Had them out for estimate on water softener replacement estimate and also interested in a RO system for our kitchen. Technician was on time and thorough in checking our set up and existing dead softener.

Was asked if I wanted a water analysis done, which was last done by the county 13 years ago when we moved in, and my understanding was the report would be comprehensive and arrive via email in a few days. The $260 price for the report seemed steep but it was explained that a good chunk of that would be applied toward the softener / RO system purchase.

Estimate arrive two days later, via email as promised, and was in the middle of the three estimates we had received. Included same three items of water analysis as we had received from the other two companies for free. Thinking a more in depth analysis would arrive, contacted Ottagan via email asking when it would arrive - they promptly replied the report was included with the estimate. We answered the 'analysis' wasn't what we were expecting and that two competitors had provided the same report at NO CHARGE and during the estimate visit.

No reply.

After a few days we let them know we were going to select another company solely because of the analysis fee. Again, no reply.

While we got clipped for a $260 'estimate' they got stung for a $3,000 job.

Won't be on our list to call in the future.

A plumber from Ottagan Plumbing was en route to my house to give me a plumbing estimate. He called an hour and a half before and asked if I would be home, and I said yes. When he was 5 minutes away, he called three times within 5 minutes and then came to the house, banging on the door as if it was an emergency. Joe was rude and said he called me thrice, and I said yes within 5 minutes. I said to give a person a chance to call back because I was on another call. After that, he started swearing at me and F***ing me and left. How can an vulgar person like him represent a company and go without punishment? He is nasty and makes a scene that is not necessary. He could have been more patient, but for him, that is his true color.

A 5 star organization for their responsiveness but that is where it stops. There administrators do a good job capturing the details of the plumbing problem and relating the problem to their plumber. Be prepared for crazy exorbitant job estimates. They say that they bid by job and not by actual time to fix. I believe in being charged reasonably for complexity . In my case, another licensed plumber completed the repair in less than 90 minutes. I am unclear how they could improve upon the fix to justify their proposed cost to repair. So my suggestion is to get another estimate before committing if you have the time. You'll be happy if you do. I wish the company well . I prefer to use local independent contractors but in this case they were too expensive for my budget. Fortunately you have choices!

I had them out for what I thought was a simple leak into my home. They said it was fixed. Leak shows up again! Was charged a second time for a call on top of the first repair that wasn't at all a repair. Checked with another plumbing company to determine the scope of work and discovered I was likely charged double what would have been normal. Shameful.

My elderly parents were having issues with their Master Bath toilet which was extremely significant for them due to my Mom's dementia and mobility issues! My Dad called several plumbers without success before reaching out to Ottagan. SO grateful to them for their friendly, QUICK response! We were able to get a same day appt which was invaluable to us!!

Nick & Tyler were polite, listened well to my Dad's concerns and offered two solutions - one more 'thorough' but the other more cost effective. They allowed my Dad the time to make a decision- no high pressure sales tactics to convince him to go with the more expensive option etc!

They were able to quickly make the needed repairs and were very friendly while working. Once they were done, they left everything in great shape - the area they had been working was spotless- you couldn't even tell they had been here.

We'll definitely use them again if needed!! I'd highly recommend Ottagan Plumbing!!

Rob is awesome! He knows what he is doing and does quality work. I have an older home with a laundry room and bathroom in the basement. The water from the washing machine, sinks, and shower all drained into an open hole in the floor. (pretty disgusting actually) I wanted to properly finish the plumbing so I could remodel those rooms. After a consultation with Rob, he told me the things I could do on my own to prep the space to save money. It has been a real collaboration. He has been very flexible and professional in working with me on this project. Besides being a master plumber, he is a really nice guy. I'd highly recommend him!
