I am very unhappy and concerned with how One Day Complete Repipe people handled the repipe project at my house. The overall quality of their work is unsatisfactory.
I was interested in them because of good Yelp ratings and that they would finish the work in one day. And their sales rep was friendly and promised a lot. But when the project started I realized the crew was quite disorganized. They brought about 10 people into my house and each one jumped on a task, but I didn't get the feeling that someone was properly coordinating the work. I had bought a number of different shower heads to compare and without asking me they began installing one (the wrong one).
But the biggest concern I have is the quality of their work. They rushed to finish the work and the things I could see (appliances, leaks, etc) all indicate that the crew were not properly trained and organized. Here is a list of things that I noticed after they finished the work:
1) They connected the Hot and Cold water to the washer incorrectly and as a result every time I ran Cold/Cold, I was running Hot/Hot. I noticed this after a week when I began seeing clothes shrink.
2) They didn't connect and seal properly, and I had leaks in the kitchen as well as the downstairs bathroom.
3) They installed my water filter incorrectly and it began leaking and destroyed the wooden cabinet underneath the sink.
4) The crew damaged the kitchen faucet when they flushed the pipes and debris got inside the faucet.
5) They did not install the shower and faucets in the living room and bathrooms properly. As a result the faucet handles all looked unaligned and crooked, and there were three handles that were not properly tightened and were loose.
The owner did not come into the house and present himself. Instead the crew just came in and began tearing things apart. They had a lead that didn't seem to be sure of his role. At lunchtime the owner just came in, and began talking to the crew. Didn't present himself and I had to approach him and ask him who he was. He also kept mouthing off during the inspection and kept questioning the directives given by the city inspector. He also began arguing with me when I pointed out some of the mistakes listed above and kept arguing that his crew had in fact done a great job.
I had to pay several hundred dollars to have other plumbers come and finish or clean up what this crew didn't do, and I am not at all happy the with level of quality in their work. If they mismanaged so much what is visible to the eye, God knows how good of a job they did with the pipes that are hidden behind the walls and are out of plain sight.

We were fully impressed with Jose and his team. They were on time, respectful and very clean. They did exactly what they said they would and went above and beyond. We are very happy with his work and his whole team. We would definitely recommend one day complete repipe.

I had galvanized steel pipes, and saw the insides of them after the guys came out to replace with copper. They were DISGUSTING and had lots of buildup. I also had brown water every time I turned my shower on. Not so after the repipe. I now have crazy high water pressure, and it's nice and clear.
Repiping your entire home is a big job; pipe behind the drywall needs to be exposed, and new pipe needs to be run in crawlspaces, attics, etc. This amounts to a lot of (temporary, controlled) destruction of your home, and you definitely don't want your walls and pipes torn apart only to find that your guys don't know how to get it back together or are missing parts. The One Day Complete Repipe guys do repipes day in, day out, and know exactly what they're doing. They gave me a great rate, and included drywall repair in the quote. After the work was done, I repainted the new drywall myself to safe some cash. The drywall repair is not done on the same day or by the same work crew.
Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find One Day Complete Repipe had scheduled a city inspector to check out their work. Lots of times customers and contractors are tempted to skip inspections to save money, but with something as important and costly as your water pipes, you want it done right. One Day Complete Repipe does it by the book and has an inspector out, and I appreciate that. The inspector found some minor things, and they took care of the issues for no fee.

Out of three estimates, we selected them because they were offering more and promised to finish in one day. The price was little high, it was worth it. Jose and his team finished the work in one day with all the additions that they promised. Next day, the patching crew came and patched all the walls in only a few hours. Very professional.

We did this work one year ago- and I did not change my opinion a bit - Jose and his crew were fantastic!!!

They were our first estimate and we wanted to sign immediately due to their professionalism. We wasted our time with other vendors who all wanted more money, needed 4 days or wanted to knock out the kitchen wall. They covered the house in plastic like a scene from Dexter. When they left you never knew they were there. 12 hours and gone. They did other special tasks like activate and move an outdoor faucet to help our garden. All new shower fixtures the other guys did not offer. Very professional. They insulated the hot water pipes, fixed the flow from the street and now we have hot water that does not take 10 minutes to get there. Yahtzee!!

Jose and his team are excellent &highly recommended -Here's why:
Pre-visit call: I called on a Sun EVENING. Jose was very responsive & called back immediately. I explained I had a leak from a botched up job for a whole house re-pipe (done a year earlier). He told me he'd visit the next day & indeed the next day he showed up on time, not 20 mins late (which many folks in this trade consider that ""on time"").
He went under the house (crawl space) to inspect the piping & made suggestions on repairs & replacements, all with explicit options. He didn't push a particular solution nor did he suggest I re-pipe the whole house again. I had brought up the topic of using PEX flexible piping. At this point, he explained the pros & cons of all the types & suggested I steer away from M-Type copper, as being the thinnest, it's likely to fail fastest. Still, he left the choice to me with zero pressure.
After I decided on a particular approach, I asked him about the warranty & workmanship, which he put down in writing in his quote. He explained he would complete the entire job & have water back up in 1 day.
I had been talking to 3 other piping companies, and while there was one cheaper option, the comfort he provided in the discussion & dialogue won me over. We decided on a day when he would do the work. At 830AM, on the appointed day, he showed up with a 7 man crew. They laid out plastic runners, taped them down from the garage entrance throughout the house to every location they were going to walk through. They draped (ceiling to floor) a plastic insulation using the same polyethylene material to ensure that no dust, and solder would get on the furniture, adjacent rooms or on the kitchen counters/appliances, and then topped the floor runners with tarp as the polyethylene would likely tear from excessive foot traffic & wear.
I had chosen to lay PEX piping & they soon got to work under the house removing the previous copper piping (completely). By the time the late afternoon rolled around, I could see that they were closed to being finished and around 6PM, they had packed up & left, leaving holes in preparation for an inspection the next day. According to code, the PEX must be attached to copper piping before it intercepts any outlets.
The water was turned back on for us to use, so a ONE DAY repipe, was indeed completed in ONE day (actually 10 hrs). That was wonderful - because all the other companies I had spoken to said I would have no water for 1 day but the job itself would take 2-3 days, and it's a hassle to have limited use of your house for that long.
The next day, one of his crew members arrived ahead of the inspector & waited patiently outside the house in his car. Along with the inspector, they then went through each water source outlet, kitchen, bath, laundry and inspected the piping in the crawl space. The inspector gave his approval for the sheet rock repair work to begin. A few hours later, the sheet rock crew showed up, and within three hours, everything was done. No paint of course, since that was not part of our deal. Still, the sheet rock was smooth and well formed when they left.
The inspector showed up again the next day to check on the sheet rock repair and other insulation, including where the water supply line came in through the garage into the house. The inspector indicated what he thought was something that had not been correctly completed. Jose and his team knew the code well in San Jose and pointed out that in San Jose City, the code did not require what the inspector had asked for. The inspector called and verified this with his colleagues in the San Jose Building department and acknowledged Jose's
correct assertion. A few moments later they all left, only after I received a completed and approved Inspection report. Job well done.
A few months later, specifically, on Sunday, Sep 18, 2016, a dripping leak (3 gal/day) developed in the bathtub in one of our washrooms. I called Jose immediately explaining the issue & he said sometimes when they lay down the piping (PEX or copper), some dirt can get in, travel through and eventually clog one of the outlets creating a low flow/dripping leak. He said he would have someone over the next day at 9AM. At 9AM on Mon, Sep 19 2016, one of his crew members showed up and sure enough, within 30 mins, he fixed the problem and was gone, performing the job cleanly and without dirtying our house across the path he came in. No fuss, no muss.
It was then I decided to write this review. I don't write many raving reviews. However, since it's rare, at least in my experience, to have done work with a very pleasant, committed & easy going contractor at a value price no less, I felt compelled. I hope it is helpful to anyone reading it. I definitely recommend Jose and his crew to everyone who wants the job done fast, well and with someone who will stand by their work should something go wrong.

I am incredibly impressed with One Day Complete Repipe, who has now repiped two single family houses for me. From start to finish, they are professional and organized. Their quotes detail the exact scope of work (more so than any contractor that I've worked with) and they take care of pulling the city building permits for the projects.
The first project occurred in December 2014 in the pouring rain. The team put down plastic and cloths to ensure that they did not track any mud inside. At the end of the day, they even mopped the floor, leaving the house in cleaner condition than what it was at their arrival.
The second project occurred in August 2015 and everything went smoothly. Fast forward to February, my tenant mentioned that the master bathroom faucet did not provide hot water (although everything else works perfectly). I called One Day Complete Repipe, who immediately came out to troubleshoot and fix the issue. Mistakes happen and I appreciate their prompt response and willingness to stand by their work months after the fact.

I had my whole house copper repiped in Oct 2015 and Jose's team did an amazing job. My initial estimate and consultation was with Paul and he was convincing and sincere. I couldn't believe it was done in one day. They finished around 8pm I think and it was dark by then being in the Fall time frame. I was home all day and I never felt the crew was rushed. The patch crew did an amazing job, too, the next day. You really can't tell where the patch work was done if you didn't know ahead of time. Of course, it blends in even more over time.
They installed the ground rod and even put in another pressure regulator thingie by the water heater. They did everything I asked and even some things I didn't think they could do but they were able to. I have great water pressure and no more rusty waters. You can't go wrong with a lifetime warranty either.
So far everything is fine. No issues at all. They do quality work at a very good price. At least get an estimate from them.

We hired One Day Complete Repipe to do a PEX repipe for our 4-plex. We were pleased with their work and follow up. Jose and his crew completed the job on time and stand behind their work.
