We always turn to Olivero when we have a plumbing job, large or small, and they've always been great about resolving it. This time our kitchen sink backed up with no warning. We called Olivero at 10:30 AM, ,and Vincent was at our door by 1:00 PM the same day. He was very efficient and thoughtful -- even going so far as to come in the house through the side gate and back door so as to avoid tracking over our carpet. Problem fixed in less than half an hour.

My husband and I always try to support local businesses over the ""big box"" companies and Olivero's makes that easy. A family owned and run business, they are helpful, informative, willing to work with you and professional. No matter the size of job (they came to deal with a kitchen sink in our rental and will be doing the plumbing work on our whole house remodel), I can't say enough good about them.

Whoa, stay away from this company. The numerous people complaining on Yelp that they are too rude are right.

I'm a landlord with multiple units, so with regularity I call a plumber. Since I first used Olivero in 2007, I have used them many times, but not exclusively because I use the plumbing company that is available soonest. I was happy until they sent a plumber in 2014 we had never seen before, and were billed more than one hour extra. With a little rudeness, and much delay, they agreed to drop one hour.

But when a recent job was done, under their one hour minimum (the visit was 45 minutes) we got a bill for 1.5 hours. My wife phoned and after explaining the issue to a receptionist, the receptionist handed the phone to another woman, an owner named Julie, who without so much as a hello yelled, ""That is your bill!"" and if we didn't like it she would charge the tenant. My wife pointed out that the bill was for an hour and half labor but the plumber was only on site for 45 minutes. Julie ignored this, and simply yelled again that the bill was for $180. My wife tried to clarify if the minimum was an hour or an hour and a half. Julie said it was an hour and a half, threatened again to bill the tenant, and hung up. Yes, hung up on her own long time costumer.

I called up the next day and without saying who I was, asked what the minimum was. I was told it was one hour. Then I got an idea. I called back and asked if they charge for travel time. They do! And our neighborhood would be 30 minutes round trip. With travel time that would get us close to the hour and half they charged, so we paid the bill, but no other plumbing company I use charges traveling time (I checked) and not only is this company not telling you they charge for traveling time, they don't have the communication skills to take a question and explain it to you.

I believe communication is paramount to any business dealings. We're through with them.

I called Olivero Plumbing to repair a minor kitchen sink issue. The company is located about 8-10 minutes away and they stated they do not come out to Emeryville. She said it was too expensive to come out! This woman must not know where Emeryville is located. What a tool!

Most of the reviews of Olivero are quite positive, but I just had a very unpleasant conversation with the owner of the company. In short, one of their plumbers came out to do a job and to let us know what would be involved in doing another job, which I wanted to wait to do until we returned from vacation. So when I called to have the other job done, they said they'd have to send out a plumber to evaluate, which I wasn't happy to pay $120 for, since the first plumber had already done that. Nothing I said would change the owner's decision to re-charge us, and I ended up feeling that they are very deficient in the customer service department, so I will definitely never use them again. When I said I that I was going to let my friends and neighbors know about my experience, the owner's last words to me were, ""I don't care if you bad mouth me."" So be it.

I have been using Olivero Plumbing for years; for good reason......They are good!! They have replaced original small sewer lines under the house, replaced three toilets, cleaned numerous plugged lines all with a friendly, efficient, businesslike manner. They are a small local company who works hard for you, and they can be trusted to get the job done right.

I gave this company 5 stars because they deserve it....simple as that......

Oliveira is a great local source.

I had a minor issue the week before Christmas and all plumbers/ handy men were booked solid. Oliveira Plumbing sent someone the very next morning. They were in and out in 15 minutes. Cleaned up entirely after themselves and sent a bill in the mail.

Was honestly the most hassle free and easy experience I had with a plumber. Although the issue was not minor it was time sensitive and the next day arrival puts them on my rolodex as 5 star.

I call Olivero plumbing whenever I have a plumbing problem. They are quick to respond. If it's an urgent problem, something that may get out of hand, they will work you in that day. The servicemen are on time, professional, quick, and best of all, they don't leave a mess for you. They have never presented a bill to me after the job was done, instead they just bill me. I find that quite refreshing. I am amazed that they are so reasonable with their charges. As long as they are in business, and I am in charge of plumbing problems at two homes, I will call them.
