Kathy S.If you've ever worked with a service provider through a home warranty company, you know you get what you pay for. However, I've never had a warranty provided company take the service fee and then leave without doing anything. I mean, literally anything!
On Sept 6th, after having given the office via phone the specific information about a leaky water circulating pump on a water heater that was removed due to water going all over the drywall, the company came out. They were told the pump had been removed because of the leak and the warranty company did not contact them as an emergency, as they should have.
However, when they came their tech spent approx. 10 minutes ~ long enough to get the co-pay check (and call me VIA my cell phone for a back up CC#), and yet they did absolutely nothing, I mean NOTHING. He looked at the pump, which had been removed because it was leaking like crazy, determined they could not diagnose because it had been taken off because it was leaking like crazy, and like Elvis left the building.
He had my phone number - after all he had just called me for my credit card info. He did not bother to call me back to say ""Gosh, First American Home Warranty (which is now denying the claim because the leaky pump was not attached, which could have been rectified) said the pump needs to be attached... If they had done that (again he had my number and by the way my CC) I could have met him and gotten the pump hooked back up for the diagnosis.
But Nothing. Just left the building not to be heard from again for 2 weeks. Spoke with the gal in the office, she blames the home warranty company. Spoke to the home warranty company, they blame the home owner. Guess what, s**t rolls downhill, so guess who's getting blamed now as the agent?
I have had many home warranty claims over the last 20 years - as I should, I recommend home warranties for all my buyers and sellers, and the proceeds are plentiful every year which trickles down to the service providers. Yet, I've never had a plumber or any service provider just ditch me and duck out of the building without a comment, phone call or literally doing anything.
Questions Pacific Coast Plumbing: When did customer service DIE with your company? Why is it okay for your service person to leave without even doing ONE thing? Or calling me (the contact person who he had just spoken with to get my CC number) or talk to the home owner to clarify or rectify something? Just leave to go on to your next appointment to underperform again? Where is your pride in delivering customer satisfaction? Where is your pride?
Suggestion for the future of your business: #1 - THINK of the customer first; #2 - CARE about your customer first; #3 - TRY to remedy problems when brought to your attention; #4 - TRAIN your technicians to communicate with homeowners, we are not experts, we don't know the lingo. We trust you to be our eyes and ears, not to ditch out on your responsibilities and leave us in the lurch.
So disappointed in your service (lack thereof)..
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service!!! I filed a claim through my Home Warranty and Pacific Coast Plumbing was supposed to call to set up an appointment within 2 days....after 3 days I called them and set up an appointment...I had to take the day off work since they only would service my area between 9am-11am...plumber never showed up!! I called them and they said they would have to reschedule. I told them it needs to be either after 4pm or on the weekend because I am not taking another day off work. After arguing with me, they finally agreed to have a plumber come out the following day between 4:30 and 5:00pm....the plumber showed up at 2:30 without calling or any notice. My wife was just heading out the door to work and she told the plumber that he needed to be there between 4:30 and 5:00...he just said ""well maybe this should be rescheduled"". I called them back after my wife called me and told me what happened. The lady's first response was ""well couldn't she just wait for him to do his job""? Uhhhh...really?? she was on her way to work, why should she have to be late because he came early??? so the lady said that she would make sure he was there between 4:30 and 5:00...... SURPRISE SURPRISE he never showed up!!! he even said he would call me or my wife when he was on his way....never received that call!!!! When I called back to complain about it, the lady just hung up on me! NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have never had such a horrible experience with a company before!!!!
M B.Wow, terrible company. Never answer the phone. Do not show up to appointments. I really hope my home owners insurance fires them. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ken B.This has to be the most unprofessional company that I have had to deal with for decades. How they are able to stay in business is beyond me. From not showing up or calling to letting us know that they are not showing up. They are flakes!!!! First American Home Buyers Protection please get them off your list!!! So many bad reviews. Believe them.
I didn't just wake up one morning and say to myself, ""let me pick a plumbing company that I can ""trash"" with a review. This unprofessional company was chosen by the Insurance Company. I had no choice. I read all the negative reviews and didn't believe them. Now I'm a true believer. This company is just awful.
Efraim from Pacific Coast Plumbing just completed a repair of a leaking pipe in my home. He arrived on time, had the necessary parts, was professional and competent. The job got done quickly, and with the least possible inconvenience to my neighbors, since I live in a condo and two neighbors were affected by the water shutoff. I highly recommend Efraim and Pacific Coast Plumbing.
Tommy M.We were referred/ mandated to use this company through our home owners warranty. Everything seemed fine when they came out, guy walked us through what's wrong and how he needed to get approval from warranty company to fix.
Long story short it was denied by warranty company, as it was pre-existing damage from prior to us moving in. So, I wanted an estimate to get it fixed in writing so I can get approval. I called and asked, was told no problem that the lady who answered would send it over to my email that day. That day passes so I call, she tells me she needs to get with the plumber and get it all done and will send it out by Thursday. I didn't get it. I called again and spoke to same girl, she said she's sorry but she's waiting on plumber and will for sure send it by Monday. I told her please do as I really need it.
You guessed it, it never was sent. I called and got voicemail and asked for her to please send ASAP. Never got a call back. I called next day, got voicemail again, asked for her to please send it, never got a call back. Asked my wife to call them and she got their voicemail and never heard back.
Big mistake to treat people like this begging to do business with you as I felt we were required to. I am in contact with my realtor who sends tons of these clients to the home warranty company that you work for, I've told them about my experience and to never use your company again.
You make yourselves look terrible and as well the warranty company and the realtor for using the warranty company that thinks your worthy of this work.
Don't use this company unless you want this type
Of aggravation.
Terrible terrible terrible customer service.
I have never seen a worse company than this, 3 appointments with no show or call, they broke a pipe and it seems dont want to come and replace it, we are dealing with them just because the insurance company wants to make them fix what they broke, I DO HATE THEM MORE THAN TAXES!!!!
This is the worst plumbing company I have ever had to deal with. They came to fix a clog and ended up breaking the pipe, which they said they would come back to fix. It's now been 3 months and they still haven't fixed the pipe. We have called several times and were able to schedule 3 different appointments which they did not show up for. I would never use this company again!
Unbelievable. We were assigned to Pacific Coast Plumbing via our home warranty company. The first time Ephraim came out, he was very nice, but he was at the late end of the three hour window they gave me and I needed to leave for another appt. It took three weeks to reschedule, and when the day came, he was behind from another appointment and needed to reschedule again. He came the next day, and was again very nice. He said he needed to order a special part to take our faucet apart, took our payment, and went on his way. I have been waiting three weeks for them to call us back to reschedule with the part, and nothing. Today I called the home warranty company to ask what was going on and was told, oh Pacific Coast Plumbing told us you broke the faucet and because of that it is not covered under warranty. They argued with me that the plumbing company said it was normal wear and tear and as such was not covered. Hmmm, that is a very different story than we got when he left with our check and said he'd be back with the part. Scam? I think so.
This company sucks!!! They cannot keep appointments, notify their customers when they promise to, and the plumber did not have the proper equipment to complete the work. Because of my home warranty I was stuck with them and have dealing with a clogged drain for 17 days since the first visit and they still have not fixed it. The plumber could not even properly operate the snake. I will never allow them in my house again and First American Home Warranty is equally as bad for allowing this to continue even after I contacted them to report the issues on several occasions.
Do Not Use Them!!!
