I received a notice from the LA County Health that I needed to install a backflow preventer at my restaurant. I had no clue whatsoever what a backflow preventer was at the moment. We had an issue with flooding where the gate valve or irrigation valve shutoff was. The guy went over our whole sprinkler system and told us where we needed to replace sprinkler heads, etc. He said it was a leak more to the street side of where the sprinkler shutoff valve box was. He said he would email an estimate and summary. Never got it. He did not return my texts either after he came out.

John Stoeckel installed smart sprinkler controller (Rachio generation 2) in my brother's house in La Habra. He was knowledgeable and his workmanship was clean and well organized. He installed the unit and programmed the controller in my smart phone for me. When there is rain, my sprinkler will not turn on, saving water. When I needed to purchase a smart sprinkler controller, he recommended to purchase Rachio generation 2 since it functions well and it is less expensive that generation 3. It was right recommendation. He is a nice and kind person, and he showed up at the appointed time. His price was fair. I recommend John for smart controller installation, and probably for other irrigation related work also, considering his workmanship, kindness and fair price.
