Jim at P.J.'s is fantastic. I hired him for a list of items: Replace kitchen sink, fix bathroom sink, replace utility / laundry sink, for all sinks install new faucets + shutoffs + re-route drains, re-route water softener hose to air-gapped drain instead of blasting into sink, and replace corroded, improperly-pitched drain pipes in walls. 1960 house, mostly original plumbing, except for DIY work by an obvious non-plumber.

Jim at P.J.'s wrote up a detailed estimate, and got all the work done on March 13, 2025, in budget. He picked out a kitchen sink based on my mom's general description (""Farmer style sink with high faucet"") and she was very happy with the final result. He found that the roof vent pipe was clogged with one portion corroded and leaking, which is why all drains were always slow. He rodded out a basement drain that was mostly blocked, too. Now all the drains run faster than ever.

During Jim's final review, he noticed a small leak from plumbing that he didn't touch at all (he showed me) -- it was dripping down some pipes to the crawl space, so it was actually happening since the last time some plumbing work was done. He came out early the next morning to work on this. It was not easy crawling up into a small wall cavity from a porthole near the basement ceiling to locate the leak. He opened up the wall behind the upstairs bathroom vanity and worked through that space to fix it, so there was nothing outwardly visible that we would have to refinish later. After a couple hours, Jim did another walkthrough with me, and his extra charge was reasonable. Everything looks professional and works great. We will continue to call P.J.'s first for any future work.

Called him in to do a hot water tank installation. He was prompt and courteous. Very reasonable compared to the 'big guys'. Would recommend him to anyone for the pipes and solder installations for plumbing work. Cleaned up when he was done and gave me tips on how to keep my plumbing projects running smooth.

He gets one star only because there is not a lower rating. This plumber talks real good until he gets your business and blotches the work. He did a shower stall and did not put any studs behind the shower stall wall so that it felt like you were sinking. I had a carpenter to tear down the outside adjoining wall to put some studs there. This would have been a lot easier and less expensive had he did the job correctly. He would not come back out and quit answering the phone. He is a troglodyte, rude, and uncouth. I accidentally called him because he put his name out on Menards' list of plumbers. When I heard his voice and discovered it was him. I told him I had used him before and did not want to use him again. He told me not to call him again and hung up on me. Then he sent me a text saying not to call him ""NO MORE"". It is amazing that he is in business.

Installed a water filter, a few months ago now its leaking and jim will not return phone calls, not a good business person, and should not be in business, steer clear of this company, I don't know how all these other people gave him high marks!

Horrible company. Do not EVER use. Didn't wear masks, had to be asked to. Left a huge mess and made sure to point out how he ruined my clean house. Part broke within a two months on a new tank. Crap.

Hired him to fix a gutter on 2 flat apartment and he tried fixing it with ducktape, when asked if he could fix it with something else he threw a fit and said ""well you can loose my number""

We called him for a new shower pan. We initially wanted a cement floor in our shower. He talked us out of that. We paid $400 dollar for a retainer for less then a hours worth of work. Then we paid $800 for a flimsy acrylic base for our shower. My husband noticed it was level but not shimmed properly and wobbly and call the owner. His reply was put some styrofoam underneath it!!! Absolutely disgusted that a owner could do such a horrible job. My husband just took the base out and it took him five minutes there was nothing to secure it to the floor. If I could I'd give him no stars I would.

I DO NOT recommend PJ'S Plumbing & Maintenance. I had a HORRIBLE experience with PJ'S Plumbing & Maintenance; Jim Kvasnicka. My recommendation is that you make NO oral agreements with this company. Make sure any business that you consider is licensed. I suggest that you request to see the plumbing and electrical license of PJ'S Plumbing & Maintenance before you allow them to perform any work.

This guy pretty well know s what he's doing with plumbing, but don't EVER let him tell you he knows how to lay flooring!! He layed very expensive hard wood flooring for my daughter a month ago and it has all buckeled! My daughter and I both have tried to get ahold of him, but have been unsuccessful. He has blocked us from calling him or texting him to try to get this resolved. He has a very bad attitude, temper, and definitely doesn't stand behind his work. Beware of this very unstable man! She paid good money to have it done, and he didn't even do all that he had promised. Never again will he be called for work from us!!

I've used PJ's two more times since my last review and they're spot on for quality and efficiency and they're always friendly and willing to speak in layman's terms. I appreciate that!
