I would NOT RECOMMEND Oscar's Rooter service. If you are looking for an honest and efficient plumber, I would suggest you look elsewhere. We recently had plumbing problems again in December 2017. During a 1 week span we had Oscar come out to service our toilet/mainline pipes 3 times, which did not solve the problem. We had Oscar hydrojet our restroom on Wednesday thinking that it would solve the problem. For those who don't know, a hydrojet is supposed to destroy all or most of the roots if there is any in the drain/pipes by shooting high pressurized water which cuts like razors.

Back in August 8, we also had the pipes hydro jetted, so after the second time within 4 months the pipes should have been clear of roots. When he came Wednesday he didn't have his camera, which was the same situation the first time he came back in August, so he was unable to locate the actual problem. Before he left he told us that he would come back with his camera the next day to do a free inspection since he did not have it both times. The next day, no phone calls about coming to do the inspection...

He came back on Friday to unclog the drain/pipes by snaking it this time since the toilet was once again clogged. As he was pulling in the snake he was reassuring us that it can't be roots and as he reeled in his snake there was a bunch of roots stuck on the end. He told us that he didn't have his camera with him because it got ""stolen"" the day before. It seemed like he had an excuse every time he didn't have the camera. Besides that, we hydrojetted the pipes twice already and there was still roots in there. He assured us that he has ordered a ""top of line"" customized camera and that once he gets it he will come do a free inspection.

On Saturday, the landlord reached out to Oscar and they discussed the situation. They agreed that we would wait until he gets his camera which would be the following Friday and he would take care of the toilet if it got clogged again.

Sunday morning comes and once again the toilet is clogged. So, I call Oscar and tell him the problem and he informed me that he made an agreement with the landlord to take care of clogged toilet/pipes since we were waiting for him to get his camera. He came around 5 p.m. and snaked the drain. As he was leaving he told me it was going to be a $100 charge for his service. I was hesitant because it sounded like he was going to take care of us with no charge until he got his camera. He told me the landlord has agreed to paid for any services he had to do while WE WAITED for the camera. After I paid Oscar, I called the landlord and to confirm the agreement and specifics of it. That was when we both found out Oscar had lied about certain aspect of the agreement that was never agreed upon.

The following day, before I called Oscar, I did my own research and called 4 different plumbers to ask about their hydro jetting services. They all informed me that they offer at least a 6 months warranty on their hydrojet since there isn't suppose to be any roots in the drain after you hydrojet it. I call Oscar afterwards and confront him about the lying of the agreement, the hydrojetting services, and that we didn't have to wait for his camera and we could go to any other plumber with a camera now to fix the problem. He tells me that the plumbers I called are lying about the warranty, but 4/5 plumbers, he was the only one who didn't have any warranty. Once I brought up that we could go to another plumber, he told us that he wouldn't charge us any more and he would take care of any problems for free since we were the one waiting.

All of a sudden on the same day of the phone call, he stopped by with a CAMERA. The camera that he brought was really poor quality since it was blurry the whole entire inspection, but he tried justifying it by saying it was under water the whole time. As he is going through the drain he stops at what he believes is an offset in the pipes and says this is the cause. The image was blurry, so it was hard to see if that was an actual offset. We have made an appointment with a different Plumber and will update what the actual problem is afterwards.

Great service. Came on a Sunday to unclog a toilet. Couldn't snake it so they took off the toilet and unclogged it. Patched everything back up good as new.

So I just moved to this house in Pico Rivera and I had an emergency plumbing problem and I needed this fixed ASAP. Oscar came so quick and was able to address the problem. Although the problem was bigger than I thought he was able to figure out what was causing the back up in the bathroom. He was able to give me options to my problem and was so honest. That in my book goes a long way. He definitely knows what he's doing. Reasonable prices too. Will definitely be calling him for future pluming probs.

Sent Oscar a text about my clogged bathroom sink. He was here first thing in the morning, gave me options to resolve it and got it done quickly. I thought I would be waiting around all morning, but it only took 45 minutes from arrival to finish. I so appreciate his honesty. Next time we need a plumber we will be calling Oscar!

Another ""Sunday Morning"" Mishap.
Woke up to shower backing up into toilet in one restroom....and toilet backing up into tub in the other.
Called my ""friend"" the plumber...but no response..called another plumber I've used in the past..again no response.
So I searched Yelp and luckily came across ""Osacar's"".... Answered on first try ..described the problem and had someone at my door within 2hrs.
He got right to work but encountered some unforseen issues. We discussed the problem and he continued above and beyond to try and solve the issue. Due to some old and not so straightforward piping...I agreed to the installment of a new clean out site. 10 minutes later ...SUCCESS! The clog cleared!

The work that was provided was quick, clean, and professional...
Oscars was honest and straightforward and even went above and beyond to get the job done right and in a timely manner.....on a SUNDAY!

Remodeling my restroom and I needed the plumbing to be moved for a pedestal sink. Called Oscar and he promptly responded. He was able to change the plumbing within a reasonable time. He was a polite and knowledgeable plumber. Would definitely use him again.

We woke up Sunday morning to a toilet flooding into the bathtub...(there went out plans for the day).

After calling a few other places and realizing they were either closed or charged weekend rates we found Oscar's Rooter Service on Yelp.

They quoted us $99 rate as advertised on Yelp and said they would have someone out within 2 hours.

Rene showed up within that time frame and quickly got to work. He fixed the problem and was on his way.

If we have a plumbing issue again, we will definitely call Oscar's!

I had a kitchen sink clogg. I called different places for rates, however minutes after calling, they returned my call and offered a deal. I agreed and they showed up within 30-40 minutes. Very informative and gave suggestions on cleaning and keeping the system clean. Took them about 25 minutes to clean out the faucet. Super fast and service was great!

This service was the best! Very professional. No monkeying around. I called him in the evening. He called me back later the same evening. Came over in the next morning. He fixed my water heater. Pilot wasn't working and another part had to be replaced. He even brought a piece he anticipated he might use which he did. This is my plumber for life. Trustworthy with Integrity!
