Bob Dolton launched this business in 1965. In 1981, Bob sold the company to a collective tied to Unique Indoor Comfort. In 1986, Unique developed by acquiring Hamilton Air Mart. Hamilton continued a independent entity until 1998, when it merged with the other company. In 2003, the company decided to affiliate with a franchise and altered its brand at that time.
The company was taken over by Randy Kelley in March 2012. Randy acquired the assets of Avery Air, a company functioning since 1957, from financial distress in March 2013. He took over SA Specialties of Dallas in October 2013.
In January 2014, the 10-year contract with the franchise expired, prompting the business to opt for a different direction. This is when On Time Experts was founded. This additionally permits the firm to deliver additional home offerings in the long run.
The fundamental values of the firm are still...100% Client Fulfillment, Whatever It Takes! In 1986, Randy began with the company, Bob Dolton/Unique Indoor Comfort, as a supply runner and supported in the administration. He swiftly advanced to a service technician and conducted installations.
In 1988, Randy became Service Manager. In this capacity, he managed phone calls, organized service calls, allocated technicians, acquired parts and equipment, managed inventory, processed daily paperwork, and revised Service Agreements.
In 1995, Randy advanced to President/General Manager. In this capacity, he oversaw daily operations, growing the firm from 10 employees to 30 by the time he purchased the firm.
The company was purchased by Randy Kelley in March 2012. In 2012 and 2013, Randy grew the company by over 52% each year, now boasting more than 80 team members.
Randy strongly believes in 100% Consumer Satisfaction, Whatever It Takes!

Recommended Customer Reviews

Excellent service, very knowledgeable technician, but very, very, very expensive compared to other HVAC companies. I would've gave it 5 stars if the pricing was reasonable, but it's not. I was way overpriced on the repair. Think twice before you choose this company for repairs.

Do yourself a favor, find someone, anyone, else to work on or install an AC system in your home. While they are generally "on time", there is very little, to no expertise to be found with this company.
We made the unfortunate decision to have On Time Experts install a new AC system in our house about 18 months ago. This new system ran great for the first 3 months, then the problems started. The AC compressor would simply not start unless you "rebooted" (throw the breaker for the compressor and the attic unit) the system and then it would start running again.
These issues persisted for 15 months, with over 10 service calls and the compressor failing to start properly over 100 times. The service technicians never seemed to understand the error codes from the system and refused to contact the manufacturer of the equipment for assistance. They changed out our thermostat 3 times, ran new wires, made up stories about software/firmware versions on our thermostat, replaced daughter boards in our attic unit...everything other than actually running diagnostics or tests on the compressor itself.
After 15 months of trying to work with OTE, we call the manufacturer directly and asked about our warranty options. The manufacturer recommended we engage a different company and have the proper system diagnostics run.
When the other company showed up, we explained what had been happening and their technician walked directly over to our compressor, pulled out a multi-meter and tested for faults. Surprise, surprise, there was a bad capacitor. They swapped it out, under warranty, and the system has been running as expected ever since.
Again, find someone, absolutely anyone, else to work on your AC system.

RUN!!!! On time? How about 6 weeks late!!! I set an appointment for an annual review. An initial appt was made for 3 weeks. They cancelled on the day of the appt. They set another appt 3 weeks out. They cancelled that one too on the day of the appt. I would never use them. They need to learn customer service and what "on time" actually means!!!

My annual visits expired. They asked if my AC was broken before they would send a tech out this time, so I was not in any emergency, So they put me on the waitlist. what do you know they never showed up or tried to schedule other than a day during the week. I waiting for the previous visit only to have them cancel. They tried to call couple days before the contract is up but at that point I wasn't available. Then they don't return an email asking for the refund for the second visit that they never attempted to even complete

This company is practing some very questionable practices.
Our 4 year old AC unit went out two days ago and wouldn't start up. It was Memorial Day making it even more difficult to find someone available to come out and help. I called on time experts and to my surprise they were able to have a technician come out in a few hours. That's where the good news stops.
Our technician seemed nice enough and after checking out our unit outside he told me that the capacitor had failed and a new one needed to be installed to replace the old one.
He presented me with two options - a normal dual capacitor which was similar to the one that had been on before ($600) or I could upgrade and go with a dual capacitor with a "capacitor saver" which would help reduce wear and be advantageous in the long run ($800). I was hesitant to pay that much for the equipment, but our AC was out, it was 100 degrees out, and I had a 9 month old baby in the house so my options were limited. I told the tech that we would go with the upgrade and pay the extra for increased efficiency and less long term wear and tear.
He quickly swapped out the capacitor and sure enough, the AC was back up and running as good as new. We then settled up and the surprises started. He showed me the bill. Much to my surprise it was $1,400 - not the $800 we had previously agreed upon. He tried explaining to me that I wanted the "capacitor saver" and that was an add on IN ADDITION to the $600 capacitor itself. Had I of known that was the case, I would have just opted for the capacitor alone and saved $800. At that point it was too late and he said that it had already been installed.
Totally dishonest approach in explaining my options to me as he made me believe I was selecting an upgraded capacitor - not buying an additional piece of equipment in addition to the capacitor. To make matters worse, after doing some research online, the capacitor is only $10-$50. Complete highway robbery.
I appreciate the fact that they were able to get out to help us on a holiday. I thought the technician was nice enough initially. Felt like a complete betrayal when he then showed me the bill in which I was getting charged for two pieces of equipment instead of one. I have no doubt that this is the way he has been told to sell equipment.
I will not be returning as a customer of the on time experts and I warn you of their sales approach that is not a transparent one in the least.

On time expert is a big lie had appointment for service on may 10 didn't call had cancel me without notice assured me for new appointment may 17 and change my appointment again that not on time expert...

I will give 1 star because it won't allow me to give zero. Called for routine preventative maintenance on a 2 year old a/c system. First available appointment was in 2 weeks. Said they would call morning of the appointment. No problem. They had not called by 9:30 so I called them. Was told they would check with dispatch and get right back to me. 2 and 1/2 hours later I called back. Same lady told me she would find out and call right back. 2 hours later they called and wanted to reschedule for another day. Told them I wasn't going to waste another day waiting on them Since they were obviously not reliable. I would never recommend them.

I've been waiting for someone to come replace a hose bib for two days now. Yesterday a technician showed up late and brought the wrong part. Today the technician is late and no one has been able to give me a guaranteed ETA. They basically just told me "he'll get there when he gets there." Terrible customer service and a waste of time and money.

Man these guys sure sound good on their commercials. It's REALLY hit and miss. Look at their rating. Had some plumbing done last summer and they were ...OK. Was talked into a yearly contract that's supposed to save me money and move me to the head of the line, BUT. Called for my Winter furnace check and had to cancel the first one after the techs were over an hour late. I'm typing this review an hour and a half after my text from them says when they would arrive. ON YIME EXPERTS??? So, here I am after getting on the phone and finding out that I'm still liable for the remainder of payments on the year even after I've paid for this long and they have not delivered on their end. Doesn;t that void a contract??? Steer clear, amigos.

Ridiculous quote for a service that wasn't even needed. Glad I got a second opinion. Also overcharged for call out despite advertising a special and telling me one price over the phone, and didn't actually do anything but write up an estimate for things I didn't even need.
