I cannot say enough kind words about Oro Valley Plumbing. Rick is professional in every manner He arrived at the time he said he would, his work is neat and his prices are fair. I would HIGHLY recommend Rick at Oro Valley Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

I've used Rick at Oro Valley Plumbing for years! He's honest, reasonable, and very capable and experienced. I use him for my personal work as well as referrals to my clients ; everyone is always satisfied with workmanship, professionalism, timely response and repair, and with a great demeanor.

All of that said, if you're looking for free advice (a huge liability), or an ""arm-chair"" estimate without a on site review, then use Google or YouTube; don't waste a professional's time.

Certainly don't then blast him on Yelp, with the intent to affect his livelihood because you aren't willing to pay a professional for his time. Oh...I see those 1 star reviews (4 out of six times)...who's reviews would YOU trust?

Beware of review flamers...check their intent and their history in reviews, prior to giving them ANY credence or credibility.

Call OVP yourselves; you won't be disappointed.

I called Oro Valley Plumbing based on the great Yelp reviews, but I was disappointed with my phone conversation and I will be going elsewhere for my needs. They wanted to charge a $149 ""trip charge"" to come out and provide a quote for installing a new drain in my garage. The representative kept saying he does not provide ""free advice"" but I wasn't looking for free advice I was looking for the cost to add a drain into the garage by tapping into the adjacent laundry room plumbing. The representative said he was too busy to deal with quotes. Beware!!!

We had a shower fixture installed and they did a great job and clearly showed us what needed to be done. The cost was reasonable, too. I would definitely use Oro Valley Plumbing any time I need plumbing work.

I called Oro Valley Plumbing to replace a hot water pump. I was asked to send a picture of the pump. I was told the charge would be $350. I was told they would get the pump. When Rick arrived he did not have the pump and said the charge would be $450 because it would take 2 hours. I said, ""fine, go ahead."" Rick says,""Okay I will go get the pump."" Rick leaves for 90 minutes. He finally returns after I call him and ask if he is coming back. He replaces the pump. The replacement pump Rick installs is smaller and without a timer as the removed pump had. In other words he installed a cheaper pump than I had. Rick takes about 30 minutes to install the pump. I ask why he said it would take 2 hours and why he was charging me for two hours work. Suddenly his charge was based on a set charge rather than based on the time spent making the repairs. Then he said he charged for the 90 minutes he was gone from my house ""getting the pump."" I told him he should have brought it with him and should not be responsible for driving around (if he really was) when he knew the pump that was needed before he arrived and I was told Oro Valley Plumbing would have the pump. We get into a loud argument and he relents and lowers the price $100. Rick acts like lowering the price made up for his lies. He wanted to stay and argue. I had to tell him to leave in no uncertain terms.

For the second time in about a month, our 31 year old home has required the work of a professional plumber. First, Rick re-built our Guest Bath shower and replaced all of our bath fixtures, and just today he and Dan were here to re-build our kitchen plumbing. Each time he has been professional, efficient, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right.

Would give Rick and Oro Valley Plumbing 11 stars. Can't say enough good about Rick or recommend him highly enough. I'm handy enough to be dangerous around the house, but I also know my limits- plumbing! Rick will take a look at what's wrong and give you options on how to fix, he never just goes right to a quote. Our first experience with Rick was a whole-house polybutylene piping replacement as we moved into a new house. Done on time, on budget and two years later, zero issues. He's been out a couple of times since and is always quick to schedule with you and very thorough. Plus, he's a heck of a nice fella! If you need a solid plumber, Rick should definitely be your guy.

Copper pipes for water softener started leaking. Called Rick and we scheduled for the following afternoon, however he was available earlier and called to see if he could come over. Long story short, he fixed the problem quickly and professionally.
I felt like a person, not a number on someones list of things to get done today. This is what plumbers used to be like before the big guys came into the business. He's professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest! If you need a plumber, this is your guy! Support small businesses!

Just had Rick from Oro Valley Plumbing out to fix a bathroom sink. He arrived right on time and got the job done in a short time so we could go on with our day. We were given a quote when he looked at the job the week before and, personally I didn't care if it took 2 minutes.....I was paying for the job NOT by the hour! The bad reviews on here are just BAD reviews! I have him coming back to put a new tub in for me!
BTW.....I'm a woman and have no complaints. I was treated with utmost respect and, if I thought his initial quote was too high for the job I had the choice right then to get another bid. That's what smart people do.

I recently had a bad experience with Rick from Oro Valley Plumbing. I had a break in an underground water pipe in the yard by my garage. Rick came over and I showed him exactly where the leak was. He had to go home and get a tarp to put the rock and decorative rock on. He dug down the 18 inches of code and dug out about a 3 foot area. The fix was straight forward, but he had to leave again and get basic supplies that he should have had on his truck. He charged me for that time. The bill was $450.00 for about 2 hours of work. When I called to question the bill, he became belligerent and asked me if I was ""broke"", and did I see how dirty he got? He had remarked about my nice home. If you're a woman, don't call this guy. He'll take advantage of you.
