I called these people because my regular plumber was too backed up, and I've seen their trucks in the neighborhood for years. I've had plenty of other clowns to compare to, and these guys performed fantastic. They are a time and materials company, the only kind I'll hire. I already knew what was wrong, and they didn't put me through a bunch of ridiculous steps that won't fix anything that have been asked of me by other brands.

It's a local company although the founder has passed, they still behave like home town people. They sent a guy out here with lots of gray hair and plenty of skills to address the problem. They listened to me on where the problem was, went for it the first time, and as of now left me working as designed, and I'm delighted.

I was shocked to the core they are still radio dispatched, as the cell phone has taken the need for this, and two-way radios have ongoing costs just to have them. They charged me for a 1-hour trip charge, which was very fair and were out of here in under 1 hour.

Unless something goes wrong, and I'm not expecting that, I'd have to give them a five-star atta-boy, and oh yes I would call them again. Their techs were courteous, professional businesslike, and very skilled; exactly what I want to hire.

I sort of expected this, but history has taught me don't call national branded plumbers, or I've had a lot of trouble with them. The people that live here, and work here, and spend their paychecks here are the companies I prefer to use.

Last night I noticed my drains were draining slow. I checked the clean out and there was standing water in them. I called Deaton plumbing this morning and they were booked. They called back 20 minutes later and were able to come out in 30 minutes. James arrived on time. He went right to work and my drains were good to go. I have used Deaton plumbing for many years. Their plumbers are always professional and courteous. I highly recommend them and will use them again when needed. Not sure where the negative remarks are coming from as I have always had a positive experience. I am a bit of a perfectionist- and Deaton plumbing has always went beyond my expectations.

Oscar came out and looked at my water pressure valve that needed to be replaced.
Other companies barely took a look at the water line and requested to dig up my entire water line in the front yard. Oscar Deaton came up with a much cheaper solution that work perfectly to fix my water pressure problem and was code compliant to the city.
Plumbing is very expensive but Oscar is affordable and very honest.

Deaton has been our go-to plumbing choice for several years now. From the friendliness of the office staff until the invoice is delivered in our hands, we feel respected. Cannot express enough that when we see them any worry about repairs is taken away. They are always willing to accommodate our schedule, even calling us back if there is an earlier opening. The plumbers educate us which is extremely important. Family owned and now we feel part of the Deaton family too!

I called Deaton Plumbing to unplug a clogged drain from the washing machine. They sent a man named Chris who did not really try to fix the problem.
He ran the snake in from the outside ONLY. Did not snake down the washing machine drain. He claimed that the line could not be unclogged. Then he messed around with some heavy magnets on the kitchen floor and pronounced that we had a "bad joint" in the cast iron drain line. He first talked about tearing up the floor and foundation and then offered a "cleaner" solution. He wanted to move the water supply to the washing machine, dig up the back yard to create a new drain line, tie it in to the main sewer, and charge us $8,000. Yes. Eight thousand dollars. He did clarify that that would include permits need, and that Deaton would not be responsible for restoring the lawn to its current condition.

We are senior citizens. I cannot tell you how distressing this was to me. I was almost physically ill. I even considered (temporarily) that it might just be cheaper to give up my home and MOVE!

We called another plumbing company. The plumber from the second company (Belue) snaked our drain from the inside first, then the outside cleanout that had previously been done by Deaton. Gross junk came out. (Nothing like this had come out when Deaton's plumber ran his snake so perhaps he just didn't know HOW!) The problem was solved for less than $200 to the second plumber. It is the opinion of this very old lady that Deaton tried to take advantage of us due to our age. It is my opinion that this unscrupulous company would try to steal the stink out of sewage. I would not recommend them do do anything. I hope this review prevents someone else from being lied to and taken advantage of. I just wish I had back the $$ I gave to this crook!

I have used this co for 13 years today for the first time they tried to steal from me ,I needed a faucet replaced and they told me $280 I checked on line and found the price to be at most $150 then they said there mistake, the tile needed to be replaced and tile man tells me $180 Deaton said $250 again another mistake then he quoted me 2 hours of labor than he comes back and said will have to charge me anothe1/2 hour labor,I didn't pay.All together they wanted to charge me $795 but after arguing I paid $621.CROOKS beware people Shop around. before you call Deaton.I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN,lesson learned.

Called these guys out for a clogged toiler. They came out twice and both times they clog came back. We called Benjamin Franklin plumbing and they knocked out on the first visit. I think service must vary depending on who they hire as I have had good luck with them previously. The man worked my clog seemed a little clueless.

I have used Deaton Plumbing for 20+ years. They are a great family-owned business. Their prices are fair for the quality. I have used them for everything from small repairs to total house remodels. Only had to call them back twice in all that time and both times response was prompt and no hassle. All their guys are great but I especially recommend Bob and Jason.

Not very helpful at all. Not very courteous either. When he came acting as if I didn't know what I wanted and I don't have permission? Sir you are the plumber. That is YOUR job. Will NOT recommended them to my customers , associates or friends.
