Company Overview

Air Conditioning & Heating Repair, Drain Fix, Pipe Clearing, Slab Problems, Pure Water, Vent Cleaning, Roof Insulation.

This firm was founded by Bob Dolton in 1965. In 1981, Bob transferred the business to a team tied to Unique Indoor Comfort. Unique carried on to develop by acquiring Hamilton Air Mart in 1986. Hamilton continued a distinct firm until 1998, when it merged with the other company. In 2003, the firm decided to join a franchise and modified its name.

The business was taken over by Randy Kelley in March 2012. In March 2013, Randy purchased the assets of Avery Air, a business running since 1957, from financial distress. In October 2013, he took over SA Specialties of Dallas.

The 10-year deal with the franchising group ended in January 2014, leading the firm to decide for a different path. That's when On Time Experts was established. This further enables the firm to provide various home solutions in the time ahead.

The fundamental values of the business are remained...100% Consumer Fulfillment, Whatever It Takes! Randy began with the company, Bob Dolton/Unique Indoor Comfort, in 1986 as a supply runner and assisted in the operations. He rapidly moved to a service technician and conducted installations.

In 1988, Randy took on the role of Service Manager. In this position, he oversaw phone calls, coordinated service calls, allocated technicians, procured parts and equipment, maintained inventory, processed daily paperwork, and revised Service Agreements.

In 1995, Randy advanced to President/General Manager. In this position, he directed daily operations, growing the company from 10 employees to 30 by the time he took over the firm.

Randy purchased the firm in March 2012. Randy expanded the business by over 52% each year in 2012 and 2013, now boasting more than 80 team members.

Randy firmly believes in 100% Customer Satisfaction, Whatever It Takes!

I've been waiting for someone to come replace a hose bib for two days now. Yesterday a technician showed up late and brought the wrong part. Today the technician is late and no one has been able to give me a guaranteed ETA. They basically just told me "he'll get there when he gets there." Terrible customer service and a waste of time and money.

Man these guys sure sound good on their commercials. It's REALLY hit and miss. Look at their rating. Had some plumbing done last summer and they were ...OK. Was talked into a yearly contract that's supposed to save me money and move me to the head of the line, BUT. Called for my Winter furnace check and had to cancel the first one after the techs were over an hour late. I'm typing this review an hour and a half after my text from them says when they would arrive. ON YIME EXPERTS??? So, here I am after getting on the phone and finding out that I'm still liable for the remainder of payments on the year even after I've paid for this long and they have not delivered on their end. Doesn;t that void a contract??? Steer clear, amigos.

Ridiculous quote for a service that wasn't even needed. Glad I got a second opinion. Also overcharged for call out despite advertising a special and telling me one price over the phone, and didn't actually do anything but write up an estimate for things I didn't even need.

They should first of all change their name to 'late experts' or 'not on time experts'. On both occasions of using their services, they confirm an appointment time for a two hour time frame but turns out that means nothing. You could have an 10-12pm appt but not get seen until the evening. When I called the dispatcher after 12pm had passed they informed me that in fact the timeframe I confirmed was not fixed. They would simply call when they were on their way. I work from home and run meetings throughout the day, so not having a window of time I can block off does not work.

Second they sell the heck out of their monthly 'insurance' package. "Pay nothing today but sign up for our insurance for $19.99 a month". No thanks.

Third, and the worst of it... we got two people to come out because our washing machine was backed up and needed a clean out. I could tell off the bat they were not happy or friendly and didn't seem to answer the questions I had. RED FLAG. They tell me they cannot perform the cleanout as their bit could not fit in my 2 inch pipe? I was like WTF??? They then put in the camera to look and showed me a fuzzy picture that they said was roots in my pipes. To my disbelief I was horrified. They stated they would write me up a quote for the repairs.

I wanted to get a second opinion since I was weirded out through the whole interaction with the two of them. I contacted a local recommended plumber and low and behold there were NO ROOTS IN THE LINE. On Time Experts blatantly lied to try and get me to pay THOUSANDS!!

Moral of the story, don't initially believe what they tell you. Find a recommended plumber from your local FB group and get someone you can trust.

Called to make an urgent appt because one of two AC units were not working. Blank thermostat. Time given 2000-2100 hrs. The serviceman did not arrive until close to midnight. I called 3 times to ascertain an ETA. He was there all of 10 minutes, relaying to my wife there was nothing he could do the unit was not receiving electricity. Every other thing in the house had electricity. Never once did he check the service disconnect( I know because the have a pad lock on them and must be unlocked), not the safety shut off valve for an over flow nor the inside fuse! Left the house stating there was nothing he could do! Worst service ever!!!

So my daughter posted a while back about the $14,000 I paid these guys to fix my plumbing issue. First off, their technicians are pushy people telling me about all the repairs I need when all I needed was a drain unclogged for my A/C unit. Then they tried telling me it was going to cost $39,000 to replace all the plumbing in my house because it was apparently made of cast iron and was rusting away. When I scoffed at that, they offered to do a "bypass" for $14,000 to help "alleviate" the issue. Thinking that these guys were trustworthy, I agreed to it. I'm not a plumbing expert and don't know hardly anything about home repairs on this scale. I signed the "contract" at around 6pm that night, promptly paid them because, you know, they can't start work unless they are FULLY paid for the entire price of the repair, and then left. I didn't get a copy of the "contract " (that was my stupidity). And get this, they were at my house, digging in my yard before it was even 8am the NEXT DAY!!! I know for a fact you can't do ANY digging or construction work WITHOUT a permit in my city and permits TAKE TIME! You mean to tell me they got a permit after 6pm on a WEEKDAY evening from the city? City employees are gone after 5pm and permits take AT LEAST THREE (3) business days to finalize (and that's on a VERY good day). I didn't even have time to think over the decision to use these guys before they were tearing up my yard. On top of ALL THIS, they cut a 1 ft x 1 ft hole in the brick on the side of my house and then NEVER replaced the brick. IT'S STILL THERE A YEAR LATER!!! Talked to the "owner" via text and he said they were waiting on me to install a power outlet for the sump pump they installed. Like SERIOUSLY???? When would an electrician install a power outlet right next to a water pipe???? I kept getting run around and now they won't even contact me back. They damaged my house and now won't even have the common decency to fix their damage. This should be criminal!!!!

Dishonest business practices, does not honor their guarantees, insist on full payment before they perform any services. Managers unresponsive to customer concerns and downright rude when you speak to them. NEVER use these guys,. Complete shysters.

My father paid $14,000 in 2020 to have plumbing work done and after a year, they still haven't came back to finish putting the brick in the side of the house despite him reaching out to them via phone multiple times and them promising they will fix it. There's still a hole on the side of his house with missing brick. There's been no response from this company for over a month. Wish my father had gotten a 2nd opinion before he chose this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Will be adding a picture in later update to show how they left the house exposed to the outside elements.

Tech came for a dead AC. He said it needed a compressor saver "for about $400." He installed this in under a minute and charged me $603. The part costs about $50. The AC ran about 6 hours and died. The second tech said it needed freon, contrary to tech #1. Cost for this ranged from $250-750. I decided to pass. Tech #2 suggested I go for a new system, "about $7500" and the completely wasted $603 would go against the cost.

Looks like a scam, felt like a scam. Please learn from my $603 lesson.
I was contacted by Mosiac, On Time's finance people, letting me know the loan arrangement REQUESTED BY ON TIME for a new system had expired. Yes- It was a scam and reported to the Texas Attorney General.

Update- Jeff P called about my concerns & mocked me. He strongly denied this was a scam meant to sell new systems. He offered 1/2 a refund then later left a message saying 100% would be refunded.
