Be careful with these people. I have been with them for awhile and have had some occasional problems such as double billing. That's their favorite! I recently went to cancel them prior to my vacation and let them know that my home was closing in August. The person I spoke with would not have it and said that I should keep it going at least until my property closed. When I finally called them after it closed, they do not take in consideration that you initially called & they tried to bill me for two billing cycles. But they act like their doing you a favor by waiving one of them, but your stuck paying an extra month, even if someone else owns the home. Be careful with them. Take good notes when you talk to them or record it just as they are doing.

Scam! Scam! Scam! Mail Fraud! They Sent me a letter to my house offering service to protect my Water line or sewer line or both. They said it does not cover Anything for 30 days. After 75 days I got a letter from my water company saying that they suspected a problem.
I called Pivotal andThey said for me to have it fixed and they would pay the bill.
I hesitated because I remember when I signed up that they said do NOT choose my own repair person, but they would send someone out. Then Nothing the next day. When I called back, they said they would have someone call me. After 2 days of telephone tag they asked for my water bill. In the mean time, they sent me a claim form so that I could have it fixed and bill them Then before I got someone out they said they would not pay to have it fixed. I asked for this response in writing twice and have NEVER gotten a written response. I need the written turn down so I can take a 401K Hardship withdrawal to pay to get it fixed while I argue. It is still not fixed and still leaking water into my yard racking up the bills. I was stupid enough to pay the $19.99 instead of the $12.99 so my electronics could be fixed or replaced if they go out. My big screen TV 50 inch and part of my video Game went out. NOPE, they will not cover it. WHAT exactly am I paying for? I think I am just Paying to be scammed while lining someone's Pockets. It shows on my gas bill as Vectren Home Solutions. A class Action Lawsuite against their Parent NICOR was just filed in May 2017 for deceptive practices in Marion County Indiana. It has since been transferred to federal court. The lawsuit alleges Nicor partners with public utility companies to slip charges onto customers' bills for a ""worthless repair plan"" using ""deceptive"" telephone marketing.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

It is actually happened to my elder father. He signed up without being told that the coverage is only for homeowner which he is not ! After paying NHS for more than a year, he found out he was not qualified for the coverage so he cancelled since last May. As of today, Nicor Home Solutions is still sending him bills trying to get more money out of him. I called them and their customer services representatives argued that they have no record that my father has cancelled the coverage, therefore he is still owning them money...although the coverage was not valid because he is not a homeowner ???????

According to their residential customer agreement, ""The company may refuse to provide service or deny enrollment under the Plan if eligibility requirements are not met"" AND ""Company may cancel this Agreement prior to the end of the current 12 month term for non-payment by You.....""
It's obvious that my elder did not meet any of their requirements, but they are still trying to intimidate him to give them more money ! This company is only care about getting money out of elders who trusted them.

Cancel or do not purchase this plan it is not a service plan for repair of appliances if you need repair completed within several weeks. The service is poor, lack of experience. it took three weeks to repair my refrigerator, service people told me sorry we had another customer who needed same parts we installed in there fridge and had to reorder for mine. they also arrived several times unable to find parts in there disorganized van.we lost food and when i called customer service and spoke to Sonny the Supervisor, she agreed the problems are over the top and someone would call me to try and compensate my loss. No call no action to resolve i would never recommend them to anyone. they are not able to repair in a timely manner

I had been a Nicor Home Solutions Customer for over 10 years. After asking customer service to look into an issue (error on their part) for over 5 months and several phone calls and promises that my case would be resolved I was stuck with a huge bill.- credit that didn't come close to my wrongful charges. And besides all that the fact that they didn't care that I had been a loyal paying customer for 10+ years made me realize that I would never want to do business with them again. Please monitor your Bill and when you see an error be prepared to make several phone calls (at least an hour of call time each. Talk to several service reps, never hear back from a supervisor and don't let them tell you they are resolving the matter and not follow up as they will continue to bill you as they figure out the error.

If there is an option to give 0, I would have given it. Worst and awful service from Nicor Home Solutions.
I reported an issue about my refrigerator on April 25th and it is still not fixed even after 2 1/2 months. Now I cannot use it as it is completely stopped working. I called them multiple times on this as a follow up and the answer is technician ordered the part and it will be addressed once the part is received. My daughter who is pregnant with a due date within a week is at home and we are not able to provide her milk , juices etc at regular frequency as there is no means to keep them fresh due to non functional refrigerator. The answer I got from this company is they don't care about it and don't provide any alternate solution. The response I got from them is I need to look alternate options on my own and they won't cover it.

I asked multiple times to escalate the issue with their management to get some attention and they all gone deaf.

Update - To everyone that reads these reviews and to Pivotal Home Solutions. There is accountability at this company, thank goodness! Pivotal Home Solutions sent the nicest service person to my house this morning. He did not leave until he checked everything and made sure I was satisfied. This was an unfortunate event, but I received a call from the senior management at Pivotal this afternoon who not only apologized, but walked me through where the process didn't work and how they fixed it. Thank you for fixing everything Pivotal!

This is the worst service company that I have ever had to work with. NICOR Gas used to have a contracted service company in the past that NICOR handled the service calls and sent a local HVAC company to do the service. This all changed when Pivotal Home Solutions became the service group. I have made repeated requests for an email document with terms and conditions of the policy and after a wait of a month for the information nothing appears in any of my email folders.

I have scheduled an HVAC cleaning and check three times in the past 2 months. The first time, the technician blew off the appointment without a phone call and without anyone letting me know that he wasn't coming. The second time, I received a call after I left work and was already home stating that the technicians were too busy to make it that day. Today, I called 3 times prior to the appointment to verify that someone was coming, and was repaeatedly told that the technician would be here between 3:00 and 5:00 as scheduled. I didn't hear anything from anyone, so at 5:10 I called again, and was told that the technician would be here between 5:00 and 7:00.

From the very beginning, every time I called the company during this fiasco, I was very careful to remain polite with the person with whom I was talking on the phone. (Except for the last time - sorry Jasmine, you caught the end of a drawn-out frustrating endeavor). And each time, I was handled by a sugary-sweet but completely impotent phone representative.

Basically, I'm discovering that this is a standard overblown, oversize and top-heavy ""service"" company has lost all touch with the true service that probably was in operation when the company was originally established -- service that built it into the unconcerned lackadaisical company that it has become today.

IF the technician actually shows up today, it will be the second-to-last contact that I will have with this company. The final contact will be shortly after the technician departs, when I call to cancel the ""service"" agreement.
