I had a problem with my sump pumps as I had not heard them working for some time . I called the plumber that installed them 3 times and did not get a call back. I've used another plumber in the past but wasn't real happy with their work. I called Ohio Valley Plumbing and Kamden came in a very short time and checked every thing out and said one of the pumps was in need of a new part. He told me the price and it seemed fair so he did the job. I trust his work and his service was excellent and I won't hesitate to use him again. I happy to find someone who is reliable who I can count on.

Great response and excellent plumbing service from Ohio Valley.
We had a sump pump problem and needed help. We are pleased that we found Ohio Valley Plumbing Co. We called their office on Sunday and left a message. The owner, Kamden Mahoney, called us back a little later. After describing the problem, it was decided we did not need 24/7 service (Yes they do 24/7 service). I was told to shut off the pump with the circuit breaker and then we could wait until Monday to have service. Kamden called us a few minutes before he left to drive to our home on Monday. When he arrived, I described the sump problem to him and he went immediately into the crawl space to determine the reason for the problem. When he came out of crawl space, he described the actual reason why our sump pump was constantly running and not discharging water. It turns out a strap that was to hold the pump in place had broken. When the strap broke, the constant vibration of the pump to the PVC pipe caused the pipe to break. When the pipe broke, the pump turned on it side and continued to pump but the water was not going out the discharge pipe because it had broken off. So the water had pooled up and since the cutoff switch did not turn off, the pump just kept running. So eventually the pump would probably have burnt up from constantly running. That would have been an expensive fix. But since Kamden found the problem quickly, he was able to disable the pump, re-position the pump and re-strap the pump in three directions for added strength. Then he fixed the broken pipe and installed a new check switch to swap out the old one that was on the pipe now. He then restarted the pump and checked that the discharge pipe was handling the water properly. He then inspected the yard to find the pipe output and make certain the discharge water was pumped into right location. Everything checked out and the service call was complete. Kamden explained why the problem had happen and what he had to repair to correct it. He had an itemized bill for us and we were pleased that he was able to complete all of the service within the initial service charge which includes one hour of labor. Very fair pricing for service provided. I would trust Ohio Valley to do any of our or your plumbing needs.
