My son threw a watermelon rind in the toilet (unknown to us at the time). Initial treatment was to snake the main drain line from cleanout ($195). That didn't work. Additional charge to remove the toilet, flush out/snake the toilet, and put the toilet back ($250). That's when the technician found the watermelon rind. He told us there was something else in the toilet and we needed to replace it. (This was a misdiagnosis, because we broke it apart after the fact and there was NOTHING clogging the toilet after he cleared it the first time.)
Instead of putting the old toilet back, we purchased a new toilet at the recommendation of the technician. Just to put a new, customer supplied, clean toilet in the place of the old toilet (which was already removed!) - $375 additional.
The technician was friendly, clean, and easy to work with. But I'd rather have a jerk that will charge fair prices and still does the job correctly. I'm the idiot that signed the check for the outrageous prices they charged, but when you have a three year old pooping in a bucket, you do what you have to do. Unfortunately they realize the predicament you're in and charge accordingly.
I will not be making the same mistake again with this company. If you do use them, do your due diligence on the work they propose. A $375 charge for a misdiagnosis is ridiculous. And I bought a $180 toilet on top of that when it was completely unnecessary.

This update review is well over due. It has been at six years since I have used One-way Rooter as my #1 go to plumbing company. Roger is exceptionally knowledgeable and has provide excellent customer service every single time. No matter what, I can always rely on them to take care of job even at a moment's notice. They are reasonable compare to other local plumbing companies I have used. Anabel is great to work with, she is always very professional and very efficient. So, if you need a great plumbing company, I highly recommend One-way Rooter.

My husband and I have used this company several times when our drains get backed up, or shower tabs need to be changed out. Here's why they are given five stars: They answer the phone! They can usually get someone out to our house within hours of our phone call. The work is done well, and they clean up after themselves. And I don't feel gouged by the price. The bill always seems fair to me. One visit was for our water heater. We thought we might need to replace it. Instead, this company's employee said they could get a part for the tank, which would be a lot cheaper. He also assessed that this water heater still looked to be in pretty good shape and would likely work for several more years. The company has integrity. I always appreciate companies who function with integrity being the expectation!

I had the immense pleasure of having Bryce come to my home and handle business. He's a polite and kind young man with the can-do spirit. That's the guy you want if you have a choice. I don't wanna take away from any of their other fine technicians, but certainly wanted to single him out as being a consummate professional and very good at what he does! Thank you. I called my apartment manager at 8 am letter her know that I had no hot water when I moved in. She called Oneway. The plumber Caesar was here at 10 am. He said he need approval for a new water heater from my manager, Cesar got approval and was back in about 45 minutes with my new water heater. It looks like he even cleared out all the cob webs.
