If I could leave zero stars, I would! They came to replace a zone valve, and that went fine.... BUT..... they left and didn't turn the hot water back on! Ok, no biggie, except that nobody can be reached at this company that advertises 24/7 emergency service!! How do they take care of emergencies when they can't even be reached?? My 88 year old mother was left on her own to figure it out. It's now been over 24 hours and they've still not returned any of the numerous messages that were left!! Not good!! How can they ignore a little old lady's messages and simple request that they turn her hot water back on?!?!

EDIT: The person who came to replace the valve finally called b and apologized. He explained that they were having issues with their phones and messaging system. All is good, our faith in them is restored.

Great company; great service. We've been using them for years. Ask for Rich. He has fixed a myriad of plumbing issues for us over the years and just recently fixed a problem no one else could solve. The technicians that service our furnace every year are knowledgeable and we've consistently had great service. We've had to get new circulators and other parts for an older unit and the life of this unit has been extended because of OMS. Prices are always fair, and as one reviewer commented, the scheduling person always answers the phone, and when you're appointment is scheduled, they come on time and do the job properly. Highly recommend for regular service or an emergency.

My last Furnace Service contractor abandoned me. So I called my oil delivery company - Valley Oil - who are very professional and ALWAYS have the best rates on heating oil - and they said that a lot of their customers use O.M.S. Heating and Air Conditioning in Pleasant Valley, so I gave them a call. O.M.S. worked with my schedule and fit me right in. They arrived just when they said they would. One of their Senior Techs - 'Ed' - just left my house. Ed was really professional and sharp. He diagnosed the problem right away (a circuit board in the control panel was all that it was) but he didn't just do the needed repair and walk away. No, no, Ed took the time to test the furnace and ALL of its functions and settings from top to bottom! He checked EVERYTHING!! He was a true professional who did a completely thorough job! And, on top of that, he was a really nice guy! The cost of the service call was very competitive, and I was very impressed by Ed's knowledge and professionalism. O.M.S. is now DEFINITELY my plumbing and heating contractor!! Great job guys!!

P.S. The previous company - the one that left me to hang in the wind - was R G Heating and Plumbing, aka R G Home Services. They had installed a new furnace for me in January. It failed multiple times in the first month it was installed. It died again on July 2. I had been a good customer to R G, but suddenly I was NOBODY! Rich at R G refused to call me back, refused to stand behind his work - just left me hanging - essentially saying ""screw you""!! I had previously been a good customer, I was now just garbage to Rich at R G. If Rich can't bang you for a quick buck, YOU DON'T MATTER TO HIM!!

We have used OMS Plumbing and Heating for our home/office for at least 10 years. They used to be responsive, reasonable in price and competent. Don't know what happened to them, but their service of late has become worse than atrocious - even dangerous. After installing an air handler, they failed to clean up after themselves leaving behind dozens of very sharp wire staples all over the floor. Not realizing what had occurred, I stepped on one and ended up with a half inch wire staple in the bottom of my foot. Their next job was replacement of a piece of clogged cast iron drain pipe in our basement. They decided to replace it with PVC instead of cast iron, but failed to properly ventilate the work site. While they were working, the fumes apparently built up to dangerous levels and triggered gas sensors in our basement which automatically summoned the Poughkeepsie Fire department and Central Hudson to our property. Since they were working in a basement, I would have given them a pass except there were ""Bilco"" doors about five feet from them which clearly should have been opened. To make matter worse, while the PFD and CH were running all over property they slammed a picket fence gate against our car and cause paint and body damage. OMS also replaced a domestic, hot water heater for us and tried to get away without taking out a required building permit with the City of Poughkeepsie. Naturally, the POK building inspector noticed their trucks at our property, made an onsite visit to stop work until the proper permit was pulled. Shouldn't have bothered with them again but being desperate we called with an emergency yesterday. A second floor radiator was leaking and the water was coming through into our kitchen on the first floor. The OMS owner - Richard answered our call rudely. Stated they were very busy due to the cold and told us to call someone else. The other person - a woman who answers phone calls is also rude. We won't be calling them back and suggest you save yourself the trouble of dealing with OMS and just call another plumbing and heating company.

We have been customers since we bought our house over 25 years ago. They always do a great job whether it is serving or repairing our furnace, replacing our furnace, or installing our central air! Always pleasant and always cleans up after their work.

I can't leave a star. I was never quoted how much replacement parts would be and the work was done and the bill handed to me even after I asked before he started how much it would be and he said he had to check the furnace first. next thing I know he was done and handed me almost a $500 Bill. I told him I could afford all of that so I called the office. when she found out he didn't quote me first she spoke to him and then told me I should have been more aggressive. a week later I came home to a flood in my house and water pourng out of my furnace. I will never recommend this company and I put.up posts on Facebook and Instagram to let people know.

I was recommended by my oil company to use these clowns. They told me on the phone the rate was $90 an hour. They guy shows up tells me it is going to be $275. I said ok assuming it was going to take him a few hours and some parts to fix the unit. He was there for 45 minutes and just cleaned the unit until it started up and used no parts. It still does not run properly and they want to charge me another $95 an hour to go back out and do a ""tune up."" Do not use these rip off artist. Lady on the phone was very rude when i told her i wasn't happy about the price she said they charge that because, ""It is dirty."" Must be nice making $350 an hour to get dirty.

Very happy with the customer service here and the company in general. I got their contact information as ""recommended"" by Valley Oil. They answer their phones, show up when they say they are going to and fix stuff that others screw up. The technician that came to my place, Rick, was a true professional and did a great job. Great company to do business with, I'm a new repeat customer! They accept cash/check/card.
