Pricing was upfront and fair, and Gabriel was very nice and didn't (appear to) mind that my snoopy self watched and asked questions the whole time. Cara J.I hit up the owner, Gabriel (who goes by Gabe), around 7 pm on a Thursday night after my stackable W/D broke down and the washer completely stopped at ""Rinse"" during a large wash cycle of clothes. I was freaking out and felt like it was an impossible mission - I have people coming in town in two days, I have tons of laundry to do to get extra bedding/towels around, and my landlord lives across the country. Added on that, it's a Thursday evening after hours and it's getting to be hot outside again, so contractors are busy bees right now as it is.
He responded immediately to my message sent on Yelp, and was just as knowledgable and helpful as his reviews say! He asked for specific photos of my washer and the model number for the unit and assured me he could handle the job. He was even kind enough to walk me through the right place to find the model on the machine, very patiently might I add, as it took me a few tries. He was great with giving me directions to help him.
I had a few other contractors that I had contacted for this project on the site as well and One Shot Installation, by far, was the best choice. Gabe was here at the exact time he said he would be this morning, he was very thorough and tested my machine twice while walking me through every thing it could or could not be. He is very knowledgable about his work and all appliances, electrical work, and telecommunications (and more!) He was in and out in an hour with a real fix.... instructions on how to avoid this happening on my older unit in the future. What a company, seriously. Truly exceptional service and response times. Plus, Gabe is a real cool guy and character! Trustworthy service all-around to have in your home, coming from a female that lives alone in a first floor condo.
Great news for me - all the laundry will done in plenty of time for my guests to arrive! Thanks again, Gabe!

terri t.Gabe is so sweet and courteous! I contacted him this morning and he came out within an hour and half later to fix my washer that was overfilling. He was able to explain to me what was happening with the washer and what I needed to do to make it work better. I also did some preventative maintenance on the dryer too, so that wont have any issues either! It was such a wonderful experience and he is a super nice person. If you are looking for someone that is knowledgeable, friendly and honest def give him a call! It was such a wonderful experience!

Left me in a bit of a bad position on a Friday.
Called around 9a in the morning and didn't get a call back until 11a to discuss the electrical issue I am having with my cooling system. He asked for a photo but due to work I couldn't get one but told him I would. He explained he had time on Saturday and could help out. I had some cabling that needed to be done as well which he advertising he can do. When I lately sent him a photo of my circuit breaker that HE REQUESTED, he informed me he can't do it because it'd be too difficult to get the parts and he hurt his right arm. While I am sorry and empathic to his injury, he could have called to inform me at least before 5pm. It is now Friday at 5:30p and I am trying to call electricians for help before the weekend but am up the river without a paddle due to the late notice from him. Additionally, I could still needed the cabling done but I guess that doesn't matter? Long story short, should have just called someone else more dependable and willing to solve the issue. Also gave me a quote of $160 to just 'access' the situation. Won't be hard to find someone better.
Response to owner:
1. I had no idea it was a busy day and was not told it was. If I were told, I would have called other electricians as well, but I am sure you did not want to potentially loose business.
2. I do care you were injured and apologize for it as well as send my sympathy. However, you could still text and obviously post on yelp so you have the ability to communicate. Also you didn't really care about my grandmother dying until this post so that is very convenient for you.
3. On the phone you explained you needed the picture to know ""what you were walking into."" Not if you could or could not do the job. Again probably because if you had I would have started to call other electricians.
4. It doesn't add up for you to charge a 160 dollar assessment fee to come out but can determine whether you can do the job or not from a photo? So which is it, you need to come out to access the breaker or do you need a picture?
5. I'm not an electrician so assuming I know what is wrong with my home's electrical and how 'bad' (which I own and live in now but thanks for the assumption anyway) it is was again unhelpful.
6. Your recommendation was closed after 5p so it was just the same as a restaurant pointing me to another restaurant who is closed.
7. If you want to blame this all on a former potential customer, go for it all you want. Because even if I was in a bad spot before like you said, you just made it worse by not communicating and are more concerned for your image on Yelp than customers.
Gabe was great - I had an ""emergency"" (turns out it wasn't really an emergency, but he could hear that I was nervous) and he showed up within an hour to come help. He fixed the problem quickly and thoroughly explained everything. He also re-labeled by circuit board as it was very poorly labeled. He is very professional and efficient and I would definitely work with him again! Highly recommend.
Brianna F.Gabe was amazing to work with! His customer service is amazing. Gabe installed my gas dryer and made sure he could hear the dryer light. Im very pleased with the work he did as well as the additional information he gave us for some of our concerns. I would definitely recommend One Shot to anyone who needs a ""go to"" guy.
Do yourself a real favor and use Gabe for any electrical, plumbing, or appliance repair needs you have. He was recommended highly by a friend who has used him multiple times, and you can bet I will do the same. He offered to come the same day I called to fix an electrical issue that I had, but I had him come the next day and he diagnosed and repaired a difficult problem to trace beyond my experience. He was knowledgeable, experienced, polite, and made a big effort to educate me on what had happened, why, and what he would do the correct the problem. His price was very fair and I enjoyed meeting him and finding out his background. I am very leary of vendors with the service call being nothing but a chance to upsell more services, and to have Gabe as a resource now is fantastic-trust him.
