Had a sump pump fail and they came and did a same day emergency replacement. I originally reached out to Opata for a second opinion bc I honestly don't know much about plumbing and they agreed with the other company that the sump pump needed to be replaced. Price was about $150 less than what the other company quoted me so I went with Opata. I had a million questions before and after the new sump pump was installed and they were super responsive and gave detailed answers to each question. I really appreciated this. Us first time home owners need help so it was great to not feel annoying for having a lot of questions.

I contacted Opata plumbing to have a check valve replaced on my sewage ejector pump discharge pipe. I stated that I already had the replacement part and just wanted it solvent welded in to the existing pipe. I was given a firm quote based on my description of the work.

Matt showed up on time and replaced the valve with the addition of the few elbows to make sure the pipe fit properly with the new valve all for the same initial amount.

I'll definitely be contacting Opata again for any future plumbing work I need done.

Extraordinary!! We had a tricky project -- prep'ing the plumbing on a yacht for a new washing machine. Even though he saw some non-standard plumbing, Matt used his experience and creativity to save the day. It was more involved than he expected, but he just identified the problems and solved them. Best service! I discovered a crack in a cast iron drain midday, called a few plumbers based on reviews, and chose Opata Plumbing Services. I made a great choice. Mathugh was professional, skilled, responsive, courteous, and overall an upstanding person. He replaced the cracked pipe that same day. We are very happy with Opata Plumbing. While visiting friends in Savage, Maryland, we were replacing an old vanity in our bathroom. We had already purchased the replacement and new new faucet but realized we needed help when one valves didn't turn off the water easily. We researched on Yelp and connected with a few plumbers with good ratings. Mathugh was responsive to my questions, reasonable in price (peace of mind with a flat rate for a tight budget project), and communicated well through the entire process.

Mathugh was professional, knowledgeable and friendly, even wore a mask during this crazy Covid time. He pointed out a leaky valve, which we were already concerned about a potential issue. Fortunately he was able to correct the issue before installing the vanity. Mathugh cleaned up his work site and removed our old vanity without us having to worry about it. He even took a moment to check out an unrelated possible gas leak at our old range top, and to educate us on the dangers of such leaks. He gave us great peace of mind after checking. We now have a plan to replace the old old gas stove top, but we also added a plan to pressure test the lines as soon as possible.

We enjoyed working with Opata Plumbing and will be calling again for additional home improvement and repair projects. We recommend Mathugh Opata and his plumbing services. Even though the bathroom still needs an update, the new vanity makes it all more beautiful. We love our new vanity.

Update: 5/15/20 It was just confirmed by another plumber that Opata plumbers were 100% correct in locating the leak. This saved us over $1500. and now even better my homeowners assoc. is fully responsible for the repairs in my home....

My garbage disposal needed repairing or replacing. I searched for a plumber and thankfully I found Matt. Without hesitation, he fit me into his schedule for same day service. Upon arrival to my home I discovered another plumbing concern and asked him to inspect it. As it turned out my sump pump needed replacing and it had been raining all day which led to a significant amount of ground swell. Matt quoted me a fair price. Unfortunately, we could not obtain a replacement pump because supply houses and other retailers had reduced hours due to Covid-19. He replaced the disposal and to my surprise loaned me a sump pump overnight to prevent my basement from flooding. I'm grateful for his professionalism and easy demeanor which made doing business with him terrific. Matt is a plumber whose services you can count on and trust when needed. I highly recommend him and won't hesitate to call on him again. He also was very respectful of my home taking care to clean up behind himself as well as cover his feet to prevent damaging my wood floors. Note, this is an actual review from a very satisfied client!
