Pacific Plumbing was established in 1998 by David Mendez with the goal of offering superior plumbing and air conditioning repair services in Fresno. After working for several reputed plumbing services and seeing the problems customers have with their plumbers and air technicians, Pacific Plumbing Co. is dedicated to ensuring customers are comfortable and well-informed about the services we provide. We hire genuine plumbers and certified air conditioning technicians, steering clear of salespeople; our focus is on ensuring your complete satisfaction!

David Mendez started plumbing at 16 in Fresno, learning from a family friend after working in the custom autobody sector. He quickly found his calling in plumbing and enjoyed the work immensely. He began with service plumbing and eventually shifted to new construction plumbing for over ten years, David made the decision to start his own plumbing company, Mendez Plumbing. Following years of business growth, Spaulding Wathen, owner of Headliner Plumbing Co. and Mansionette Homes, offered to acquire Mendez Plumbing and brought David on to manage the whole operation, including new construction and repair services.

I was happy with their service. I had several plumbing issues in my new house and they took care of them in a day.

We had a backup today and called Pacific Plumbing. David came out and fast. He was courteous and professional and the price was fair. Fixed our problem in about an hour. I would definitely use Pacific Plumbing again.

We needed our bathroom fixtures replaced and they were focused on the problem and work, this was not an easy job our house is over 50 years old. David offered same day service and Eddie did a great job, we will keep them for all our plumbing needs and pass along their business

The people at Pacific Plumbing were honest and trust worthy. Nancy in the front office is wonderful and Daniel did a great job at our house. They both went above and beyond for us! I would definitely use them again!!

Just want to reiterate that Pacific Plumbing is owned by two of the rudest and unethical people in Clovis.
My parents used them for a couple of their homes and when they tore into my backyard without reason AND busted a PGE line without telling me, we stopped payment, reported them to CSLB and they were fined for lack of repair order, lack of estimate, and lack of workers comp insurance which puts not only their employers at risk but the homeowners as well.
When we tried to discuss the issue of overcharging with the Better Business Bureau, they cursed the president out and hung up on them. David, the owner, has tried to lie and state that they don't have an open case with CSLB and that they didn't have to pay big fines but it's public information so feel free to look them up on the CSLB website.
DO YOUR RESEARCH!
They are frauds and prey on people in need.
I will continue to post reviews as they aren't a highly reputable company and I would hate for them to treat others as they treated my 67 year-old mom.

I hired Pacific Plumbing to replace a shower wall and the basin. I was given a quote and told the job could be done in one day. They came out to measure the wall twice, however their measurements totally failed to take into account a window. The shower wall arrived however it was too tall and would have covered part of the window, which they did not consider. Then we were told that they would not be able to put in the shower wall afterall. They told us that we would have to tile the wall ourselves. As a consequence of their failing to measure correctly, we incurred an additional $1000 cost to do the tile. Furthermore, they had told us that we could use the same shower door, but due to their mistakes measuring, the original shower doors do not fit on the tiled wall. I now have to use a shower curtain which is not the desired result. They completely misrepresented what they were capable of doing and the amount it would cost. When I brought this to their attention the owner was completely rude and would not take responsibility for his mistakes. He stated that I should be happy because he considered the shower curtain an upgrade.

If you need plumbing services I would tell you to RUN FROM this company. We discovered a water heater leak and contacted our home warranty company who dispatched Pacific Plumbing. They came out and gave us an estimate of $2,130. Of this total, $1.220 was our responsibility to retrofit the new water heater and bring it to code, and a city inspection. On Friday the plumber turned off our water and removed the old unit. Then he left, leaving us 4 hours without water while we waited for the next plumber come and install the new unit. After they were done, the plumber told us they ""forgot"" to tell us about an overflow valve that needed to be installed, so they needed another $150 for that. We told them we would pay the written estimate portion and no more. They finished and left. We went inside and immediately noticed our hot water was now cold and the cold water was now hot. That meant hot water was going into our toilets, hoses, refrigerator, washer (when set on cold), and all other cold water connections. We immediately called and spoke to the owner, David Mendez. He was quite hostile. We told him it needed to be fixed right away. He said absolutely NOT. He said it was ""to code"" and we could not touch anything until the city inspector inspected it. We asked when that would be and he said the beginning of the next week. We asked how we were going to get cold water from the cold faucet and hot water from the hot faucet again. He said AFTER the inspector came out, we could hire him to come switch all the hoses under the sinks (9 of them). This would not have taken care of hot water in toilets, to the refrigerator or hoses. (I would NEVER hired him again) He was rude, hostile and threatening. We ended the conversation. We spent all weekend with our hot water heater running non-stop because hot water was going everywhere it wasn't suppose to. On Monday afternoon we called the city to see when the inspection would take place. He had not even ordered it (passive/aggressive behavior???). We ordered it and the inspector came out on Tuesday. THE INSPECTION FAILED MISERABLY! The city inspector said that Pacific Pluming made a lot of money off of us. We then called the home warranty company and explained what transpired and told them we refuse to allow David Mendez or any of his employees to return. We requested another company. They sent out City Plumbing. David from City Plumbing came out and immediately identified the problem. He had it fixed in 20 minutes. He told us that our recirculating pump was also installed incorrectly. I told him how much we paid and he said he could have done it for MUCH LESS. Pacific Plumbing is horribly incompetent, inconsiderate, rude and expensive. I would advise you RUN from using this company.

Warranty service for a replacement water heater. Contacted me within 2 hours of filing a service claim, set an appointment for the next morning. Confirmed the appointment with a text message. Arrived and diagnosed the problem in a timely manner. Setup the replacement for the following morning. Arrived on time again and got the entire job done in a few hours. Everything was clean and neat when they left. Very satisfied! I will use them again!

I did not receive a quote and was charged an outrageous $360 for a piece of plastic and 30 minutes of work on a toilet. I pulled the toilet myself and removed the damaged flange and cleaned the surrounding area. I contacted this company in the morning about getting help putting in a new flange and they agreed to come out later in the afternoon. I did not receive a quote on the phone and did not receive a quote from the plumber who came out to do the work. He made a quick measurement and left for over an hour to 'get the part' (which was a common three inch plastic closet flange). He popped it right in with some glue, reset the toilet, and was done with the whole job in less than 30 minutes. He wrote out the receipt for a total of $357! I asked why so much and was told the boss decided on the price, and that the part itself costs over $200.

Over the next week I repeatedly left messages requesting a partial refund. The boss finally contacted me and tried to tell me I received a quote over the phone. I told him I would never have agreed to the job if I knew it would cost that much. He then told me that job usually costs between $250 and $375. Everywhere else I looked online said that job shouldn't cost more than $150. I asked why I got charged near the top of their overpriced range, and especially why it would cost that much if I already did half of the job pulling the toilet myself. I received all of the typical, beat around the bush excuses and no resolution was met. It became apparent to me that this company only cares about getting as much money as they can from their customers, and not about customer service or the value of the service provided. I do not recommend using this company for anything.

I called for a disposal replacement and investigation of a noxious odor that appeared to be coming into our home from the sewer. The technician was curious and thorough. He determined that the disposal was jammed not broken (and fixed it) and located the correct source of the odor - a malfunctioning home alarm system. I could have easily been charged for much more expensive services (replacement of the disposal, cleaning the sewer line), but I was not. More importantly, Pacific Plumbing correctly identified the source of the odor - something that an HVAC tech and the local fire department did NOT do and that could have caused us very serious problems (toxic fumes, fire) indeed.
