They are as good as you can find. Prompt response, polite and very professional. He was on time at the spot and fixed my clogged bathroom while explaining me what the problem was. Better yet, he charged us lesser than actually negotiated because the work took lesser time then anticipated I guess. This company is nearby so they have a customer for life. If there was a way to give this business, Pacific Drain and Rooter, and Nasir, 6 stars I would!!

Trying to have a new dishwasher installed in an older home turned into ongoing plumbing issues until we found Nasir with Pacific Drain. Nasir was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He quickly responded, evaluated the extent of what needed to be done and gave a fair quote. Not only is Nasir honest, but he does what he says. I scheduled a followup appointment to have the work done. The day before the appointment, Nasir called saying he might not be able to make it on the scheduled day, but 1 day later. Imagine this....your wife is having a baby and you are still trying to uphold your previous commitments!!!! Talk about responsibility to the customer!!!

Bottom line is if you want the work done timely, professionally and at a fair price, call this company. After my experience with Pacific Drain and Rooter, Nasir will be my first call for any future plumbing problems.

Nasir is the best plumber I have worked with across Berkeley, El Cerrito and now El Sobrante. He somehow manages to make a plan to come and help in emergency situations (as plumbing issues so often are) even when he is fully booked and it is not normal working hours. This is how I first got to know him and his Dad - on a Sunday before my son's 5th birthday party when every other plumber was unable to respond.

What is more, he does not charge extra for ""emergencies"" and his rates are always very reasonable.

Aside from emergencies, Nasir is experienced and knowledgeable, and able to understand and listen to my problems and concerns, and then suggest pragmatic and affordable solutions that actually solve my problem!

He is trustworthy and his integrity is apparent. I can not recommend this company, and Nasir, enough.

Christmas Day and the overflow pops open on the side of the house - awesome (not!) We managed to get through our celebration without the use of running water. The next day, we called a lot of places and felt super lucky to have Nasir come out. He was responsive, as accommodating as possible, nice (which counts!), and got us cleared out and back in the game within the hour. He could have charged us an arm and a leg but didn't. Just really appreciated his attitude and friendly manner while we were stressing out. We made it to the next family gathering right on time - amazing! Keeping his card and using him for any future plumbing needs.

One really can't go wrong with Nasir. He goes above and beyond to get a job done reasonably, on time, with great skill and with excellent communication throughout the process. In addition to the superior service he provides, he is also incredibly nice and trustworthy. Our latest job involved a bathroom remodel and required moving a toilet to a new location (not an easy task), moving pipes and fixing some existing leaking pipes. Nasir was incredibly flexible and willing to work around my constantly changing schedule while I was coordinating the work of different contractors coming in to do various jobs. He even came by on a weekend to get the last plumbing jobs completed in the end. Of the many contractors I worked with during the process of the remodel, Nasir was by far the one who was most affordable, responsible, and reliable. You would be hard pressed to find a better plumber out there. I can unreservedly recommend him.

I don't normally write reviews except this company's service was so extraordinary I have to comment. It begins with a minor toilet leak we discovered earlier in the week. I called the company on Friday. They were booked solid through Saturday but the gentleman (whose name I now know is Nasir) said he would drop by on Sunday around 10:00AM. SUNDAY?? What service!!! And he actually arrived early. The leak required only a minor fix and he ONLY asked for $20...totally unheard of in this business...and for a Sunday call to boot!

This story is less about the actual repair work and more about the company's integrity, honesty and reliability. Thank you PD&RS. We will know who to call the next time we have a plumbing issue.

Yikes started this review months ago and just saw I never posted...Back in the fall, noticed sludge coming up through the laundry tub drain on Saturday and Sunday around noon, we were back in business, thanks to Nasir. Our regular plumber doesn't do pipes and recommended Nasir. Clearly she'd recommended one of the best after looking at the reviews. I called him and within a few minutes he gave an opinion on what he thought the issue might be and committed to coming out the next day (Sunday). He was prompt, polite, expedient and of course absolutely spot on with diagnosis.
(Pipe had buildup over the years, and there's a slight flat spot leading into the laundry tub, which is where the backup from dishwasher, garbage disposal etc was going.) Asked him if we should just have it done as part of regular maintenance and appreciated when he said 'no', just call (and he didn't expect given we'd never had the issue before to hear from us for a long time in the future.
Would highly recommend. Hopefully don't need a plumber again...but if I do, will not hesitate to call Nasir.

This is my second review for Pacific Drain and Rooter Service.
My water heater was leaking and I call to make an appointment with Pacific Drain.
On the phone i was told I probably would need a new heater and we discussed the price.
I had to work that day, left the key for them.
When I got home my old water heater was there with a note to call. (I don't use a cell phone when i am at work.) I called expecting the worse -- you not only need a new water heater BUT new --bla bla bla.
To my surprise I was told I did not need a new water heater, but only a new valve, they would return with the new valve, drain my heater and put the valve in.
The total price including labor $100.
There more.
My water heater is on a tiny back room used for nothing but the heater and washer and dryer. For years for some reason I never have cleaned it.
When I returned home from work the day they put the new valve in, to my surprise they mopped the floor. It was like a got a new room in my house. The floor was sparkling!
The plumbers i used in the past never even cleaned their own mess, let alone mine.
It is so nice to have a plumber that you trust; I am from New York and in I think it it a little harder for us to trust people.

It is refreshing to call a company and for them to tell you that you can repair the item yourself. I'm glad that he has faith in me... We will see what I will be able to do with an allen wrench and a garbage disposal. He said that he would be available if I was not able to fix it. I will definitely be calling them back when the next plumbing problem arises!
