Ortts Electric accepted a job, completed the walk and took all the necessary pictures and then decided that they didn't have time to do the job. Embarrassing us to the client by not providing all the information from the walk that we requested and costed us the job. DO NOT use Ortts Electric, they can not be trusted.

Knowing that they were an established company I contracted with them to move the electric panel. This was an involved job and was surprised that they allotted only one day to the job. Towards the end of the first day the boss showed up to enquire as to why they were not finished. The lead electrician throw us under the bus claiming we interfered. If asking them to hook up an existing circuit that had somehow became disconnected prior ownership and to replace the hot water heater service line with the proper gauge line (which we provided), then I supposed we did interfere. We also worked in close proximity to them doing other needed work. I guess he needed his space.
The second day we hardly spoke nor worked anywhere near them and still they pushed to finish the job. The boss showed up and told them they would be finished that day because he had promised another customer they would be there the next day.
Electrical work isn't something that should be rushed. The lead, we could tell, was under stress and pressure to get the job completed.
They never mapped nor tested the circuits to assure they were correct because they couldn't work pass quitting time.
Much to my surprise I later found a hot neutral! I fixed that myself rather then call them back. I see their trucks around the area often and my blood pressure rises when I do!

Have contacted Ortts Electric a few times over the last few years for electrical upgrades and additions and have always found them to be professional and on time.
During the latest visit they did an addition that was not only professionally completed, as expected, but also came in under their projected cost, which is unheard of in today's world.
I would definitely recommend their business!

We paid $18000 for an HVAC system that doesn't work properly. We paid an unknown amount of money for plumbing that was improperly done and now our master bathroom tub can't be used because it leaks, which we didn't realize until it came through the ceiling under the tub. And our pipes to our master bathroom freeze when it's cold outside. So I have a faulty HVAC, a ruined ceiling, a useless tub and frozen pipes. Charlie Ortts said he wanted the opportunity to make it right. He sent one of his guys out and I haven't heard from him since. My guess is that he realized how bad his work is and how expensive it's going to be to fix and is trying to avoid me. Don't waste your money here. There are other contractors out there who will do a better job and stand behind their work.

Guys came in. Installed a sub panel. Installed a tankless water heater. Cleaned up. All in about 4 hours. Did a great job. Left it clean. We're personable and friendly to both my kids and my wife. It makes it easy to have both the plumber and electrician out, completing work, instead of calling out a whole other company. Plus you save money because you only have to pay for the 1st hour for one company, instead of two. Thanks guys!

We had an issue with our electrical system in our cabin, three hours from our home. I contacted Ortts electric and explained our issue. They picked up the key from our neighbor and diagnosed the issue in a couple hours and charged under $200. Another company said it was a much larger problem and would require going into the walls to find a short which would've cost anywhere from $500-$1500. These guys were a lifesaver and I would highly recommend them!
