I really appreciated this company when they sent someone to repair three non-functioning light sockets in my basement. Because the work was so quick, he only charged me for the $38 service call. And he did not try to sell me any kind of maintenance or service contract - thank heavens, because there is nothing that guarantees my never calling again faster than a ""sell job"" to buy something I neither want nor need.
The company was pleasant to deal with on the phone, and prompt about showing up. I would absolutely use them again.

Very disappointed with their plumbing service. Had a drain issue in the house and after 2 visits and $300 the problem was worse. Decided to cut my losses and call another plumber who fixed the problem at less than half the cost by doing exactly what Ostrom was hired to do!!

got a estimate for ac installation i was utterly shocked by the quote for having done ac installation for three years myself i am very aware of prices of units and cost of installation first quote 7100.00 for heil unit and air handler whole unit cost with everything plus thermostate is only 1950.00 thats a difference of 5150.00 that is so overpriced and i felt as if they were taking advantage of someone who may not know. the second estimate was 7800.00 for a lennox system again way over priced again felt uneasy well all said and done i had a trane system ac and airhandler done by another well known company for 4197.00 now that was a honest price plus it was a trane system which is top of the line also completed in one day old system out new in complete just be ware of some companys that may be trying to take advantage of seniors i would never have them do any work on my home just due to their ridiculious prices remember labour was 5150.00 for one day installation absurd.

Be careful! We called to have a simple repair to a toilet and the service call was $38 and the proposed repair was over $400.00 to,replace the toilet handle! Wouldn't have minded the charge for the service call, but the bid was outrageous! Needless to say, we fixed ourselves for a couple of dollars.

They were on time, polite, and knew what they were doing. Service guys went out of their way to explain our plumbing problem. We had a blocked sewer line and it needed to be snaked out. The cost of the job was $500. They came within 24 hours of my phone call. I can recommend this company!

I continue to be impressed with the level of professionalism with Ostrum, starting with the initial phone call from dispatch to let me know when they would arrive to the way George took time to explain the entire process (even gave me a little Electricity 101). They were very efficient during the visit.

I also appreciate the fact that their dispatch actually took the time to give me an accurate time frame when they would arrive. You could set a clock to their arrival time. This is invaluable to me.

I would highly recommend Ostrum to anyone who needs any electrical or plumbing services. I know they will have a customer for many years to come with my family.

My experience with Ostrom has been very satisfactory. George and Tyler completed their job that was quoted in an estimate in a courteous and professional manner. I am well pleased with the job they performed. They have a friendly staff and friendly service people.

Requested a quote to install a out door faucet. Connect to cold water pipe under kitchen sink. Less than 1 foot run of pipe. Rep began immediately pushing maintenance contract for monthly fee. Then quoted price of 568.00 with contract and 628.00 without contract for a job that would take about an hour and use less than 100.00 in parts. We sent him packing! Found another licensed plumber who did job in about an hour and charged 150.00.

Yesterday we called Ostrom to have a clogged drain snaked. They arrived promptly and informed us it would be $400. We questioned why the price was so high. They said they could do it for $340 if we signed an annual contract at $9.95 per month. We decided to pass on both offers and call someone else. We were made to pay $38 for the service call. Had they informed us of their charges we would have told them not to come. We then called Rooter-Out who arrived at 8:20 the next morning and had the clog cleared in less than an hour. Total charge: $180. I'm happy we waited until the next morning as we saved $220. Snaking a drain is not rocket science and Ostrom's charges are outrageous.
