Pacific Plumbing was established in 1998 by David Mendez with the goal of offering superior plumbing and air conditioning repair services in Fresno. Having worked at several so-called leading plumbing firms and observing the challenges customers encounter with plumbers and air techs, Pacific Plumbing Co. is committed to keeping customers informed and at ease regarding the work we perform. We hire genuine plumbers and certified air conditioning technicians, steering clear of salespeople; our focus is on ensuring your complete satisfaction!

David Mendez started plumbing at 16 in Fresno, learning from a family friend after working in the custom autobody sector. Within months, he realized his passion for plumbing and found joy in his new profession. He began with service plumbing and eventually shifted to new construction plumbing for over ten years, David decided to launch his own company, Mendez Plumbing. Following years of business growth, Spaulding Wathen, owner of Headliner Plumbing Co. and Mansionette Homes, offered to acquire Mendez Plumbing and brought David on to manage the whole operation, including new construction and repair services.

I am very disappointed with Pacific Plumbing. I used the company to replace a water heater at my house, through my home warranty company. Six months after the install, I realize that one of the pipes had been leaking and there is now rust on the top of my hot water heater. I called Pacific Plumbing to have them come out and take care of the issue. They stated that I have to go through my home warranty company, I called them and they said it was outside of my 45 day warranty. I called Pacific Plumbing thinking they would take enough pride in their work to fix the issue that they created, and they said they would not. If it hadn't gone through my home warranty company they indicated that they stand by their work for a year, but they only stand behind their work for 45 days when it goes through a home warranty company. I just believe that standing behind your work and good customer service should come first. Obviously, this leak was caused by the sub-par work they performed, and they should stand behind their workmanship.

Response to what David sent:

David, I did not tamper with my water heater. I noticed the leak before touching the shutoff valve. The supply line that is leaking is also the one leaving the water heater, not the one connected to the shutoff valve. yes, the water heater was inspected but the supply lines are also covered by pipe insulation, and it would be difficult to see the leak by the inspector.

Home warranty companies are far beyond perfect, but my complaint is with Pacific Plumbing, not the Home warranty Company. How much work would it be to send a plumber out and replace the supply line that has been leaking? Maybe an hour of time, and a $20 supply line? I really don't care that its been leaking, I am just disappointed in the lack of customer service. Lastly, to try to place blame back on me for noticing the leak prior to turning off the water to change my dishwasher is unprofessional and simply not true.

This is the worst experience!! I have been without hot water/water heater for about a week now! Every time I call and speak to Dave/David, I'm told ""maybe later today"" or ""tomorrow"" and still nothing. I spoke to him Friday morning and we scheduled for Monday morning between 8-10. So, it's a little after 9 and I decide to call (with some apprehension because last time I called, he was rude and basically said 'don't call us, we'll call you'). But I called anyway, to check the ETA. Only for him to tell me there is some ""bad news"" they didn't get the part... ok so why do I have to call to find this out? I took time off of work to be home between 8-10 for their arrival. If I hadn't called, then what? I just would've been sitting here like a dummy, waiting? I am beyond upset!!! He never once apologized for the inconvenience... not ONCE!! He's very smug and dismissive.

First the guy on the phone is always rude, the plumber tony fixed the issue but got the hot and cold pipes on the opposite side, we called back so many times, even texted and not even a single reply and even the lady on the phone said she would ask her manager if they could fix it, no reply there too.
All I was asking was if the issue could be fixed or not.

The team that came to my house (Jerry and Eddie), were excellent. They came in very professional wearing masks and they had no problem diagnosing the problem. Nice to see they were not trying to sell or misdiagnosed a problem. They fixed a minor problem and told me what needed to be looked at by a roofer. Very satisfied! And did it in a timely fashion.

These people are overcharging for work that they didn't even do right. Got a new quote of $1500 for the work they wanted to do in addition to what they said they fixed but didn't for $7800!!
Extremely rude and very unprofessional. Charged us $1075 and didn't even fix the problem then charged us another $75 to come back out because the ""new clean out valve"" didn't work. Didn't even want to give them 1 star!!!

Edited 1 hour later after owners response:

Ok. Start at the beginning. Called for a clean out. Was told hair in line But snake would only reach 18ft. Needed a new clean out installed to eliminate future issues. For $950. Also the charge for clean out 125$. Total $1025. Done and paid. House was only occupied 12 days before backup in sewer reoccurred. Called them and needed it taken care of the next morning. Reply was "" not in warranty"" and to calm down. She said "" I am not going to move our appointments just to accommodate you "". There would be a $75 charge. I was in no position to argue an tenants had no toilet usage. So agreed. Asked to talk to owner. Dave. Her response was he is busy and will not guarantee that he will call you this evening. He did not. I was present when his employees returned to re snake the line. Roots like spaghetti we're pulled. Camera showed them in 3 places. My question to them was this was snaked already? I said when the clean out was done did they re snake it ? Answer was a shrug ! Dave responded that the charge would be $7800. To re pipe the line. 2 days later he called me to sell the job to me I guess. I found it ironic he did not have the time to call me back when I was pissed ! He also said it could cost more than 7800$ if I waited longer. I have been self employed 46 years and understand a lot about business and know this is not the way you do it.

WOW...the quality and speed from the initial phone call to installation is remarkable. Dustin was our technician that arrived at the initial call and also installed the water heater. Dustin is everything you want...he was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. Dustin's work is impressive, he works with quick precision. When he was done with the installation it was cleaner than when he arrived. It's clear Pacific Plumbing and Dustin are a winning team! We will definitely use them for all our plumbing needs.

Very unprofessional , do not know how to do their work!i will never use them again! They came to my house not only tHey did not fix my problem but broke a pipe... never came back to fix it!
I did Not interfere with any work! Your unqualified employee after 4 hours could not fix a fossil and had to LIE and say he will come back the next day to finish the job. The next day was Saturday and he never showed up ... I called your office I found out you guys are closed on Saturday and Sunday , why do u have an ADD that says open 24/7???? I have to tear up all my bathroom cabinets to get to thE mold and I can't do that. If your a reputable company you shouLd send a professional to the do job ! After all it was your mistake!
