Completely unprofessional and bad business!

Enlisted Outdoor Drainage Solutions (ODS) to install a system to address the grading issue along my property line. Residence is in Chesapeake; Greenbrier Area.

After a walk-through, Tony provided a quote for ~$2,500 or $2,300 as a cash discount. I opted for the cash discount since ODS was unable to take CC payment.

Upon completion of the work, I met with Tristian (Employee) for a walk-through and notice that Tony did not install drainage piping along the entire length of the fence as discussed. I called Tony and everything went south. Tony attempted to convince me that I (customer) did not need what I initially ask and was quoted for in the beginning. Tony began to accuse me of screwing him over. I explained that I was willing to pay half and the remaining balance following the completion the next day. Tony continued to lobby for more money to pay his team - I agreed to pay ~$2K and remaining balance the next day upon completion but only with a paid invoice noting the terms of completion. Tony sent via email and I paid Tristian in cash. Tristian left, I sent Tony a text and video as proof of payment.

Here where it gets nasty. I called him to confirm receipt of the text. Tony cussed me out, threaten to sue, called me a completely inappropriate word, hung up and blocked me. Then, he text me to reiterate it. Text msg attached.

Take away here - be careful of doing business with guy in particular! Over to you to determine the validity here. But this review is completely warranted as well as court proceeding that will follow.

Tony recommended a sump pump and pipe system to take roof water from downspouts. Installed, cleaned up and it works. You would not believe the quantity of rainwater that roof sheds. It no longer pools water in the lawn and works as promised. Good job!

Tony put in a drainage system in my yard in February of this year. There were several places that were still pooling water after the installation, and I took him for his word that he would come out and fix them at no extra charge; like he said before I paid him in full. It's now June, and he still has not shown back up or contacted me, and I'm tired of being the one who has to keep contacting him once a month to see when he will come back out. So here is my review. I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt that he has just been too busy, but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and work late and take care of your customers who have already paid you.

Update: owner offered $1,000 to remove the review but when we attempted to discuss the remedy for the pipes sticking out of the ground (needing to get a different company 's estimate and possibly having to contact an attorney because this company isn't honoring their warranty) the owner sent awful messages with personal attacks. We have been having drainage issues in our yard for a very long time. There was an extremely blocked channel drain in the backyard and the front was like a swamp after in rained. I called Outdoor Drainage Solutions, and Tony promptly returned my call, came by for an estimate. He was professional and courteous, explaining what our problem was and how it could be addressed. His team came within a week and were fast and professional in their work. Upon completion, he guaranteed a warranty on his work. We are completely satisfied and would highly recommend them for your drainage needs.

Tony and his team were fantastic! We have dealt with constant flooding in our backyard forever. We tried to deal with the issue ourselves but it was so bad that we had to get a professional involved. Im so glad we found Outdoor Drainage Solutions. Tony communicated throughout the entire process and laid out of all the costs for everything on his quote. They had the job done within a week of me calling for a quote. The weather was not cooperative and snowed at the end of day one on a Friday. After everything thawed out, he had his entire team out here on a Sunday to get it done. He performed a hose test to show us how the drains worked and everything turned out great. Very knowledgeable and and easy to communicate with and answers all questions. He also offers a lifetime warranty on all of his systems which is awesome!

We have one of those backyards that seems to become a swamp when ever we have substantial rain. Because of the seemingly unending rain we had this winter our backyard was unusable. Nate at Nail Designs recommended Rain in the Drain to my wife and I. We called Tony Rhodes the owner and he was quick to respond. He came out quickly and looked at our yard. He got an estimate to us within a day. We approved it and he was able to begin work within just a few days.

Tony and his crew did excellent work. The entire crew was professional and polite.

Tony is a good communicator. He had to change our follow up appointment, but he called serveral days in advance and checked to be sure it was okay. We did have some heavy rainfall before our follow-up appointment and the yard drained great. During the follow-up Tony made a few adjustments and said he'd come back if more were needed. So far that hasn't been necessary.

Since doing our work Tony has also done work for our son in his yard. I was over yesterday and he is pleased with the difference it's making.

My wife and I highly recommend Rain in the Drain and will continue to recommend them to our friends.
