Oregon Backflow Testing

Scheduled an appointment with Oregon Backflow. They told me that they would be at the house between 2-4. They called me at work at 1 pm saying they were on the way to the house and would be there soon. I told the tech that I could not get home until 2. I get home at 2 and no show and no call. Sat around for two hours waiting. Would not use again

While I believe the state law to test the backflow annually is insane, Oregon Backflow has make the task easy and affordable. They showed up on time, tested and replaced some gaskets, filed all necessary paperwork, and just recently send me a reminder to get this year's test completed.

We used Oregon Backflow Testing for our annual back flow test required by the city of Gresham. First, they did not come out on the day they said they would, which meant I had to call them and remind them about servicing us. The phone conversation consisted of them telling me about how busy they were and how hard it is to fit us in...(Um...don't care. You're a business, get it together.)
They did finally come out and do everything and I am assuming sent the information to the city like they were supposed to, although they did not leave any sort of correspondence for us noting what was done or sent.
We never heard from them again, no request for payment or anything, until last week. They were out here in MAY. So they billed us 4 months late with the words OVERDUE! hand written on our invoice.
Based on this interaction, they seem very disorganized. When next spring rolls around and we have to do the testing again, we will definitely be looking elsewhere.

Oregon Backflow Testing (OBT) was referred to me by the Tualatin Valley Water Department. I have several issue with OBT- 1st- they quoted me $1200 for a job that cost less than $350 to fix. 2nd- they tried to OVERSELL actual services needed to meet backflow test standards. BEWARE! 3rdly- they insulted me by telling me they couldn't do basic repairs because I had a plant in the way and that it wouldn't be environmentally friendly if I pulled the (tiny) plant out of the way. I'd definitely GET COMPETITIVE BIDS before doing business with these folks. SHAME ON YOU OBT.
