As I had the same problem as the other review I think its fair to say that we are both complaining about the same installation. Olshan was one of Home Depot's contractors to install water heaters purchased in their stores. We had a number of issues with them that ultimately led to the water heater nearly being removed from our home. Needless to say I don't recommend them but as they are only used by Home Depot you couldn't quite use them in a day to day capacity.

Home Depot is now farming out their jobs to another outfit called Buck's Plumbing (both of these are out of San Antonio and its the worst idea HD ever had). Buck's seems to either be Olshan in disguise or cleaning up the mess they left behind. Nonetheless we had a worse experience with them with the person we spoke with on the phone Aaron never kept his promise to pull our permit and get it taken care of. We had to do it all on our own and only just avoided the wrath of the city inspector after shelling out some additional cash.

If you see either one of these companies names beware.

Used them to install a new water heater. install was fine, we just needed an inspection by the city. Yeah, Olshan didn't take care of that and a year later we got a letter from them telling us this. I call Olshan to schedule the inspection (the consumer cannot do this themselves), the city inspector drops by, and tells me there is only one correction that they need to make. It was simple, on the outside of the house and then once they were done Olshan would reschedule the final inspection. They said I do not have to be home, it's on the outside of them home and the inspector can just stop by, verify and approve.

Well, here it is December, this happened in July this year, and got another letter, certified this time telling me the final inspection hasn't been done. Well, I had asked Olshan how I was going to verify this all got done, they just said they'd 'take care of it'. They were sorry about the delay. This letter now tells me otherwise. While yes, the correction was taken care of, according to what the initial inspector told me had to be done and we still can't get Olshan to take of the inspection. So, now Olshan has had another plumbing company send us a certified letter telling us we need an inspcetion, YEAH I KNOW THAT!! THe guy was very nice, I explained the run around I'm getting, and he said he'd look at the paperwork and call back to set up the inspection.

Why the hell didn't this happen a year ago, much less 5 months ago!!

NEVER USE OLSHAN, you'll be dealing with your install for a long time after. And you CANT do anything but wait for them to get off their butts and take care of a simple task. Never again. Such a headache.
