I can't recommend this company, specifically Shannon, enough. He went above and beyond to fix my issue. I'll be using them again and will be recommending them to others. Thanks again.
Eric C.Such a rude company.
Called for an estimate regarding a water heater replacement. The lady said they need an email with all the details of the current water heater, a picture of the space and some other specifications. That's fine I understand however this isn't my personal water heater. I explained that these are tenants of my parents who are out of the country and it wasnt easy to retrieve all that info as if it were in my own house. I asked if there was anything else we could do and she simply responded ""no"" and began to list the reasons. Then abruptly from across the room I hear someone yell ""$2100 8 year warranty"" (which is an absurd price). I replied with an okay thanks to which they immediately hung up.
How is this customer service? The tone of the whole conversation showed they had no interest in their customers.
Mark S.tl;dr: He called me an a**hole for having the audacity to mail a check to the business address on the invoice (the only address I had for him).
My initial reaction was positive... My tenant told me they had a water leak, so I quickly found a plumber (this guy) who could do the work. He's used to working with landlords and has no problem scheduling the work w/ the tenant so they can be home, and getting payment from me. He gives me an estimate of what it'll take to do the work which seems reasonable, and can make it out the next day. Awesome. He calls the tenant to schedule the time, then calls me back telling me the tenant gave him an attitude. Uhh.. okay, whatever.
Next day, he shows up to do the work. Gives me a call letting me know there was a problem and it's going to be more than he previously estimated (I get that this happens, especially with verbal estimates given before a site visit. Not REALLY bothered by it, but the problem he identified was reasonably predictable and it would have been nice if he'd said when he gave me the estimate something like ""but X could make it cost more"".. not counting this as a strike against him though.) He completes the work.. great! I expect he's going to call me to collect payment information or send me an invoice.
A few days later I get an email with an invoice. It has a detailed listing of the work that was done, my address, tenant's address, and the business address. There is an attached credit card authorization form I'm supposed to print out, fill in, and send back to him. Oh, and there's a 3% credit card surcharge. Because of that surcharge I decide I'd rather pay by check. Everyone takes checks, right? So I instruct my bank to mail a check to the business address listed on the invoice (which matches the address in Yelp, by the way). I send him an email with a PDF confirmation from my bank. This all happens within 2 hours of receiving the invoice.
Two days later I get an email from him telling me he's been trying to call me, and to please call him back (my phone shows no missed calls from his #, but maybe he called from a different # and I didn't recognize it). So I call him.. He starts in on a rant about how I shouldn't have mailed him a check without asking him first, because if I had asked he would have told me not to mail it to the address on the invoice, because they have problems with mail going to the wrong address there and the recipients not handing it over to them... Um. But he sent me a credit card auth form I'm supposed to print out and... mail... to the only address he provided me... Serious attitude, too, like I should have known better. Then he calls me an a**hole. Seriously. ""You're an a**hole"", he says.
Invaluable time effort and service provided ...@ no initial charge as they were more interested in teaching me the fix and saving me money, more than making $$$ ...will be coming back to ONP and recommend you do too!
O'Neill Plumbing is one of the best plumbing companies I've hired recently. As a property manager and landlord I often need the best service and rates for my property owners and clients. I look forward to keep working with them in the future! Thank you!
Adding my experience witnessing a short-fuse and a poorly controlled temper. It was like a switch got flipped and what had been a regular and not unpleasant service call quickly deteriorated.
Gross, he was extremely aggressive to my 8 months pregnant wife and screamed like a poorly bearded man baby. hoping at this point to bring his ratings down.
They showed up on time as scheduled. They made the repairs needed. We were happy with the work.
Michael B.Great, timely, friendly service. Called for an emergency job and O'Neill Plumbing was there, that day, on time, and done quickly. Thank you.
Customer service is HORRIBLE! I guess I spoke to the owner. The website advertised that this company is open 24/7. It even said it was OPEN at the current time I called. 7am on Sunday. It advertises FREE ESTIMATES. I called and the owner answered. I asked if someone could come out to look at a leak in my ceiling coming through a light fixture. The man then replies "" Is it happening now."" I said we turned off the water"" He says ""It will be 345 dollars?"" I said "" Just for an estimate or to fix"" This man gets huffy puffy on the phone and says "" LOOK its Father's Day and I am a Father. If you are looking to just play around and get quotes, call someone else. YOU call me 7am on Father's Day.This is a family owned business and I am a father ! "" Sir, then advertise on your website that you are closed or not taking calls at 7am on FATHERS DAY. I can't tell my leak to "" Wait, don't leak today at 7am, it is Father's Day"" I CALLED PLUMBERS WHO ADVERTISED THEY WERE OPEN AT THAT TIME! He was extremely rude and would NOT recommend someone with this type of attitude at ALL!
