Prompt service but shoddy work. Supposedly fixed leaky toilet and clogged bathtub drain. Here for about a half hour, charged $250. We were toilet leak was mostly fixed but that the amount leaking would be negligible. Next month's water bill was $300 over our usual because of the leak. Bathtub drain flowed for about a day and then was clogged again.
I needed to have some plumbing work and called O'Neill. I called on a Monday and he said they were too busy and could not come out until next week. When next week came around, they strung me along again and finally said they were just too busy to do the job to call someone else.
In November, I noticed my water heater leaking. I called O'Neill Plumbing & Heating. Pat O'Neill came out and he determined the hot water heater needed to be replaced.
I have an AquaTherm system where the heat is gas fuel hot water heat. I paid $2,000 for the water heater to be replaced. This month my air conditioner went up. I had three companies come to provide estimates for a new HVAC system. All contractors mentioned the plumber who installed the hot water heater never added turn-off valves to the line to the air handler causing hot water to continue to heat forcing the a/c unit to work harder. In addition to the cost of the new HVAC installed, I have to pay an additional $700 to have the water tank drained and have turn-off valves installed.
I notified O'Neill Plumbing and Heating to have them correct what they had done. The owner refused, saying he told me I had a complicated system and he told me I should have switched out to a gas furnace. He said he doesn't know about these systems and he only installs hot water heaters and does nothing with the water going to the heating handler. I am now wondering why his company is called O'Neill Plumbing & Heating. He will not correct his work.
clyde m.They worked quickly and completed the work to our satisfaction. Price was reasonable and they did the work one say after assessing the problems.
I own a condo that I rent out. When my y tenant told me that the toilet was continually running, I called three plumbers. The first one I had used for a major plumbing work about 12 yrs ago and another I found on Yelp. The first one gave me two estimates, a $462 cost for a rebuild of flush vale, flapper, fill valve and tank lever with a 5 yr warranty or a replacemnt of the fill valve, flapper and supply line without a warranty for $286.91. The second plumbing company told me I should replace the toilet for $1200 because replacement parts were unavailable. When I learned that O'neil plumbing did a lot of work in the locale of my condo I called O'neil plumbing. Pat, the powner answered the phone. Total bill $200. what was replaced? fill valve and new supply line. Pat O'Neil is my new best friend. Honest and prompt and local.
Not sure if this place is still in business. I left a message about needing service a week ago but no response!
We recently had our floors redone. Problem discovered with toilet that required plumber immediately. Pat ONeill was kind enough to help us out. His son Nick showed up within two hours and not only took care of the situation but fixed another problem as well. Workmanship was top notch and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend them!
Bob E.Called to replace sump pumps and same morning had a mainline backup. They arrived saw the clog and went back to office to get snake. He fixed mainline clog then replaced sump pumps promptly. Would def recommend their services again.
Pat O'Neill and his team are simply great -- dependable, efficient, smart, honest and just about everything you want from any contractor. He has done everything from simple replacement of kitchen faucet to careful disconnecting and reconnecting our steamshower unit so we could send it to the manufacturer for a warranty repair. Best of all, he was able to ask me enough questions at times to be able to tell me we did NOT need him to come out, and that a certain problem was probably not a sewer smell, but rather a dead rodent inside the wall, and that there was nothing to do but wait that out. He was right, of course, and that advice was free.
Meghan I.This company was incredible! I called in the early morning to see if they could come by same-day. After explaining the issue we were having, Pat suspected we might have a clogged sewer line. Rather than spending hundreds of dollars, he recommended we call Baltimore County to have them do a sewer clean-out. He provided the phone number and said they usually respond within an hour or so. All went exactly as Pat explained but unfortunately our toilet remained clogged. I called back and his son (assuming - same last name) came by that afternoon. Our toilets were fixed in no time.
The quality of service we received was incredible; from first call to completion. They were honest, timely, and effective. The price was more than reasonable too. O'Neill Plumbing will definitely be our go-to from now on.
