Please choose another business. I used them for many years because of their quality work even though they were more expensive than most. I recently asked them to do a simple install on a unit that I already purchased and they charged me an ungodly amount of money. I was sure it was an honest mistake. When I contacted them they were dismissive and not bothered with common sense. Please do your research and get quotes before you let someone take advantage of your good faith.

I called ostrom to set up an appointment. The lady operator asked what kind of problem that I have. I told her my air condition unit is leak and it's not cold. She had set up an appointment. Later I called back and asked her if there is a charge or a free estimate (she should tell me before hand, right?). She answerd there is a $89 charges if I'm not agree on the estimated price.
On the appointment day a guy came to look at the air cond unit and ask what a problem and I told him the same thing I told the lady at the office. He told me that if I wanted to have it fixed he has to call the technician to find the leak and it's going to cost me $219 plus this and that and those and the total is around $2200. So to cut the story short I paid him the $89 for coming to tell me all the things that lady should have told me on the phone. Right? To me it's simply a scam. Find a company with a free estimate period.

Called to get a quote on a 30 minute job (220v so I didn't want to risk it) and was led to believe it was a VERY big job. Was quoted an insane amount but considering how much it was I was obviously in over my head. After 45 minutes they were done and I was dumbfounded. I was given an insanely overpriced list (20x the retail price) of things they used and was told goodbye. I called and was given a discount, but 700-800 dollars for 30-45 minutes worth of work is highway robbery! All that was done was a 10 foot 220 wire (NOT EVEN AN OUTLET) was run from my electrical box. All they did was swap out a breaker, screw the leads in and run the wire across the ceiling in my unfinished basement!!! This was a $75 job tops. I don't care about how they do special flat rate pricing or whatever, all I care about is the fact I was charger 10x the amount that is fair.

When I initially called ostrom out to fix my plumbing I wanted them to repair or replace two outside faucets they put some packing in the first one up front of the house and the rear one they said they could not fix said they would do some research on it whatever that means charge me like $300 and never came back. Will never call them again for anything.

Don't want to use Ostrom because I used them before and was a bad experience. Two techs came to fix a light switch, took them a long time, they whispered to each other a lot then the switch wouldn't work. They finally got it working and handed me a bill fir $248. In addition they tried to sell me a maintenance package with a monthly membership amount. No thanks, I wouldn't use them.

Excellent service. Highly recommend this company. Our air conditioning stopped working and the service man that came was obviously highly trained, quickly zeroed in on the problem and had it fixed in a very short time. So happy I found them.

Ostrom has the BEST employees and technicians -- all the way from Dustin (a/c tech and sales), Kendall, who handled scheduling and follow up, to the air conditioner installation crew of James, Ryan, Justin and Daniel. Everyone was very professional, on time, and a pleasure to work with. All were respectful and knowledgeable of their responsibilities and explained the procedures they were conducting and how to operate the different functions of the new thermostat. All these people reflect high standards as well as high quality performance and I'm glad Ostrom is on my speed dial! A huge thank you to you all!

After 11 pm.....NO HOT WATER.....my husband called Ostrom, a human anseered and kindly talked us through some trouble-shooting that saved us from an after hours fee. Next morning a scheduler, who had information from our urgent call, set an appointment for us, the technician arrived on time, confirmed the diagnosis or our problem, considered how best to repair, offeded me options, fixed it and...back to normal hot water. The technician sent actually checked to make sure that I understood my choice and was happy with the result. He was kind, a gentleman and a good technician. Thank you, Osterman. We will call you again.

Expensive/Overpriced!!!!!!

I was Quoted $500 for a Badger 5 disposal which costs $110 at Lowe's and only takes 30 minutes to install (see you-tube Badger Installation). $400 for 30 minutes of work! Really? Yes, really, and they refuse to give you an itemized quote so they can gouge you without any argument. Unethical. Do not use this company! Watch the you-tube video and install yourself. I did.
