O'Grady Plumbing is the ONLY company to call in the event of a water main break. John O'Grady showed up at the site within hours, evaluated the problem, took pictures, and then visit me at my home (a different location). This is a FAMILY BUSINESS. John's father founded the company. He is extremely knowledgeable, articulate, and well-connected. He pulled the needed permits within hours and was on the job the next morning. He had the street closed and the job was done in two days. In sharp contrast, do not call Luke of Underground Plumbing Watermains & Sewers. He was unable to give me any useful information when I called him and was a no-show. He never even followed up.

I can't say enough about this family business.
I needed a curb valve installed and was told to called these guys for the job. I had no idea about permits and cost but John and his crew took care of the entire process. They were able to find the valve that some idiot buried into the sidewalk and put in a new one saving me a fortune!!

I will never call another company when it comes to this kind of work

I have nothing but good things to say about O'Grady Plumbing NYC....I have had a main drain backed up issue 3 times since I bought my house 1 1/2 years ago. I had used Empire but I felt they only solved the issue temporarily and they were very costly to happen again after 6montha. So I decided to call Roto Rooter. Two young in experience Plumbers came to my home.They stayed 30mins used a 50ft snake once and told me there was nothing that can be done that O would need to contact the city to break the concrete to get at the drain with the blockage.

Looking through the internet for another Plumber I saw great reviews about O'Grady so decided to get another opinion. John called me and he was super sweet and tmasked all the right questions. He sent over Con. Con was so knowledgeable and went beyond any Plner that we have had work on the drain. He snaked twice, did the jet three times and did the camera to show me what was going with my the drain. If it was another Plumber they would have gave up after a hour. But Con worked on my drain for 4 hours and made the drain was good. With all that said they also charged me half the cost of the work. Any other Company would have charged double or triple. I recommend O'Grady 1000%! They are good people who care!

So my Mom has had this terrible sewer problem for over a year now. She has had a number of plumbers come in to help but before long, the sewet backs up again. She called for help yesterday and was connected to John from O'Grady Plumbing, John said he would come that day (and he did) and he came with a MONSTER piece of equipment that got the job done! He gave my Mom so good, sound, reasonable advice that I believe will help her going forward. He and Jamie were quick, knowledgeable, and patient with all our questions. Five stars for the work, but TEN stars for the professional time they took to explain things to my Mom. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

I called at 9:45 pm about my clogged washer drain. John O'Grady called me back within a half hour. He said he doesn't do this type of work but would give me the name of someone that does and is good. I thought it was nice of him to try to help me out.

Don't call anybody else. This is the most outstanding company that I have ever dealt with. I needed emergency help to replace my sewer pipe. They came on a Sunday morning and finished the job the same day. A very big job, they came with a big crew and worked and worked and worked. Very polite and very professional. I highly recommend them.
