In 1975, my father, George Adkins, started this company. I started my journey as an apprentice electrician alongside him eight years after. For almost four decades, we dedicated ourselves to home service and construction. In 2014, we launched a division for heating and cooling. In 2014, we transitioned to our current address on Old Rocky Ridge Road in Hoover, not far from Lakeside Baptist Church.

The overflow on my water tank was leaking. The plumber replaced the T&P valve and the expansion tank to the tune of $466.00. The next day I had a leak from a different place. The plumber returned and informed me the plastic drain needed replacing for another $241.00. He readily admitted he had caused the drain to leak during the previous repair because he had to """"touch it"""" and it was plastic and old and friable. It wasn't leaking before he """"touched it."""" I feel he should have forewarned me of this possibility. In the meantime he has informed me my best option is to replace the tank at a cost of between $2,104 and $2,569 depending on which warranty I select. Really, shame on you.

We are renovating our bathroom and have the entire area down to the studs and subfloor. I need to move the old bath drain about 12"""" to accommodate the new shower. There is access to the drain pipe from above and below. Work would consist of $20 in part and 2-3 hours if the plumber is slow. My quote was $900. When I asked why this was extremely high the technician replied that he had to use the costing in his holy book and had no way to deviate for actual conditions. He then mused a story about how the cost would be the same if he had to 'bust the drain out of a slab'. maybe they should change the name to 'on time to bend over'. pass.

I have used OnTime twice. Ironically, in both cases I needed the same thing, a new outdoor outlet installed. I will say that the technicians they sent on both calls, were very professional and easy to work with. On both calls, they clearly identified all costs and requested approval before beginning any work. The first call ended successfully, and I was happy with the work and the price. Second call not so much. The price was borderline ridiculous. I get that it was a different circumstance, but the cost was just under $1000 for an outlet. I felt a little cheated on the second call as it still cost me $79.00 to have them come out. Not sure I would call them again.

This was my first experience with on time electrical, and man am I impressed. I called with an electrical issue at home. They had a service technician by the name of Nathan out to my house within 24 hours. He was on time, very professional, and quickly diagnosed and fixed my problem. This is an outstanding business with an outstanding service tech. I hope they value Nathan, because he is a top notch guy. Thanks Nathan, and thanks on time electrical.

Excellent service. Our technician, Kevin, was knowledgeable, professional and personable. Arrived on time and completed the work expertly. Gave us recommendations for additional work for the future. Highly recommend.

David was very nice and very professional. He carefully explained our problem and how it was repaired, and he patiently answered our questions. We know more now than we did before. I am happy to recommend David to others.

As usual, Derrek, the ultimate professional arrives on time, provides very clear, detailed information as the process evolves. As happy to see Derrek

These people are way overpriced. First you pay them just to come out, then they come out and tell you how much. The guy gave us one price then changed his mind later and said no, it's another price - twice as much. $470 to run one 4' wire for a 10 minute job. I guess he couldn't make any more money off us so he just jacked up the price for this wire and tried to take advantage of us senior citizens. Rediculous! Save your money and frustration. I just called Metro Electric to do the job - they did an excellent job, charged by the hour, were honest, and didn't try to rip us off!

Excellent service!!! Notified of arrival and service was prompt and professional. The technician Derrek was excellent. Very informative and kind. He answered all of my questions before I asked!!!

Why things go wrong right before company is expected is one of life's mysteries! When an outlet blew when plugging in a vacuum and decided to cut out power to two bedrooms, I knew I had to call On-Time electric. The circuit was not tripped, signally a more complex problem needing immediate attention. Dennis from On-Time Electric arrived just under 3 hours after contacting the company and was I fortunate! He's a total professional with a super nice personality to boot. He went the extra mile by examining several related outlets and several junctures in my attic that were not done to code. He took pictures & sent them to my phone & then fixed everything. He put down drop cloths & left my house clean as a whistle. Plus I slept better knowing the work was now up to code. If you call On-Time, ask for this guy, Dennis. You will be pleased.
