up while I dealt with an insurance claim. I would highly recommend his services.

We have had no hot water in our new home's kitchen and it has gone on for 7 months. We have been dealing on/off with our warranty company and also have had companies come, at our own expense--SIX different companies, plumbers, contractors-you name it (2 originally referred by warranty company) have tried to figure out what was going on with our tankless water heaters!! I was so fed up and wondering what else I could do when I was referred to AJ by someone high up at our warranty company. Today, I am writing this review because we finally have hot water in our kitchen and we have AJ to thank for that!! AJ has been a pleasure to work with. He is professional, his follow-up is amazing, he is ON TIME and most importantly, he is knowledgeable with all the top tankless water heaters. He figured out the problem, ordered the parts and came back today to fix them--all of this happening during a pandemic, mind you. I felt that I needed to post this review because we had so many issues with other companies and were told everything from ""one of the water heaters was not turned on!!????!!!"" to ""maybe they did the plumbing wrong when the house was built"". Trust me when I say, you need to have someone that REALLY knows what they are doing when it comes to working on your tankless water heaters. Do not waste your time looking for other companies out there to do it--we have already done the legwork for you and it's AJ at Pacific Tankless!

Hello AJ
since you told me today that nothing was wrong with the water softener you installed and refused to come an dx without us paying you additional monies---I contacted Hague water system-the tech came out today I paid a $157.50 for him to let me know the problem is that person who installed did not activate the softener.
Apparently your tech and also the person you sent when I first informedd you of the problem did not dx the system was not activated...
I would like to be reimbursed the amt I paid the Hague--if not we will pursue it in civil court

There was a water heater leak in my neighbours water heater and since it was the unit directly above mine, water had seeped into my ceiling and drywall. The entire ceiling in my closet and water heater closet was damaged and had to be removed. Since the water heater was in the way, that had to be taken out and replaced with a temporary electric water heater for us to use. AJ was very kind and prompt to come and finish the job in a timely and efficient manner. He was meticulous and careful enough while disconnecting the water heater such that there was not a single drop of water spilled on my carpet. The temporary water heater that he installed was also up and running in no time and he was in-n-out in less than an hour.

I would definitely recommend him for any water heater installation and repair.
