Otto Frey has been taking care of the plumbing and heating of our house for the past 29 years. They took care of it prior to our ownership dating back to the 1950's. If anything goes wrong, which is often the case with an old house, they are there within a few hours and fix it. Their rates are reasonable and their service is second to none.

I'm actually posting a reply to Julia K. who is giving a poor review. I am giving 4 stars as, based on Julia' comments, Frey Plumbing did the right thing in not giving an estimate over the phone. I too am in the service industry - flooring. Numerous times customers ask for estimates. Estimate are based on many factors. People call our company asking for a sand/refinish floors. There are factors: square footage, condition of floors (any repairs?), a lot of furniture, location, etc. It's impossible for a contractor to give a verbal estimate on the phone without assessing the situation. I say Mr. Frey did the right thing. So, as I need a plumber, I will call Mr. Frey, who was recommended to me by our co-op's super Glenn, and set up an estimate so he can do his due diligence in ascertaining my plumbing needs. Thank you.

Refused to give a price over the phone; told me will come for an estimate and then overcharged me without ever letting me know how much it would be. Were at the house for an hour, but billed 1.5. Also did not really know how to do the job. Most of the time was spent figuring out the equipment. Basically, if they had known how to do it, it would have taken 30 min tops. I felt really taken advantage off. Will not use again.

Joe and Hank are awesome! They respond immediately to your problem and get the job done right. They are talented, knowledgable, willing to help, and the nicest guys to boot! It's a win - win situation.
