We had water leaking into our basement whenever we flushed the upstairs toilet. He came out and diagnosed the problem as a cracked cast iron pipe in a chase, but said as a one man operation he wasn't equipped for a project that size. Didn't charge us anything, but his diagnosis turned out to be right on the money.

He also came out to take a quick look at our hot water heater, but told us it probably wouldn't be worthwhile paying to service it. Didn't charge us that time either. He's an honest guy who knows his stuff and won't rip you off or promise to do more than he's able to deliver. Will definitely call him up whenever we have a problem.

We had a pretty bad leak under our kitchen sink and into the basement pipes...with a 5 gallon bucket we were emptying every couple of days. I had tried to reach other plumbers in the area, but my calls/messages hadn't been returned. John, on the other hand, called back literally within 2 minutes and was at my house the next day at lunchtime. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, takes the time to answer questions and give a heads-up about possible issues that can happen. We have more work to be done, and I'm relieved we've found someone close, reliable, and skilled. Highly recommended.

He was the only plumber in the area who gave us the time of day - everyone else was ""too busy"" for us. On top of the expert service, John was so kind and courteous. I called on-call plumbing when an outside water valve broke and water started leaking under the house. John was here in 20 minutes, crawled under the house, and took care of it right away. He was really friendly and knowledgeable. Great service.

Overpriced. Unskilled. I was ""fired"" as their client after their replaced grinder pump system sprung a leak. George laplant in troy only reliable service company for sleepy hollow residents. This is Not the company to work with.

Amazing local business providing 5 Star Service. On a very cold night this February my boiler compressor broke. I called in a panic to many different businesses to get answering machines or services. Then I called On Call and a live person answered the phone. Although they are a busy small business they were able to get to my house within 3 hours and fixed it quickly and affordably. I will definitely call John + John for my next plumbing or heating needs.
