Peter may have solved my plumbing issue over the phone! He called me within an hour of my leaving a message on his phone. I'd been noticing septic odors from our toilet for some time, and thought that we might need the toilet vent attended to. Peter asked me to ""paint a picture"" of our master bathroom so that he could visualize our various plumbing fixtures. When I mentioned the tub, he asked me how often we used it. When I replied, ""not frequently,"" he suggested that the j-trap might be dry and letting septic odors through (albeit in the toilet area, not around the tub). His follow-up detailed explanation matched what I'd been researching (and hadn't tried because I'd forgotten about the tub drain!), so I ran water for about a minute at Peter's direction. I told Peter that I'd observe the bathroom odors over the weekend and get back to him if they were still present. It's been a day and the situation's definitely better. Peter COULD have come to my house, charged for a service call, run the water and told me to wait and see...but instead, he called and helped me attempt to fix the problem myself. Wow. Now I want to have another plumbing issue so that I can meet him in person. I am more than impressed at his customer service.

Peter just finished up some work for us. He installed a sink and hooked up the propane to our outdoor BBQ. What a nice guy. He was very friendly and not one complaint about working in 100+ degree weather. We called him back out because the sink was leaking and he found that it was from the original hookup (not his work). He fixed it right up for us. Can't wait to use it!

Even plumbers with Peter's experience run into crazy issues. I had one of those issues with my bath remodel. Peter checked it out, tried a few things, and posted on a plumbers' forum. He got back to me in a few days with the solution I could fix. No charge for his services. Wow.
