Company Overview

Air Conditioning & Heating Service, Pipe Repair, Pipe Clearing, Slab Issues, Safe H2O, Vent Service, Attic Insulation.

This firm was launched by Bob Dolton in 1965. In 1981, Bob handed over the company to a team of individuals connected with Unique Indoor Comfort. In 1986, Unique expanded by taking over Hamilton Air Mart. Hamilton functioned as a separate entity until 1998, when the two companies combined. In 2003, the business decided to become part of a franchising group and changed its name at that time.

The company was taken over by Randy Kelley in March 2012. In March 2013, Randy acquired the assets of Avery Air, a business functioning since 1957, from insolvency. In October 2013, he purchased SA Specialties of Dallas.

In January 2014, the 10-year deal with the franchising group ended, and the firm decided to move in a different approach. That's when On Time Experts came to be. This further permits the company to offer additional home offerings in the future.

The fundamental beliefs of the firm remain the same...100% Consumer Fulfillment, No Matter What It Takes! Randy joined with the company, Bob Dolton/Unique Indoor Comfort, in 1986 as a component runner and supported in the office. He quickly transitioned to a service technician and conducted installations.

Randy became Service Manager in 1988. In this role, he handled phone calls, coordinated service calls, dispatched technicians, procured parts and equipment, maintained inventory, completed daily paperwork, and updated Service Agreements.

In 1995, Randy advanced to President/General Manager. In this position, he oversaw daily operations, increasing the business from 10 employees to 30 when he purchased the business.

Randy purchased the company in March 2012. Randy increased the business by over 52% each year in 2012 and 2013, now having more than 80 team members.

Randy strongly believes in 100% Consumer Fulfillment, No Matter What It Takes!

I made the mistake of buying a new a/c unit from them 4 years ago. Since then my home has never been efficient or consistently cool. I have had them come out 6 times to try to adjust my air flow and keep my home cool. On the 7th visit they had there air flow specialists out and said my duc work is all wrong. So I got all new duc work put in place. We'll my home still doesn't cool off and I have spent very close to 30,000 for a 2,000 square home that does not get cold. Would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! If I could give less than one star I would.

Requested a quote for a new system. Carrier 2.5 ton unit with furnace. They quoted just over $14k AFTER 4 BS $975 discounts (Sr. Citizen, Member of their maint program discount, Carrier Promo disc, End of Month discount) The total was over $18k before discounts. Called another company, got the EXACT same make and model number unit quoted on my bid from On-Time, from another company for $5k. They were available half a day quicker than On-Time and my system works great! NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE.

Mislead over the phone. Called last night to see if someone could come check our HVAC system and was told that it would be a free consultation to come out and diagnose the problem. I waited till 12:30 AM and the technician never called and never showed up. Called again in the morning and was told they called me and left a voicemail though I had neither from the previous night. Person over the phone this morning tried to tell me it would be $95 to come out even though the person last night said it was no cost to come out and diagnose so I don't know where the $95 increase came from in under 8 hours but it is what it is. Shady business practices to me and will not use their services. Wouldn't recommend them based off the terrible experience I had just over the phone.

"On Time" is laughable. Appointments made and appointments missed. Don't waste your time with these "service" providers. lots of talk about professional service, but in the end poor to average Unfinished work.

They have always done me right has far as repairs and installations go but when they offer me duct cleaning they told me it was thier company doing the work and the would also check the attic system and clean the air box when the did the ducts. A subcontractor showed up to do they job, said he was finished afer vacuuming the vent for two hours. I asked about the mold still in my ducts and the attic system he just said no and walked out. I called to cancel my monthly service with them and the call center rep didn't even care why. Was planning on having them replace my system in a coulple of years, looks like I'Ll be taking my money elsewhare. Too Bad to bought the plumbing compny I was using, have to look for a new plumber now also. Two stars insted of one because before this, they did an ok job.

DO YOUR RESEARCH! TOO MUCH TIME WASTED AND WAY TOO MUCH MONEY SPENT!

We all learn the hard way. We had a great tech that helped us last year during the middle of the summer when our AC went down. Thats where everything stops.

We have spent more money than I care to admit to, and here we are. We had multiple issues after the initial install and then, today, had an inspection. Everything worked fine before the tech arrived but he managed to find a drain blockage for the AC unit. Another contractor overheard the "plan" to fix said drain and after the technician left gave us his opinion of what he thought may be going on and suggested we get a second opinion, warranty or not, as the suggested fix is an external drain coming out of the roof (a spot which we were told would be sealed during install and wasn't), down the side of the house with an underground tiled French drainage system that would be "no cost to us" and that we "can have painted to match the brick". We decided to take the other contractor's advice into consideration and left it at that.

Today's appointment was also rescheduled multiple times due to weather (we get it) but there was no courtesy call with an ETA so the tech just showed up and we had to scramble to adjust schedules. No biggie - you make it work, right?

Fast forward five hours - the AC unit is no longer working. We've checked breakers and confirmed that everything was good. We are four calls in and have been told that they may or may not make it out tonight but even after midnight, it's still considered "today". We were promised calls and emails but have yet to hear anything. The on call person couldn't get the phone number associated with our account correct after five attempts and on the second call to ask if there were any updates, the person said there was no escalation point and said that he "didn't care what our situation was." A third call yielded a more friendly service rep, but still no resolve. We asked if it would be "today" and were repeatedly told that "dispatch will call 30-45 minutes prior to arrival". When we continued to ask and stated that today ends at midnight, we received the same robotic response (I'm sure it's a script). All of this while having to shuffle family members around due to graduation and try to find hotels for those that can't handle the high temps. A fourth call still had no results except for being told that "dispatch is not answering and there is nothing they can do".

Don't take the bait. Take your time, do your research and get multiple evaluations and save yourself some time and money.

They are happy to answer your calls and escalate the issue as long as you have a credit card at the ready. Once you sign, move to the back of the line because you no longer matter.

On Time and out of line! I needed my kitchen sink snaked instead I got a total nightmare! I heard this extremely loud boom thought it was thunder ran outside to see the On Time plumber had hit my 50+ year old pine tree so hard he knocked the bark off and now I may lose it. My dad planted that tree I'm so sad. Then he proceeds to unclog my slow draining sink without success. The next morning I wake up both sides of my sink have standing water and even my dishwasher! I am a veteran and this was to be a free service per the company, the plumber said he wouldn't charge me! Hello you crash into my pine tree make the plumbing issue worse to say that!? You owe me! The street my pine tree is on is wide I have had ambulances, fire trucks, school buses, even 18 wheelers drive by for the past 60+ years no one has ever hit my pine tree! Apparently this On Time plumber has driving skills as bad as his plumbing skills! Do NOT use On Time plumbing they make matters worse it's all about who can bring in the most money then they are rewarded with trips to Hawaii, etc.

When I tell you this place doesn't deserve the 2 stars they are rated I mean it. Everything went well. A guy named Keelan is super talented he fixed my households crack so easily and smoothly. This man is truly a good worker and should definitely get a raise

On Time Experts were not "On Time". They were scheduled to provide an A/C cleaning on April 22, 2024 between 12pm and 4pm. After I had waited 2.5 hours, I called the office to find out when the guys would arrive. Office person called me back to tell they were running late and I would have to reschedule. I said ok, when is the next available appt. She said "In 3 weeks". I said I already waited 2-3 weeks for the appt today. She told me that was all that was available. I told her nevermind. I do not recommend this company.

OnTime Experts took 20+ hrs to install our unit when they said it would take 6-8 hrs. They had no explanation for they delay when asked. There tech "ghosted" us three times throughout the process, once was after requesting a space heater needed overnight for a 1 year old. They did not complete their Quality Check until 60+ days after install when it is supposed to be within 30 days. We had to call several time to get the quality inspection scheduled, and never had our voicemails returned. When trying to schedule the inspection appt we learned they failed to leave us air filters and show us how to preform maintenance on the unit when needed. OnTime Experts failed horribly in communication and follow up. Their complete lack of customer service is not what you should get if spending $15K. This is a warning to stay away from OnTime Experts!
