Most of my clients are up north so I rarely get down to the San Rafael pace. When I finally got to see the new building I was blown away. The store was busy so a counter guy showed me the ezpick section. After getting the materials I needed, I went up to the counter to check out. One guy was typing my order while another counter guy helped separate and bag up my fittings. Really appreciate the service.

As a daily customer of Pace Supply, San Rafael branch for the past seven years, I completely disagree with the post from Dana C. The manager of the San Rafael branch is a gentleman and would never treat ANYONE, regardless of race, color, gender etc. with anything but respect. He, and his team, bend over backwards to help us and our customers with all aspects of sales, research and various issues that tend to arise from time to time.

Because I was so shocked by Dana C.'s post, I did a little digging and found that 6 out of 7 of her posts are 1 star, negative. So that said, you can clearly see this is just an angry person taking it out on people trying so hard just to keep their businesses going.

Mike Liner! What a pleasure to work with this gent. He is 'on it' and produces the product and information immediately. Pace is so lucky to have him. Because of Mike, I shop at Pace rather than other plumbing supply stores. Ask for Mike Liner when you place an order. He made a tiny mistake one time, (mistakes are rare with Mike) and said 'i'll discount this because i errored"" i didn't even have to ask. Always, always always Mike Liner is 'spot on'!!!. Other plumbers have said so too. That's how i found out about him. Sooooo sorry Yelp only lets me give Mike a 5-star rating when he deserves an entire galaxy.

I've been here twice and both times I was treated nicely. It's basically a mans environment and I had no idea what I needed. Both times they were kind enough to recommend the place I needed to go to get what I needed.

I needed an igniter for a commercial hot water heater... it was late in the day so I googled the part # and to my surprise it is only a $20 part and available at many places... so I decided to not pay the $35 overnight charge and just pick one up locally... I have no problem paying a premium to a local shop that has stock on hand. I found that Pace Supply was the place in San Rafael that had on in stock ""Great""... But then when the guys behind the counter all start looking at the screen and say ""WOW"" that thing is $132...??? and I'm giving you the largest discount we have!!! I don't have a choice can't let the bakery be without hot water any longer... so I buy it and on the way out I talk to the boss (guy in the big office) who just happened to answer the phone when I called to see if they had one. I showed him the bill for $132 and said that on-line it was $20... he did a little song and dance and said ""We don't set the price on items like that"".... So if you really have to have something they might be the ones that have it but be prepared to pay about 10x's the price you can buy it elsewhere...

Come On almost 10 times the going PRICE!!!!! Really...

I bought $10k in materials from Pace to fire sprinkle my house. I came back recently to buy $20 worth of fire sprinkler head guards. They did not have a non-flush mount style so I bought the flush mount hoping they would work. They ended up not working so I returned it a few days later. They decided it was ok to charge me a whopping 25% restocking fee. The lady working there told me I should be happy about this since other places charge 35%. I wasn't buying a toilet or some complicated or hard to resell item. These were metal cages that were obviously in perfect condition. I'll never do business with this place again which is too bad as I like to help the small businesses out. At least the big box stores like Home Depot won't steal 25% from you.

Pace supply is a top notch wholesale plumbing and hvac supply store. They have courteous, professional sales people and an excellent selection of quality material. I have always found their pricing to be honest, fair and competitive. I recommend this business.
