""Responsive, knowledgeable and fairly priced.""
We have used them for just ""the things that go wrong"" and they have been ""responsive, knowledgeable and fairly priced.""
I am sure they are good at additions and remodels, too...but for MOST of us, we need a plumber who can respond to our day to day problems...someone who will be ""responsive, knowledgeable and fairly priced.""
Pedro Femenia fills the bill.

Showed up on time to dig up a broken sewer line. The line was as old as the house, about 70 years, and there was some chance the entire line would need to be replaced. The plumber dug out the problem area, was able to cut out only 3' and replace with new pipe, all in couple of hours; all this with some rain and drizzle. Left a clean site and all working perfectly. We've used this plumber for over 40 years, never been disappointed.

I will tell you right now, DO NOT CALL FEMINIA!

I was extremely displeased with the lack of complete service Feminia provided. He came when my mother was home to repair the furnace so I was unable to fully question him when he was here. He unstuck a fan blade and called it done. The heater continued to run for less than a week when I came home on Friday evening to find the problem had recurred. I checked the fan in question which was not moving but was not stuck on the cage as he had said. The furnace would not ignite.

Upon calling Feminia I was told that this problem had nothing to do with the previous and there would be no refund for the very high fee charged earlier in the week. Furthermore, no one would be available until after the weekend so my mother and I were left for another weekend with no heat.

Monday comes and our same tech comes to look at the problem. I requested that he fix his previous repair at no cost. He did nothing but continue to state that he had fixed the fan and that this problem was different. An arguement ensued until finally we sent him away with no resolution.

After calling another service who changed their schedule to accommodate me, we have a solution and a part will be installed tomorrow. Today's visit is included in the entire cost. I would post them here, but I didn't not want to be taken down.

Feminia may be ok, albeit costly, at plumbing but they should not claim to provide good service nor ability with heating. They will receive no more of our business.

We have three basic TOTO toilets that all had occasional problems with running unless you jiggled the handle. They came and replaced the inner parts, that is all. They wanted to charge us $145/hour not only for the work but to go buy the parts. My husband called and had to speak with the owner to get that fee reduced. Overall price to replace innards of three toilets $642. They had told us on the phone that we could pay by credit card and then at the time of paying the bill informed us that it would cost an extra 3% if we paid by credit card. At $145/hour really?? When my husband requested a receipt, they required it be emailed or else we had to make a copy. The technician was nice, but the company prices and policies are unacceptable. Never again.

They rock!! Did a addition with kitchen, 2 baths and wet bar, air conditioning. Steam shower with loads of shower heads and jet sprays, Jacuzzi tub, sauna. They had to trench and bring gas to the addition. They were efficient, on time and on budget. My contractor and I were VERY satisfied! I will certainly use them again.

2 stars is being generous. I gave 1 star because --after calling six other companies who were completely booked-- they were able to send someone to my house the same day.

The woman who answered the phone was friendly and said they could send someone between 1pm-4pm. I mentioned that I would be gone between 2:30-3:15 because I had to pickup the kids from school. She said that would not be a problem and she made a note of that for the plumber.

Fast forward to 2:50pm...I'm extremely late getting the kids from school because I fell down the stairs and injured my back and wrist at 2:30. I was in a lot of pain, crying, and carrying my sick 11 month old out to the car when I open the front door and the plumber was standing there. I reminded him of the note the woman said she'd pass along -- that I would be gone until 3:15p. He shrugged like he didnt know what I was talking about. Said he would have to come back the next day. We're a family of 6 and the toilet in our primary bathroom was not working; I couldn't wait until the next day.

I tried calling a neighbor and a family member to come over and stay with the plumber so I could leave to get the kids from school. No one was answering and the plumber, Eric, said he could do the job really fast, like in 5 minutes. I let him in the house as I kept trying to call someone who could come over. He finished before I got ahold of anyone. My car was already running and he locked the front door behind him as I wrote him a check outside. I was sobbing from the pain of my injury, the stress of an awful day, and the panic of being extremely late to get the kids. I assumed the toilet was fixed because he said he was done.

After returning home I saw that the plumber removed the object my toddler had flushed down the toilet, but the toilet was still not working.

I called Femenia & Sons to see if they could have Eric come back to fix/finish the job. I thought maybe they stood behind their work. That maybe, since the toilet wasn't working within 30 minutes of the plumber leaving, that they would be willing to come back and fix it properly.

I was wrong.

Instead, they said I would have to pay $130 for someone to come back. Um...no thanks.

We got the toilet fixed on our own, for free. The money I paid them was a complete waste. They don't seem to care about customer satisfaction or the quality of their work. I will not do business with them again.

I used this company to have the waste pipe and water shutoff valves for a sink moved about 8"" over to the adjoining wall to accommodate a new vanity. I received an estimate after the plumber came and looked at the job. I thought it was expensive to begin with, but I was in a rush (do to visitors coming to stay) and didn't have time to get another quote. When I asked about getting the permit, I was treated like a moron by the office clerk and told I didn't need one. When I told him it was required for work behind the walls(according to the inspectors office), he said it would take are of it if I faxed him the paperwork. I filled out all the paperwork (only needed the signature that the company was licensed) and immediately faxed it over that morning. Well, after two wasted trips to the inpectors office (believing the paperwork would actually be there ready to go), itook another 3 days and a call to the owner to get this accomplished. The owner was quite dismissive when I talked to him and seemed to have no clue what I was talking about.

The only work added after the initial quote was replacing a toilet shutoff valve and adding plumbing for a second sink for the new vanity. (This new plumbing that I supplied only required tubing that connected to the main line, and not seperate plumbing from the wall). After the job was complete, I was told the bill would be sent to me. At no time did anyone inform me the cost of this extra work which I assumed would add $100-200 at most to the bill. Well, apparently I was wrong since the bill was $900 more than the initial quote!

I sent an email explaining all if this back to the company since talking to them on the phone has proved futile, but as I expected, no one bothered to address it. This leads me to believe they could care less about the customer and are into price gouging. The only saving grace to this company was the plumber (Derek) who did the work. Derek was professional and clearly cared about doing a good job. He was always on time and cleaned up after each visit.

Unless Derek takes over the company. I would definitely Not recommend this company to anyone-call someone else!
