Paul & his crew are absolutely AMAZING. I am so very grateful for them replacing old gas boiler for new wall hung w the endless hot water coming through that...no need for a water heater anymore. Truly fantastic service and follow-up. Absolutely the best company I have ever worked with in the 20+ yrs I've owned my home, and I have had many contractors over the yrs. Customer service is A+++ and I could not recommend them more. They 100% care about their customers, and are there immediately, and have helped me even when it was unnecessary due to my mistakes. Again, so very grateful for them!
I contracted Jerry's Plumbing and Heating to install a hot water heater and fix two dripping faucets. I was charged $709 to fix the two dripping faucets and install a third faucet. Can you believe it???? It took three service calls!
After the first visit, my plumbing was in worse shape than it was before they came. Neither the shower nor the bathroom sink worked. The incompetent plumber spent 90 minutes (at $150/hour) diddling with one bathroom faucet. After he said he might be able to fix the drip with another hour, I asked him to stop so I could buy a new fixture rather than spend another $150 on him MAYBE fixing it. Aren't plumbers supposed to suggest these things to the customers? He said I wouldn't be billed for all of that time. He was wrong. On top of it, he left for about half an hour during this time, presumably to find a part. I went from a dripping bathroom sink and shower to neither working at all. I was billed $409.55 for NOTHING. This should be illegal.
When I called Jerry's Plumbing to arrange another service call to fix what they didn't fix the first time, I asked them to send a different plumber. They didn't. On the second visit, he managed to fix the sink faucet (after I bought a new fixture for $100), and spent considerable time fixing the shower which still didn't work after he left. Completely unusable, and the dummy never checked to see if it was working before he left! He incorrectly installed the stopcock on the shower so I couldn't turn it on. Of course, I feel like a dummy that I never checked before he left. I was billed $300 for this service call even though the shower still wasn't working. These people have a lot of nerve!
On the second visit, they installed a hot water heater. The hot water heater's cost of $1950 included installation. They were here two hours. Somehow they also billed me an additional $300 for the above plus the installation of a third faucet. I think this is called double-billing?
I arranged a THIRD service call as my shower, which previously dripped, was no longer working at all, and they sent different plumbers who clearly knew what they were doing. They fixed the shower, finally. If I had had these plumbers from the start, the bill might have been half what it was with the Diddling Around Plumber who couldn't get the job done. I was not billed for the third service call given that they were correcting the mistakes of the first plumber (the wrongly installed stopcock). The plumber who came on that call suggested that maybe the other plumber had been allowed to work on his own too soon. I'll agree with that!!!! I'm paying for his apprenticeship.
$709 for two dripping faucets!!!!!! And I need to get another plumber here to double-check the water heater installation ($1950) as I don't trust that was done correctly.
I contacted Jerry's Plumbing for a routine winter water turn-off at my house. I was charged for two hours of labor - $300 plus the $36 cost of anti-freeze, even though the technicians were at my house for less than 45 minutes.
To add insult to injury, one of the technicians urinated by my front door - very obvious in the new snow,
I wrote a letter to the financial officer, Amanda Mayo, explaining that I would be willing to pay for one hour of labor plus anti-freeze - $186.00. She responded by re-sending the $336.00 bill. No explanation for why I was charged double or why it was okay for a tech to relieve himself in front of my house.
Sean D.Unbelievably poor customer service. On two (2) separate occasions I set up confirmed appointments with Bob to work on plumbing issues. In both cases he was a no call/no show. For the most recent service call I waited literally *all day* from 8am until 5pm. No call. No contact whatsoever. Do NOT use this company. Very unprofessional and discourteous.
Alberta F.Customer service was exceptionally good from start to finish. Calls were returned within good time frame, technician arrived within projected window of arrival estimate and called in advance to let me know when he expected to get here. Very friendly on the phone and in person. Went the extra mile to see the job completed properly. Very knowledgeable. Will definitely call again!
