SCAM ALERT: If you live in the Lansdale, Harleysville, North Wales area please do not use 'On Point Plumbing'. We had a fairly serious plumbing issue over the weekend. I extensively explained the problem both over the phone and in person. Mike originally quoted $200 for making a Saturday house call (completely understandable for a weekend), then proceeded to take 2 hours to investigate the issue. Advised it may wind up costing $350. An hour later, realizes that he does not have the right tool and would need to return Sunday with the tool and it would cost $450. In my opinion, it is a shady business practice to quote a low price to get in the door and then charge more than double because you were ill-prepared to solve the issue. But, the story gets worse. Upon completion he advises my wife 'This could be a recurring issue, next time it will only cost $250 to fix.' Mike gave us the 'We rely on word of mouth advertising' speech while putting us through the ringer. Here's my word of mouth: Avoid. Hire someone else. Spread the word about this scam artist.
